Alex arrived and was also very professional and thorough. He went to four different stores to find the correct mounting anchors for the under-mount sink that were missing from the retailer. I thought he would have to come back another day when he went to three stores and said he would have to order the proper part. Later same day, he reached out and asked if he could return that evening as he found the parts. He did and worked until after 9 at night to get the job done. He did a terrific job and you just don't often come by that kind of work ethic and service. Mounting a vanity and sink involves adhesive and caulking, plumbing, install of faucet, attaching to the wall. He cut no corners in doing the job right. He also was very detailed in finishing and clean up. They were both wonderful to work with and I would hire again for any project. The value for the work was very good too. This review is about the process and not necessarily the work. I have used this handyman service twice now- the first time everything went as expected and the work was high quality. The second time, I hired them to paint a studio shed, inside and outside. A few things that went not so great, and you should take into consideration. First thing that went wrong, the techs were supposed to arrive with primer and they did not, Tatiana said she told them. The techs said she did not. I showed them the text messages that showed I asked for it, and they went off to get it. Next, Tatianna quoted 6-8 hours at $75/hour to complete the job. I understand, this is just an estimate but the job nearly doubled in time. The techs stayed 9 hours the first day, and then she told me they would need an additional 5-6 hours to complete. When I questioned why it was taking so long, Tatiana stated she quoted me under their normal rate and it should normally be $100/hour per tech. She became difficult to work with and accusatory from that point on. I agreed to have them finish for the day and leave the work undone, however the work that was completed was not done correctly. Tatiana again, began to accuse me of not communicating to the techs correctly, and it was all my fault. I have texts messages of everything that was clearly communicated to her and I explained the same to the techs when they arrived. She also blamed me for not checking on their work, as if I have time to oversee the entire job when I'm working myself the entire day, one back to back conference calls. There is also a language barrier, so keep that in mind. Sergei is okay but he needs to use a google translator to have any in depth conversation. I am giving them 2 stars because the first job was good. The second was not great, and I'm a reasonable person. The rude, defensive and accusatory attitude I got from Tatiana made me want to stop the job and pay someone else to finish the work. The bottom line with this company is, your experience will be good, until something goes wrong because they have poor conflict management and resolution skills. Also, they completely ruined all my freshly poured concrete- it's all covered in paint, and they have dropped paint all over our yard. read more
