I came in on 8/30/21 and received an oil change for $85 and a smog check for $47. The total was $133 My car did not pass the smog check so Ruben told me to get the issue fixed, come back and he'll pass me. I had to take my car to a mechanic a couple of times to figure out why the check engine light was coming back on. 35 days later, on 10/5/21 I brought my car back and Ruben tried to charge me $133 again. He said that after 30 days there's nothing he can do. He never mentioned this when I first came and I don't understand why it would be $133 again. The oil change was already done so why should I be charged for that again. When I explained this he said that I didn't have to pay again. I think he looked for an opportunity to scam me and I would not recommend doing business here. If you do come here, keep your receipt and have everything in writing. read more

If you want no help and wanna pay for the no help then go here. I had to do a smog cause of change of ownership and my regular place was closed so I decided to try this place out. I wish I never did. When I got there he didn't even bother checking to see if my car would pass or not before doing the smog (that's important and I'll tell u y in a bit) , he tested it and it failed. He charged me the full amount and told me I can retest once it's fixed so I asked him what was wrong and his only response was to drive it more. I went to the shop 2-3 more times that week after driving for atleast 100-200 miles and everytime I went there he would hook it up to a handheld obd scanner and would tell me if it would pass or not..... y couldn't he do that for me before failing my car. I finally did research and told him that the car has a known issue and his response was call referre. Where is the customer service , where is the help? Quick to take my money but doesn't wanna help me find out what's wrong with the car. Do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Doesn't get any easier than this. You drive up, drive in and they get to work immediately. None of that crap wait and slow service like other oil change places. While they let the oil drain out, they check the tire pressure and check and fill all the fluids in your car. I have never had to wait to get service here. I think this place is owner operated as I'm always helped by the same man or a younger guy who I'm assuming is his son. No haggling with service techs trying to get you to replace parts or get unnecessary services done on your car. You're in and out of there in 15 minutes tops! Well worth my $25 bucks for an oil change in order to avoid the jiffy lube/ez lube hassle! read more

I've been here several times for smog. Always in and out with no problems. There is a small waiting room. It's an old work shop so nothing fancy. They have Coffee, great attitudes and work fast. AAA is right down the street. Very convenient. read more

Well, this certainly is the speediest oil change I've gotten. The interaction was a bit weird, although not unpleasant. I went to Insta-Tune and told them I needed an oil change. They told me to take a seat while they worked on car. I wish I had timed how long the oil change took because it was super speedy. Definitely under 10 minutes, maybe as fast as 5. After that, I got my car back, paid $25, and was on my merry way. The guy who worked on my car wasn't very talkative, but that could be a good thing for some people. They only lose a star because I wish they had synthetic oil (I'm not actually 100% sure they don't have synthetic oil but they did have bottles of oil everywhere and they all seemed to be the same kind. They started working on my car so quickly I didn't have time to ask). read more

I like this place. No funny business. My family and I take our cars here for all our smog stuff. Ruben is a quiet guy and really knows smog repair. It's also cool that he does oil changes so we always nail 2 birds with 1 stone. Funny story... Ruben's dad also works there. You'll always see him w/ a frown on his face and talks even less than Ruben. One day I noticed the dad was doing some practice swings with a golf club, so I tried to start up conversation with him. Oh man, WHAT A COOL GUY I hung out for an hour after my car was done just chatting away. So --- don't let the grouchy looking man scare you.
