Went today for my husbands 76 birthday. We sat on the patio and took 4 friends with us. Our waiter, Leo, was attentive, funny and did everything right. I was excited to have their fish and chips which I had before. This meal has changed!!! We got fish sticks!!! Indigo crow, what! You can do better!!! Everyone else loved their meal, Mac n cheese, chicken but sandwich, burger and beer salad. All loved their meal except the 2 who had fish sticks!! Shame. The patio was gorgeous, the staff, excellent. This restaurant has a special feel as you enter the patio from parking lot in back. The low building must have been someone's home - it still retains a slightly rustic, inviting and intimate feeling. The menu is not huge, but seems to have a salads, entrees or beverages to satisfy most any taste or dietary requirement. The service is friendly and professional. The food very good. Our waiter was amazing and explained each of the specials, answered all our questions and provided suggestions to kick our night up a notch. We started with the scallops and they melted in your mouth like butter. Left me wanting more. I had the Surf and Turf. The filet mignon had a green chile sauce that was the perfect combination of sweet and heat. The steak and lobster was perfectly cooked steak. My husband enjoyed his lobster ravioli. Went here for my birthday dinner and didn't disappoint. The dishes are great from the appetizers to desserts. We got the mussels and bread for the appetizers and it a good start. My husband ordered the lamb and it was tender, the mashed potatoes are the best ones in town. My pasta was a bit bland and learn that the recipe was adjusted. We were given the bread pudding as dessert as free item since we didn't enjoy the pasta that much. The pudding was so moist and delicious and the glaze wasn't too sweet. Great place! I have been a few times for lunch. The Catalina salad is amazing. Awesome fish and chips. Love that you can order half fries and half onion rings. We finally ate here after wanting to try it for a while. It's definitely on the pricier side, so while I do want to go back to try brunch, we'll be waiting for a bit. It's small and fills up quickly, so a reservation is definitely needed. I had initially made mine for outdoor dining but the weather wasn't cooperating and called a few days before to ask if we could sit inside instead. Points for being accommodating when Open Table didn't have anything available! I don't normally mind small restaurants, but my issue with this one, which I guess was the layout, was that our table was right next to the bar so if there's a loud group there (which there was), it's not as pleasant and difficult to hear who you're sitting with. There was a large party waiting to be seated, and they were basically in our faces because they were crowding the bar (and one guest had the door propped open letting the cold air in). As far as the interior goes, it's pretty dim and cozy, but everything's painted. I think it'd look much better if they had some natural brick and wood showing. The food was good. We got the bread, which had really good seasoning and isn't too pungent for sourdough. I ordered the salmon, which was good but I kind of wish I had gotten something else (wild rice isn't really my jam and the baby bok choy was slightly bitter). I do wish the shrimp and grits was a main instead of an appetizer- that's what I really wanted. My husband got the filet, medium rare, which had parts of it that were more rare, but he said the asparagus was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were good. Definitely save room for dessert! The raspberry cheesecake is decadent. I'd honestly go back just for an appetizer (read: to get the shrimp and grits) and dessert. All in all, I want to go back for brunch, but due to the cost, which I haven't decided on whether it's worth that much or not, I'll be waiting a while. read more

