While the dreaded Smog Check only comes around every few years here in California it's good that places like this exist. Just honest guys that do an honest job and get you on your way. The whole process took about 30 min and while the guy who set up my car was a little chatty, but I sometimes prefer that when I have some time to kill which I did. He gave me his point of view on Michael Jackson because the place is right down the block from where he is buried. The guy who performed the test was also friendly and got everything done quickly and was on my way. I can't imagine a Smog Check going any better. read more

The prices are very affordable and the service he gives you is great. The owner tried charging me 50 bucks but after I showed him the advertised price as 31 and change he said oh yeah the total is 40. Other than trying to obviously take advantage of me it was done quickly and was reported to the DMV right away. read more

My check engine light was on and they still tested my car and charged me. I was told that I needed a new catalytic converter AND probably a transmission but that they could do the repairs (My car is a 2006 and works fine). Turns out, most scrupulous smog check centers won't even bother testing your car with an engine light on but GLENDALE TEST ONLY had no problem taking my money. I've read about these scams around LA and went here because of the decent Yelp reviews. Now I'm pretty sure they are posting these reviews themselves. RIP OFF. BAH! read more

Tried to shop local and get my 1976 federal truck smogged at a shop near my house. More convenient and support local business. After getting jacked around for 2 hours I left and went to Glendale Test Only. Mike smogged my truck, despite its age and despite it being built to federal spec not Kalifornia spec, in about 30 minutes. This is a guy that knows how to do his job and takes care of his customers. Mike should be up for sainthood. This guy worked tirelessly to get my car smogged. I, like many others, have engine light issues and he managed to get the light off and kept checking my car over the course of two weeks until it was reset. Then he did a retest for me, even though it was more than a month since the original (fail) test. The additional charge for the retest and all his checks? $8.25. And he was always pleasant and nice, even when he was busy. The station is among several little shops on a corner of Glendale and there are usually a lot of cars there, but there is usually little wait. I went here because I got a coupon off the internet, but this exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend. read more
