We stopped into this location after visiting the downtown Phoenix location last night (which was a fantastic 5-star experience all around). The cookies here were hard and tasted like they had been reheated. They were kind of flaky instead of chewy and perfectly crisp on the outside. There was only one person working around 6:30pm on a Wednesday, and it took them awhile to greet us at the register. She wasn't friendly nor did she even smile at any point during our interaction. Being excited to try this ice cream cookie shop and not getting greeted while walking in was very negative! The heavyset woman was very rude. We actually had to greet her and we said thank you each time she handed us ice cream. She did not give a response back. Like oh my goodness we get people go through their own emotions but damn don't work with people if you can't at least smile. read more

My family I wanted this location because we were in the area and wanted a sweet treat after our early Father's Day dinner. We ordered via Uber for the super six where you could choose five classic cookies and one deluxe cookie of your choice and we also ordered the ice cream sundae with the chocolate chunk cookie as well . We just had to wait a few minutes because the deluxe peanut butter chocolate cookie was still cooking and everything was packaged great . My only suggestion is to make sure that there are more chocolate chips inside of the peanut butter and chocolate deluxe cookie. Is located the downtown Tempe area next to a lot of restaurants and you have to do street parking in order to go as right next-door to Starbucks. If you would like to spend the day in the area, you definitely can't do so because there are a lot of restaurants in the area dessert options, coffee, options, and more. The cookies are great tasting but for the price I was expecting more of a fuller cookie. These are very "I made at home" cookies, which isnt necessarily a bad thing but I guess when I normally eat cookies at bakeries they tend to be thicker and bigger to match the price you pay. You cant go wrong with a cookie in general so overall it is a good place to pick up if you have a sweet tooth. This specific location is a bit of a pain to get to given they are right in the center of ASU traffic. There is no personal parking lot so you have to park a little down the street to walk over. The closest parking lot belongs to Chuck Box so you can't park there as they have security monitoring their parking lot for their business. Otherwise service is a quick grab and go style. Nothing special but still a good choice and would come back again. read more

The cookies were fine. We got a box doordashed to us and the flavors were fine! The cookies were mostly flat and chewy. The brookie was awful and that's the one I was most excited for. Walked into the store and the first thing I hear is the employee complaining. Customer wanted to order a dozen cookies which is a reasonable request and employe goes " I only make 16.50 an hour to run the store I'm not gonna do a dozen but you can order a half". Then I order and as I'm ordering 2 people walk in behind me and she goes "what's everyone's problem today" and aggressively tosses my cookie in the box. Super late snack I promise we did not eat all6 cookies. The cookies are good and would definitely come back for another oatmeal cookie. I had high hopes on the oatmeal walnut cookie but it had chocolate chips and it had a lot, but other than that it would had been my favorite. P&J actually is like if you are having a P&J sandwich. Service was good staff in the front desk was nice. The ambiance it's ok good vibes it is small so maybe not a place to go sit and have a cookie there more of a grab and go type of place. Stop by ASU campus for cookies, this place is delicious. Vegan and gluten free options available. Cookies, brownies and ice cream... what more could you want! This place is hands down better than most, I will definitely be back for another round but for the brownies. The oatmeal chocolate walnut was just like something your mom would make, comfort cookie. The birthday cake was super moist and a perfect option if vegan. The salted caramel was perfect, little crisp with the caramel and still a nice soft cookie. The classic m&m was simple and good. Stopped in here the other night to see what is was all about . Was greeted by a warm friendly face I believe her name was Veronica . She was super friendly and helped me decide what I should try since I was so torn by all the choices , which cookie , cookie and ice cream , a cookie ice cream sandwich , decisions decisions !! Veronica made some suggestions and decided to give them a try . She was point on and they didn't disappoint. Place is right off University and Mills so great location close to ASU and near everything . Clean with a cool vibe. Cookies were really good ! Got 4 deluxe and two classic, my favorite deluxe is the salted caramel and my favorite classic is the oatmeal raisin. spot is small, def more for take out than dine in. Employees were nice, parking a little annoying. Got 2 scoops of cookie dough ice cream to eat with the cookies, so delicious ! and Was good but i don't think i'll come back. The staff were so kind and welcoming! The food smelled amazing and also tasted amazing without being a cookie the size of my entire face, haha! The restaurant is truly small and does require extra effort to park. However, they have that late night/cheat meal/ treat yourself vibe going on for sure! 10/10 recommend with those caveats mentioned Again, the stand is small and parking is hard to come by, especially around the main Arizona State University campus. There's not much space to sit/stand in the store. The staff will do their absolute best to accommodate, however, the layout of the store is entirely up to their corporate; therefore? I won't review them on that, rather, the service. The price point can be a little high. However, this is a specialty cookie shop after all. read more

After giving up dairy recently, I learned that Insomnia Cookies(IC) offers Vegan cookies. The anticipation of having something sweet was very high. We walked in and they were pretty slow. We took home a six pack of Vegan cookies. The smell in the store had my mind on overdrive. We get home and open up our box. I take my two cookies and ate them Cookie Monster style! I have to say, they were OK and thought maybe that's what I should expect with Vegan cookies. My daughter told me there are better Vegan cookies out there. Had some Vegan cookies from Whole Foods the next day and finally had a great chocolate chip cookie! I will give IC another shot to see if I caught them on a bad day. read more