Unorganized, and really disinterested in pleasing the customers, they are just there for a buck. Went there for Easter Brunch, and they had a set menu, which was fine... it was almost $50.00 a person and did not include drinks. At that point, we decided it's Easter and a set menu is not so bad. Well it was, drinks were not proportional.. and the more people came in and ordered the mimosas, the smaller and smaller they came from the bar. We started with the salad and shrimp Bisque with "Creme Fraiche" the "Preset" salad was half the size from the person seating next to us that arrived a few minutes earlier than us. The Bisque with the "Creme Fraiche" was either missing the creme Fraiche part, or they might have added a 8oz container to an entire pot, making it not only a very thin based "Bisque", it was less then luke warm, absolutely gross. Tasted like potato water with salt and pepper and shredded shrimp on top... When I took a peak under the hot plate, they had bowls and bowls of the so called bisque waiting to be served. I understand that NM is hot, however if you are serving a bisque or soup it must be hot ... then serve it hot, not barely Luke warm. Our entree the "prime rib", we asked for medium, came in luke warm again but rare, when we complained our waiter told us the chef decided to undercook it because he was getting too many complains about being over done, not only that they just slapped the meat on top of the " roasted vegetables" and mash potatoes making the mash potatoes bloody pink and the veggies soggy... The dessert they had was a carrot cake. Absolutely dry and of course 2/3 less than what the next person had.... The guest next to us, looked at our cake and said " well don't you fell cheated" Lastly my coffee.... Took forever to bring it over and then Luke warm Our waiter was taking his sweet time taking the dirty dishes out of the way, the dishes we stacked and placed it nicely so we could have room for the next course, since our table was small. Nope he brought the next course and left empty handed as he needed to continue his chatting at the hot plate table, that kept the food not hot. Not one explanation from staff, kitchen or nothing... we felt we just got the leftovers at full price. When we were walking out, they were still taking guests .... I wonder if they for to lick the plate with carrot cake crumbs with a pretty design, we got one couple to turn around... I normally don't write negative reviews and give the place 3 chances... this place is not worth a second chance, myself and my husband were sick with stomach issues right after our meal and the next day. $150 dollars per person for a meal that was bland, either came to the table still raw or cold, and on portions so small even the 80 year old who bately eats as still hungry. Every course but the appetizer showed up incorrectly made for at least four of our party. the main course had three plates that were sent back to the kitchen. The steak was still raw or showed up cold. the vegetables included 1 piece of broccoli, 1 piece of asparagus, and 2-3 half slices of squash. All tasted like they came from a can. the fish (halibut) was almost jerky in its dryness. the desert, a chocolate cake that came from a Kroger grocery store clearance shelf. it was dry, if you got a midd price and rock hard crumbs if you got an outer piece. The key lime pie also clearly came from a pre packaged cheap bakery as it had several pieces of plastic in it. but the mashed potatoes were good, rather the half of one potato mashed to be precise. Also, the wine was good. the kitchen staff, clearly visible from the dining area, were slovenly dressed and not conforming with New Mexico kitchen health practice in several areas. so if you are concerned about your health, beware. read more

We came to Indigo Crow for their Sunday Brunch. To accommodate guests on their patio they have extended their patio which is nice since outside dining has become a necessity during COVID. Our waitress was very nice and brought us waters right away before taking our drink order. Since it was chilly outside I got a coffee, for my meal I ordered the eggs Benny. Had brunch the other day and it was so tasty and reasonable. I had the eggs benny. I loved the fact that is was on crostini and the hollandais was silky and a bit citrusy. Ruined dining experience: It was finally Friday and we were enjoying a wonderful dinner with great company. Our server had just asked us if we wanted to order a second round of drinks and brought us the drink menu to peruse. One person in our party placed her order and the others were deciding. Immediately after the one drink arrived, and as I had my fork in my mouth enjoying my dinner, the manager (Akira) came over to tell us that we had to leave because they had another reservation for our table. Shocked and confused as we were just offered another round and had not even gotten to dessert yet, we asked if we could be moved to the bar area as were not finished our meal. One person in our party left. We were told there was a table for two in the bar area and we could pull up a chair for the third person. We then walked through the restaurant carrying our plates and beverages to the bar area. We sat down in the bar area. No one greeted us. After some time we flagged down a server to ask for some water and a menu. Akira brought us the drink menu and condescendingly proceeded to tell us that she could allow us to read the menu but she could not serve us. What? We asked why. She said something about not being able to let us leave if we had too much to drink. Huh? At this point we all felt completely shocked, confused and insulted. We explained to her that we had each had ONE drink at our previous table. She clearly wanted us to leave. She walks away. After we take some deep breaths to attempt to salvage the evening we begin to look at the menu again. She then comes back and informs us she has another reservation for our table in the bar area and tells us of the time of the reservation. We check the time and the next reservation is not for 45 minutes. She was obviously trying to change her tactic to get us to leave. We couldn't believe it. At this point, Akira has completely ruined our night and made us feel insulted and unwelcome. This was the worst treatment we've ever received. It completely ruined our Friday night. No matter how busy the restaurant, managers should always treat guests with respect. Thankfully, there are plenty of other restaurants with delicious food and a great ambiance who, most importantly, appreciate their customers' business and treat them with respect. Because of Akira, we certainly won't be back to this one. read more

