I've been renting a storage unit from these guys for quite a while. The place is clean. The staff is polite. The hours of operation are great.............................. These people pay attention to what's going on I changed the lock on my unit and literally the next day I got a phone call asking what was going on. Thought I'd jump on and give a review after spending years renting out several units from here. If you are looking for a place to secure your belongings, I can't recommended Dublin Security Storage enough. The amount of effort and time spent by the employees to maintain the property, units, and the security of your stuff is exactly what you are looking for in a storage facility. Casey who is constantly working around the facility I have to give a lot of credit to. Recently I was in a hurry and had forgotten to fully secure the lock on my unit. Within the hour I was contacted my him addressing the issue. With hundreds of units here, it amazed me how attentive he was to everyone's lock and unit to notice my lock was not fully closed. I rented a unit from this place. I had to move out because the unit they rented me was installed illegally. They did not get building permits or approval from the city so the units had to be removed. What kind of shady business would install storage units without getting city approval and go through the inspection process? It doesnt cost them any money as they can pass the cost down through monthly charges to customers. They made victims out of their tenants. read more

My husband and I needed to move out of our place around June, when most people also move out and transition to other opportunities. We checked several reviews and were happy with the more than satisfactory reviews from old and current clients. We were fortunate to snag one of the last two spaces in the storage location. The place is secure - no problems there. The hours for accessing the storage is a bit inconvenient since it closes early, but we haven't had an issue about the hours since storing our stuff here. Well I have but one issue with this storage place. Rented a 10 x 20 space with the knowledge that the shelf rack I am putting in it is 18 feet 8 inches long. Upon moving everything into the unit and then the shelf rack we come to discover that it is actually a 10 feet by 18 feet unit. So I now have to go to the office and tell them I need an actual 10 x 20 which of course they don't have because all of their "10 x 20's" are actually 10 x 18 and I end up with a 10 x 25 at an increased rate. 1 star for the place being clean 1 star for the friendliness of staff 1 star for good working gate and keypad minus 2 stars for advertising a 10 x 20 that's a 10 x 18 and for making me have to double move 10,000 lbs of construction equipment. read more

The owners, Scott and Jeanette, live on the premises and are super helpful and friendly. They take good care of their storage business, which means my stuff is safe, secure, clean, calm. The storage rates are very reasonable for the Bay Area, and there are last minute supplies for sale in the office. This place makes my globe trotting possible. I have stored my RV here for quite a while. The place is always dirty because it is right next to a landscaping business, where they have open piles of dirt which blow onto the storage area. When we pick up the RV it is always caked in dirt. The office is unapproacheable due to the fact that the managers both smoke. The office reeks of smoke. My wife and I would always have a headache after being in the office. The female manager is unfriendly and disrespectful. She even got verbally abusive after a misunderstanding. read more

I have pretty much nothing bad to say about Dublin Security Storage. Scott and Janette are great. The place has good security, everything is automated. Cameras everywhere. As clean as you would expect. Their rates are competitive. They have carts and lifts to help you move your stuff. They really do take security serious, and will run after you if you try to squeak through the gate following someone. My one complaint, is the office is not always open during the times they say they are open, maybe they closed early for some reason, but I have found this out the hard way on a few occasions. This wouldn't normally be a problem unless you need to use the carts or lifts, which require a key from the office in question. Also the office smell of cigarettes kills me slowly, I feel bad for some of the receptionists they have in there from time to time. Smoking outside could fix this. I once entered the gate when it was left open and got a one-time warning for not entering my code, fair enough, except the reason given was that its so they can better protect my stuff. That would be nice if the gate wasn't broken and left open all day to let anyone in. When I talked to the property managers about this they didn't feel bad about the gate being broken but upheld me breaking the rules of not entering my code at a wide open gate (at least it got fixed by the next time I went) and said just follow the rules on the property or be fined. Fair rules, but horrible customer service. Like another reviewer mentioned, the lady became verbally abusive over a short period of time regarding a misunderstanding, very unprofessional. This is the best storage company in the Tri-Valley area. They just replaced the old storage unit doors with new, lightweight, easy-to-roll-up models which lock securely and don't get stuck. The exterior of the property and the units are well-maintained and free from debris or junk. There is also a 16 foot truck that you can use to move your items into your new storage unit - you just pay for the gas. Tyson (manager) and Melissa and Manuel are very helpful and professional and always greet you with a smile. As an added advantage, the Penske rental trucks have automatic lift gates, which you can rent right at the office counter. I've been with them for 10 years and continue to stay because of the excellent service. read more

STAY CLEAR AT ALL COSTS NOT WORTH ANY SAVINGS!! The lady in the office is violent! I also had the problem with my storage not being the size it was advertised originally and paying for a smaller size storage then I rented. First, they were not in the office when they were supposed to be, and then they were not pleasant at all when I tried to address this issue. I witnessed this lady running out of the office once screaming at a customer profanities, and she was very violent. The customer almost had to run over her to get away from her violent behavior. I thought about calling the police. This place is near the freeway, so my stuff gets black dust on it. I also heard that they charge a $50.00 fee if you do not punch your code in when you go through the gate if it is left open, which it is at times. I am moving to another storage to avoid this type of drama, when I go to my unit. read more

This place is great! I have stored my things here for several months and always been greeted whether I come in the office or just coming on the property going to my unit. Scott and Jeanette are very friendly and always making sure the tenants are happy. I have come different hours of the day and they are always there at the times posted that they are open and always pleasant. There are rules and yes if you don't enter your code you can get fined however, it does say it in your lease and the sign is posted at the gate. This property is secure and I always feel safe going there even when my boyfriend is not with me. If you have to rent storage this is definitely the place I reccommend! read more

Stored motorhome there for years. Always have had to deal with the attitude of management that lives there. Jen(?) flipped out, don't touch her screen and don't park in front of the office. They have all there own cars parked close to the office and if you park in front the gate will stay open. Watch out, if you cause the gate to stay open you will be treated like a terrorist. Gave vacate notice and left. Enough is enough these people have no idea that we are the customer. There is plenty of spaces available, once you see how you are treated you will understand why. It's a big expensive renting a moving truck. They took great care of my husband and I especially with my husband being in the military.
