Sign up was a bit cumbersome with limited staff being available and they closed totally for lunch. Sign up done they did provide a tour of facility and space we were to rent. Property is very clean including restroom. Security is good as far a we can see and it' popular spot. Staff is friendly and other than first sign up it a very smooth operation. Can't manage autopay. Should be simple but they failed to add the card properly then charged crazy fees. Their system no longer accepted ach, fine. Went in to add credit card and they did not do it. So then they pile up the fees and threaten selling your unit. Not professional at all. Then when you tell them what was supposed to happen, they just say "we're not sure because the people that worked here were fired. " read more

Avoid at all costs. They have no sense of customer loyalty. After being a customer for 4 years (and never missed a payment), they insisted on having me pay for an extra month because of lack of notice. I decided to leave and move my stuff because the key fob they gave me was faulty and never worked correctly. I also noticed that under the new management that started earlier this year, the place was going downhill - dirty, doors not closing completely, and major problems with the front gate. read more

As someone else wrote, this is a decent place, but overpriced and no regard for goodwill or the customer. Their exit policy is disgusting. Their manager is extraordinarily unprofessional and has a very difficult time managing her emotions. She actually took time to harass and berate me over email. I cannot say that I've encountered a more unprofessional or disturbing person. Perhaps, instead of harassing customers, you should use that time to sweep the pile of leaves that sat under my boat for three years. Either way, wow, just wow. read more

As a storage facility they do a great job. However they have a stupid policy which forces you to "give notice" 1 month before you want to cancel. We gave notice on the 3rd of the month with our unit completely empty and cleaned, and we have to pay an additional mont of rent. Change the policy for the better of your customers. read more

After having an unpleasant experience at another storage facility, we found the people at Interstate a breath of fresh air. Friendly and professional! The door to the office was locked but it had a sign to call the office. We called, and spoke to a very professional lady who said she could show us an available unit in the climate controlled building. She took us up to the unit, very clean facilities. Units were nice, we rented that same day. Due to Covid, she put chairs outside in the shade for us to fill out paperwork. Paperwork was gone over in detail, billing terms and use of key fob. Very pleased with our experience, would highly recommend to anyone needing some extra storage. read more

Our couch was ruined, we came to move it today and found it infested with mice, despite having regularly checked on and moved things around our unit over the time our stuff was there. The front desk was really nice but was clear the company isn't liable for these damaged. They had known, extensive rodent problems in other buildings but we were never notified. I usually don't leave reviews but I have to give Interstate Storage a 5 star rating. Christy in the office has gone above and beyond. She has always contacted me in time if I need to cancel my storage spot or continuing going month to month. She is always available to take my calls and answers my emails in a timely manner. Always pleasant to deal with. If she is on a lunch break or day off Ed is always helpful as well. The facility is always clean and she has always listened to our concerns about "neighbors" next to us. The facility is easy to get to right off the freeway and we always feel safe no matter what time we go there. read more

I used this storage facility for a temporary storage when I moved and I have to say that I was first in awe with the size of the facility and all that they had to offer for the various types of storage. I've never seen anything so massive. That was my first impression -- size. Second was the friendly staff, they always greeted with a smile and were always pleasant! The only thing that discouraged me was that when shopping around they didn't offer a military discount, unlike the other places in the area; despite that I still chose to store my items here because of the gated security, alarmed buildings and individual units. This place is awesome! I highly recommend this pace. It is super close, affordable, and ran by really great people. The owners, who live onsite, are down to earth, honest and super nice. This is secure gated facility that is very convenient if you have to run and grab or take something to storage. almost too convenient as i was using this place as my offsite closet. I have felt very secure storing my belongings. I have had a 5x5 and a 10x10 storage space and both of them were part inside of a building so I didn't have to worry about the weather or climate. They have spacious elevators and carts readily available to use also to help move your stuff into your space. they even have light timers you can switch on when you need a bit more light in your storage space. all in all this is a great place at a really good price which is pretty much amazing in my book. I would like just give my 2 cents worth here. I have been storing several items here for years (travel trailers, cars, personal items) In all those years, I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The place is safe, spacious and clean. I tow my travel trailer with ease. They have so many facilities there for campers: pumpout, trailer wash, air, etc. Recently, I rented more storage to accommodate my things when we were moving homes. Was so tired one time and thought I locked up. The management (Ed & Christy) was extremely helpful in pointing out my mistake and offering a remedy to secure my space even when I had already left town. The situation was remedied efficiently. That's excellent service right there! I have no hesitation recommending this place to my friends. As a matter of fact, I have friends that already store their belongings here. I've had a unit in the climate controlled bldg for 3 years and just rented a second larger unit in another building. The facility is essentially spotless, always easy to drive up and access bldg entrances, flatbeds by the elevators for moving your belongings, electronic fobs to open main gates and disarm unit alarms. Great facility; should've moved here sooner. This is a place that can store everything from small storage units to boats and RV's. There's a car/RV wash area and they'll let you wash your private autos too. Friendly staff, clean and modern facility, with easy access off 580. You can store anything hear from household items to your 50 ft home on wheels....only reason I give Interstate storage 4 stars is because the hours of operation are a little thin. I went back to add my rate increases. It was not 60% in 3 years it was closer to 37% in 3 years which is more than 5% a year. I started in 2013 at $55. 2014 $58 up abt 6%. 2015 $67 up abt 16%. 2016 $75 up abt 12%. I was happy with the place and people, I just could not afford the rate increase. read more