My wife and I went for a Friday lunch. It's a beautiful location and the atmosphere was amazing. We had a lunch reservation but it was unnecessary as we were the second table of the day. My wife ordered the roast beef sandwich and onion rings while I chose the brisket sandwich with fries. Her sandwich was okay, the onion rings were good. My fries were okay but the sandwich was not. It was a chopped brisket swimming in a far too sweet BBQ sauce. Topped with a pair of commodity sandwich pickles and yellow mustard on a decent bun. At $15 for the sandwich, I'm not too disappointed as it's a slight step above the McRib at about the same price for the meal. The sauce was supposed to be a green chile BBQ but I think it was sweet Bubba rays. I think my expectations were too high but I can't imagine anyone enjoying that sandwich. I highly recommend the restaurant for ambiance but suggest avoiding the brisket sandwich. read more

We've been looking for a place to call our own since moving to ABQ almost two years ago. Someplace that makes you feel welcome the first time you enter and then leaves you anticipating your next visit. Indigo Crow did that for my wife and me on our first visit. The wait staff was warm and welcoming, the wine list was varied and, after a recommended tasting, many will be added to my cellar. The food was far from typical but not intimidating. New Mexican flavors found deep in eclectic offerings. After our meal we asked if we could sit under the heaters on the patio as a party of 8 arrived and the volume was distracting. We were graciously accommodated and given a glass of Pinot Noir to sample as we relaxed. It was a relaxing evening and an excellent way to celebrate our 35th anniversary. The only issue was that night there was a HUGE group of people at a table and it was incredibly noisy as it seemed like they were trying to talk over each other and all at once. Our waiter offered to reseat us somewhere inside but that table was already taken. We couldn't sit outside because the mosquitoes love me. Sadly we saw one couple get seated inside, experience how noisy the table was, and leave. It was a bit disappointing we couldn't have a romantic dinner because we would have had to yell at each other to be heard but the food was SO great and our waiter was great. I would really like to REALLY like Indigo Crow, however they never quite seem to break into the 5- star range. There are huge points in their favor like local ownership and sourcing. I've not had anything yet that didn't taste super fresh and meet a solid standard in the preparation, flavor, and presentation. Alas, no matter where I sit in the dining room or outside on the patio, I seem to get stuck in a drafty spot. Let me tell you how difficult it is to enjoy a grilled portobello sandwich, no matter how perfectly grilled, when my teeth are chattering. Maybe I'll wait for mid-summer for the next visit so it might be warm enough that I can actually try one of the varieties of salad on the menu. Raz's seared tuna over mixed greens looked wonderful, but I couldn't put down my sandwich long enough to try a bite since it was the only thing keeping my hands warm enough to be useful. read more

It tasted funky, but I thought that at this price there's no way it'd be off...bad mistake. Nice patio, but I don't need to hear Taylor Swift-type music during what is priced at fine dining levels...people should be allowed to eat in quiet, something that American don't quite seem to get. In any case, this place. Even if the ingredients were more fresh, they also need to dial it back on the oil, the gross amount of sugar in the Marsala sauce, the burned vegetables, etc., particularly at this price point. This place has apparently been here for more than a decade. Like everything in Corrales it's become overpriced and pretentious. There are at least a few other far superior restaurants in ABQ that are way better. read more
