Coffee is outstanding. The ladies behind the counter are genuine and friendly. Service is quick and the setting is conducive to people watching. Also, I should say the coffee shop is inside a high-end running shoe store. This is seemingly weird and random, yet does make some sense the more I think on it. First, if you've got $315 to drop on footwear to shave a few minutes off your precious marathon time, you've also got $8 for a 16oz. Mocha with an extra shot of espresso. Also, runners are notoriously concerned about the state of their bowels. As a mostly sedentary humanoid Walrus, I didn't learn this until recently, but I assure you it's a real thing that runners hit a point in endurance runs where, in a holy jolt of panic, their bowels feel the need to evacuate. Immediately. Couple this with a desperate concern for keeping pace, and a lack of port-a-potties along every inch of any given route, and you can see the implications of this dilemma. So. Anyway. Some coffee before the race. Drop a few ounces. Avoid having to squat behind a dumpster. Win-Win. read more

I have loved Indaba for quite some time but their new (ish) location on Riverside has my heart! It's so convenient to just stop by anytime I'm downtown and their huge, modern space is so aesthetically pleasing. I love that they have hemp milk and change up their drink menu seasonally so I can try something new every so often. I got a matcha latte and sat in the back on the high tables. The latte was delicious. The shop is right next to the riverfront park which is nice, and it's very spacious inside but with limited seating. The staff wasn't the friendliest. read more

When you have local coffee shops that are taking advantage of something as simple as pairing it with toast, but actually putting a chef behind it - it is a game changer that is FOR SURE. Indaba just keeps growing, and growing, and now they have toast so I am obsessed. I love love these local coffee shops going above and beyond just for EXPERIENCE. I will take an afternoon with my macbook at Indaba any day because the atmosphere just speaks to me. The coffee is hand crafted to perfection every single time. The honey lattee and the chai are my favorites. But the toast. The toast is just delicious. The chef created some masterpieces in the toast department and I have no complaints whatsoever. Avocado, chili flakes, radish, bacon and a sunny side up egg....as I write this I am hungry for some of that damn good toast. I will be back for life, promise. read more

Stopped in for tea/coffee and was sad to see that they no longer offer toasts. Instead picked up a scone from 'Made with Love Bakery'. I tried cranberry orange and my coworker tried blueberry lemon. Very disappointed in the very dry scone that seemed like they may have been old/stale. They were excruciatingly dry but seemed like they would have been good when fresh. My tea was Smith Teamaker and was a good black tea. I had to request cream twice though, which is unusual as the tea was simply a teabag and cream- seems like that should have been easy to get it right. read more

Yummy is the word! We got the avocado toast with egg and banana toast both of which were amazingly delicious. The coffees were great too! I won't recommend the chai tea latte especially if you're indian and are expecting it to be anywhere close to masala chai- it's not. Other than that, everything was great! A classy little place. Nice atmosphere and good quality food and coffee. My wife was pretty happy with her drink and her standard avocado toast. It was a nice change of pace for all my years of mediocre experiences in downtown Spokane. Covid rules were follow well by the workers if not by all the customers on this trip. We made 3 more visits before we left town and when I get back to traveling for work this will be my coffee stop. read more

I ordered a chai latte and the sun butter toast and was happily asked by the workers if I would like a vegan or vegetarian substitute. Coffee is great. Not enough like snack options. Everything is gluten free sugar free. But butterscotch is a forever favorite.

Indaba Coffee serves amazing coffee and has created a welcoming space for everyone. They roast their own coffee out of their Nettleton location so everything is fresh and flavorful. I like their High Drive espresso blend, which is on bar at each of their locations. They also have some interesting single origins. Drink wise, I always go for their Butterscotch latte. I'm hooked, it's not overly sweet but the caramel butteryness mixes well with their espresso. Also their cold brew growler is a great deal! The concentrate is no joke and lasts this caffeine addict a few days at least. Chocolatey and smooth. So good. read more