I am very particular when it comes to storing personal items. I look at the cleanliness, and security of a storage place. The next test is the people who run the place. I first dealt with the employees then the managers. The employees were well presented and spoke clearly. They knew what they were doing and made me feel like this was the best choice for storage. They went over the rules and assured me this was a safe and secure facility. I was taken on a deluxe tour of the facility. Wow! Impressive place it is! I brought an associate back the next day. She said, " I have worked in storage facilities in the past. This is the best place I have ever seen". We met the managers on the way out. They were great people, as well. They certainly know how to hire staff. Great experience and I will recommend Interstate Storage to my friends. read more

My buddy has a unit here and I was helping him move his stuff. If I lived closer, this would be where I store my stuff too! The place was clean, large and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They seem to be a good place for large vehicle storage too as I saw a big car wash area and some doors that looked like the fit rv's. read more

Agreeing with the other people who have written here, this IS by far thee cleanest and nicest facility for miles! They have 2 RV/boat and car washes that i use every time i come and go! The managers and front office staff are so pleasant and friendly, they even offer you a fresh cup of coffee from their Keurig regardless if you rent that day or not! Everybody that works there is very informative, and if they do not know an answer to your question they WILL get one for you asap!! The prices are very comparable, and with all the extras they offer on facility, you really walk away feeling like you're winning! Would definitely recommend MORE friends!! read more

Think twice about signing a contract with this storage facility. They have no 3-5 day grace period if you choose to cancel the contract. To be fair with this business, their contract clearly states that you have to give 30 days notice for cancellation of the contract even if you decide one hour later that you don't need the storage unit. There is NO grace period for changing your mind no matter what. Because of this inflexible policy, we are out over $400 even though we signed the contract only 3 days prior. However, the units are clean and the facility is well maintained, just be absolutely sure you want the storage unit for at least a month, and don't change you mind. read more

I was planning on moving some things out of my storage unit today. I was surprised even after talking to the Manager that the elevators were broken. My unit is on the second floor. This meant that I could not move anything out of my unit unless I trucked it down a narrow stairwell . I asked the manager why, even after just talking to him that no one informed me that the elevator was broken. He said he was sorry and forgot! I wasted a whole day. When we first rented I was hesitant on renting on the upper floor but was drawn to the large elevator and carts available for moving items. I feel sorry for anyone who traveled far to move large items today and couldn't. I wish someone would of let us know. The staff was less than helpful and seemed doubt founded that I was irritated . I wasted my day people! I asked if I could have ths day taken my bill or something. Another dumb look from the Manger still not knowing why I was upset. read more

I've been a customer of Interstate Storage for a number of years. In all fairness I will say that their facility is kept clean and secure and I have no issue with that part of their business. Every Feb. 1st, I pay for the entire year for a 10x10 storage unit. I prefer to just pay one bill instead of trying to make it in there each month in the hope that someone is in the office and not out on the property away from the office. I emptied my storage unit this weekend and went in there today to close out the rental with their office staff and being paid up through Jan. 31st 2016, I was expecting a refund for the month of January. I get flatly told check your contract, you don't get a refund, so while I could understand no refund for the remaining portion of December, I basically get told, thanks for the money for an extra 48 days you won't be using the unit which they can rent out even during that time to someone else. I will need to look up the contract from years ago, if it is indeed in there, it should have been pointed out at the time of rental, I am sure if it is in the contract, it is buried in size 2 font somewhere. Needless to say, if you want to rent from these unethical and immoral people, pay month by month so you don't get ripped off. I am actually leaning towards filing a small claims action against them, win or lose, purely on principle. Renter's beware. read more
