I checked out the Brunch at Indaco for the first time. The menu had a wide selection of food to choose from: breakfast pizza, to pasta, to steak and eggs, to waffles. We didn't order drinks but sat at the bar and all the drinks being made looked divine. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time because we went right when they opened at 10 am and couldn't get a table! The meatball sandwich was served on focaccia which was so delicious, but super messy BEWARE! We also ordered the tomato and egg dish which was basically Shaksuka. It was nothing to write home about but I do like that it was included on the menu. Their warm marinated olives are a must order that I get every time I go because they are tossed in a savory pesto sauce and the olives are so nicely warmed. Even someone that doesn't like olives could enjoy these! A friend in the kitchen sent us out the bananas foster waffles which surprised me; they had crispy, maple bacon bits sprinkled on top of them. This gave such a nice combination of sweet and savory, which is my kryptonite. Everything was good. I'm glad I tried brunch here, but don't know if it's something I would return to more than a couple times a year. read more

The upscale version of Italian, this place is great to impress a client or a date. We got sat later in the night and closed out the place. Our waitress was an angel but drink service was slow probably due to the time. Beware their espresso martini has hazelnut syrup if you have any allergy people with you. Food that was worth it: the focaccia, the little gem salad, and the tagaletti (or whatever comes with spec). The pasta with the shrimp and the squid ink pasta was ok but was salty (and i don't think they advertised the fact it was squid ink pasta). Espresso martinis were too bitter for my liking. read more

I was surprised by how big the restaurant is inside - it goes back a long way, and also by its modern industrial-chic decor which I was not expecting. It's a little dark and a little loud, but it has a fun vibe and would be great for any type of occasion from a large group get-together to a cozy date night. The service is good, our server was attentive and efficient. The food was also very good. Portions are on the generous side. We shared various dishes and had a prosciutto board, meatballs, a Caesar-type salad and a pizza. Everything tasted very good, it's a modern spin on Italian food, and honestly we could have just ordered 3 dishes between the two of us due to the generous portions. The drinks menu is good and the prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I like how versatile the menu is, you can share dishes, just have a pizza or pasta, or eat more formally with meat or fish based entrees. As the cherry on top we dined late on a Saturday and had a window seat that gave us a good view of the Saturday night King Street shenanigans! We'll definitely be back! read more

Excellent service, excellent food! This restaurant was one of the few that is able to handle a large reservation (for us 13 people). We were split into two tables and had to order family style (meaning they serve a variety of dishes, you are able to tell your waiter if you have any specific requests though). The food was so amazing, for the first course they gave my table of 6 two pizzas, meatballs and a caesar salad. The second course they served a roasted chicken with gnocchi and asparagus. It came with 2 pastas (a red sauce and a carbonara) as well as brussel sprouts. The dessert was a tiramisu. The caesar salad was SO good, it was well dressed and had the right amount of parm! A person in our group has a celiac allergy and the staff here were so so accommodating. It was impressive how knowledgable they were in ensuring there was no cross contamination (asking questions such as if it was ok to fire the gluten free pizza in the same oven as the others). They were able to create gluten free versions of the pizza, pasta, and dessert. In addition in each course they clearly communicated which dishes were specially made as well as which of the normal dishes were safe as well. Overall super impressed! read more

For appetizers my boyfriend and I chose the burrata and sausage pizza. The burrata was delicious and I loved the apple pieces. The sausage pizza was fantastic. The fresh mozzarella on top made it so much tastier! For our main course we ordered the tagliatelle and the truffle spaghetti. Omg! The truffle spaghetti sent my body into a state a food drunkness. My whole body was tingling! And the shaved truffles on top: decadent!It was amazing! The tagliatelle was delicious too. I loved how the egg yolk added a richness to the dish. For dessert we were stuffed but powered through to try the tiramisu and the butterscotch budino. The tiramisu was light and fluffy with rich coffee flavor. Came here with a small party to kick off our weekend in CHS. My friend had highly recommended it, and they didn't disappoint. I had mentioned in my reservation that it was a birthday, and a few days before we came, the restaurant called to ask whose birthday it was and if we had any special dessert requests. The corn pizza is a must order - It has pesto, pistachios and a smoked cheese, we loved it - that little pop of corn in every bite - corn should be a normalized pizza topping option. The crust was perfection a bit charred and crispy-chewy. The cesar salad was covered in a snowstorm of Parm. Once I "chopped" it - the large-looking portion disappeared, but no worries - we had plenty of carbs coming right behind it. Another stop on our mini vacation in Charleston! This spot was recommended by a friend and I am so glad we were able to come for dinner. We made a reservation ahead of time and I was really looking forward to enjoying the atmosphere inside but sadly we would have had to wait for our table so we went on the patio.