Round 2! I opted in again after seeing a pile of collective recommendations on a social media post regarding who has the best cookies aside from the popular pink box. Insomnia was mentioned hands down across the board as everyone's favorite. And, I will say they've improved a bit since the last time I ordered. I went with my favorites & 1 additional new flavor to try. The oatmeal walnut is my #1. This is pretty much one of the only places I can find a good oatmeal cookie that does NOT involve raisins! Nothing against raisins- I just don't prefer them in my cookies as much. Insomnia's is a larger cookie, definitely enough to split between two. Perfectly soft & definitely meets the mark of approval. The chocolate mint chip & white chocolate macadamia are my second favorites. These still do remind me of Subway cookies with their consistency & size, the flavor is also similar. They're very good- I just think the price per cookie is too steep for the smaller variety. It's a treat, but I wouldn't indulge often with how expensive they are. Finally, I tried the confetti cookie. Which is basically a birthday cake batter cookie with candy sprinkles & white chocolate chips. One of the larger options, so it's more expensive. It was good, but just a bit much for my taste. Another one that can be split easily between two. Much happier with this round. The quality has improved & these really are some of the better, simplistic cookies around- plus, there are LOTS of options when it comes to variety. Ice cream, too! I'll likely order again in the future, but as an occasional treat because they're on the steeper side when it comes to cost. read more

Wish I would have rad the reviews before ordering delivery, as my experience matched that of others. Delivery window passed and order still showed in the works. Called the store and finally got an answer, but the person was very unhappy and promised five minutes to get me off the phone. 40 minutes later and was still waiting. When we did get the order, cookies were good. They're not the giant ones which I liked. Will probably give this one another shot, but will only pickup and ensure I have plenty of time read more

I did not get the ladies name but she's dark skinned and I had a craving for vegan cookies, it was finally my day off. I wanted to feel some peace today and I understand there was a line and maybe she had a long night but I asked her sweetly if she had vegan chocolate chip cookies and she snarked at me and said no we have no vegan cookies in the most attitude personality. It was super unprofessional and it makes me not wanna go back to that place when people get sweets in their life they wanna be happy they wanna be fulfilled and that was super unprofessional and for that I give one star. I would rate lower if I could .she could have more emotional control. If you don't like your job, find another one. Don't take it out on other people, that just fathomed me! read more

From outta town.. wanted to satisfy my "sweet-tooth" fix... this is walking distance (to some extent...lol) from the hotel I am staying at. It's small little place that was packed with individuals ... I looked at the website and even at the app that I signed up for .. and was ready to make my order. I'm a sucker for buttercreme, so add fresh cookies and I am there. Both the sugar cookie and buttercreme combination were a "hit" in my book and I will defiantly come here one of there other locations in AZ again! I only gave them 4 stars because when I asked how do I get points since I did download the app, and I have "cookiemagic" offers I was told that they (the store) didn't have the ability to SCAN my bar code? Wait ...what? Why have an app if the store cannot scan so individuals can use deals in the app or even get points on orders? In CA I get cookies from CRUMBLE and you can either order online or you log in with your cell phone to get points... just doesn't make sense to me. What a nice surprise! A delivery guy rang my doorbell around noon on my birthday--thought it was Amazon. He left a "Happy Birthday!" Box from Insomnia Cookies. Inside--warm gooey cookies! Insomnia cookies are good -- a great option for a quick craving in a pinch. Way better when they're warm (which they usually are), but for some reason this time my cookie wasn't. I'm dairy free so I get the vegan, and I love how soft it is and also that it's a smaller cookie than most chains so I feel fine after. This location in particular is always pretty slow and typically has a line, but it's on the ASU Tempe campus so, to be expected especially in the evenings. read more

This location always delivers high quality cookies and great customer service. You can order the cookies on the app or through the phone. While the location is a little small and cramped at times, it's pretty understandable considering it's located on ASU campus. Great place, especially for insomniacs like me. P.S. they have amazing gluten free cookies, I highly recommend it if you are have Celiac disease. read more

Stopped around 11:30 pm on Wednesday and people were still coming and going. The inside is quite small so the line was kinda out the door. The menu is easy to read and they have prices and all the different cookie selections posted. They also sell ice cream sandwiches! My friend ended up getting the combo which included two cookies and a milk for about $6. I wanted a sugar cookie but unfortunately they didn't have any... So I ended up getting an oatmeal raisin. The oatmeal raisin was dry and a little on the harder side... I felt like I was eating a cookie from frys.. They were unfortunately out of a lot of cookies on this night so the selection was limited.. I looked at the ice cream selection they had and I literally LOLed when I saw what kind of vanilla ice cream they had... Umm is that the party ice cream tubs you can buy at the grocery store?.... They have tables you can stand around outside, but the objective inside seems like to get you ice cream and get out; I'm sure it makes sense during busier times. All in all it's good, just not great. I'd come in again and when I do I hope the customer service is better.

Insomnia Cookies is pretty decent, they offer a really good late-night snack option. They have one gluten-free option and it is good. Not the best cookie I have ever had but it makes a yummy ice cream sandwich. For college students in the area, this is probably a great nighttime option, but I would not necessarily recommend that people go out of their way to ASU's campus for these cookies. read more
