Considering the day before was New Year's Eve and I probably should've took a break from drinking, I said say screw it and got something light. It was a blood orange cider, and it was delicious, I was not expecting it to taste like that! Unable to make our minds up, we decided to split a salad and pizza. For the salad I wanted to get the Valley grande, but we compromised and got the brazos which was essentially a Caesar salad. That's how it was huge. We had enough to share and more, it was also tasty, the dressing. You could tell was definitely house made. For the pizza we decided to get a split half truchas and half chimayo (my half) and it was amazing the flavor was great and the topping fresh. Although next time I will ask for well done. On to dessert. The best thing we ordered all night was the Apple calzone. It seemed to be the size of a little football and came with two scoops of ice cream. I could tell it was made to order and it was absolutely delicious! We cannot wait to go back.

You can typically order a burger with all the fixings and fries for that price or less. Our service was fair. Our server was nice enough and checked in on us. But the food was very underwhelming. I wouldn't recommend them, but you could may have a better experience than me. Just don't order the sliders! Then, to top it off, after ordering dessert, we are chit chatting and finishing our drinks. We slowly start to notice that the servers were grabbing their purses and heading to the front. Apparently they had been closed for almost 30 minutes but no one came to inform us that they were closed for the night! LOL! Silly place.

I tried this truck for the first time today, and my doors are blown off and my socks have been knocked off! Anyway, I ordered 'The Duke' special, which is a lot of stuff I like: beef, hotlinks, caramelized onions, cheese, and green chile on a hoagie roll. She took my money, and I waited, thinking this was probably a mistake. I hadn't heard much about the place, but it seemed like with all those components, some of the weaker ones would bring down the entire sandwich. Boy was I wrong. The beef was beautifully cooked, with just a bit of pink showing, the hotlinks were smokey and delicious, the onions were soft and plentiful, the green chile had heat, and the cheese tied it all together into a beautiful gooey mess on a soft and inviting roll. I needed the extra fork she provided, as I 'got nasty' with it, caring less and less about what proper eating etiquette is, and more and more about getting it into my mouth as soon as possible. I'm not going to lie to you - this is not health food. Not even close. In fact, there really isn't anything I'd consider 'healthy' on the entire menu. If you're looking for something green, you've come to the wrong place. This food truck's menu is a carnivore's paradise, and it's going to cause long-term problems, but you know what? But they did not redeem the meal. Nevertheless, the combo was quite filling. Overall, the food never met the smell that attracted us to this truck or the high cost, leaving us with a full belly but no flavor to speak of.
