I went here in March- it is now July and I think about this place at least 3 times a week…read more Genuinely some of the best food I have ever had- need to go back to Chicago just for this place.

Expensive considering the portions but yummy food! Got the dinner for 2 and minced beef noodles…read more The best part were the dumplings. I could taste that they were handmade and very flavorful. Second was the charcoal half chicken. The coconut rice was had a light coconut flavor which was good bc it didnt alter the taste of the chicken. I'd skip on the salad and minced beef noodles next time. The noodles were a lil too thick n chewy for me. Salad was nothings special, just eating large chunks of cabbage. The Sparrow Mallorc was also really good and refreshing, not overly sweet. The egg tarts had a creamy delicious custard and the dough was fluffy like a croissant, not crisp like pie. I prefer crisp but would still recommend. I also got the chai carrot cake which is really good. The chai spice compliments the sweetness well and walnut chunks add nice texture . I want to try all their desserts at Bird Bird Bakery bc the flavors are so unique and actually really good, unlike other bakeries that try to use interesting flavors but make it overly sweet. The staff were chill and kind. Pretty laid back, you have to get your own utensils and water. I do love that they have their own hot sauces. The brown one with tamarind was my favorite. Nice decos, not overly showy or fancy. Still family friendly n chill. The bench had nice comfy cushions.

for all the attention & awards, I thought daisies would be so much more expensive than it was…read more - the establishment is very farm to table energy but with Michelin recognition. our waiter was incredibly laid back and advised us on the specials based on fresh produce - for a starter we went with the onion dip because how can they really make that classy? ill tell you how: homemade chips that dont taste like dirt or burnt kettle crisps. thick cut yet still snappy and crispy wavy chips with enough oil to crisp apart on your tongue. I am a salt girl but even without clear shards fo salt on each chip these were the perfect amount. the dip was cool and creamy, more of a tzhaiki like coolness than a zingy guilt ridden onion dip - I tried the Agnolotti purely to eat purple pasta. the inside was filled with beet puree and ricotta making the dish hearty and filling. it was slightly earthy as the beet flavor powered through more than just the light sweet sauce. the roe on top miraculously made the dish slightly fishy everywhere to the degree where I asked the waiter if there was fish inside the pasta.....I loved it - the Cappellacci was a flavor rollercoaster. right away you taste the sweet summer squash, a warm and comforting taste. as you swallow your throat is punched with a chili kick. all on top of cloud like pasta pieces - the Pappardelle was about the pasta, the al dente thick cuts showcased the housemate pasta. maintaining an al dente doughy goodness with the quality of the ingredients keeping the pasta fresh and far from what comes in a box.

This had me feeling like a kid on a milk carton because I've been missing out! The service was exquisite. We were greeted and wished a happy anniversary upon checking in. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us understand what we might like based on our preferences. This spot had more seating than I anticipated and there are tables that can accommodate large groups. The aesthetic was giving industrial whimsical bookstore. They also had the jams pumping but not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Now for the food: - Homemade ruffles and sour cream and onion dip: This was a must get in my opinion. - Simple green salad: I feel like I can trust that Daisies doesn't source their produce from Taylor Farms, so we felt safe ordering. Man oh man I didn't know how much I needed this in my life. The dressing and the cheese were unmatched. - Mushroom Tagliatelle: Thebomb.com. You can taste the freshness in the pasta and the ragu was so savory yet not too heavy. - Summer seasonal pasta with sweet corn, jalepenos and cheese. The pasta was stuffed and had a delectable cream sauce. It was simply perfection. -1/2 chicken: Simply put this may be the best damn chicken I've ever had in my life. To think we were almost going to skip a protein and get another pasta but this was so good. I don't think words can do it justice. We had to get dessert because we knew that their pastries get a lot of praise throughout the city and beyond. We ordered the sourdough waffle topped with peaches and pecans. In the word of Foxcito.....FathaGawd!!!! Like Steph Curry...just don't miss We will definitely be back there are so many things we want to try.

The breakfast burrito is 100% worth the hype. Such buttery fluffy soft eggs w a ton of cheese & the most flavorful sauces (my personal fave was the red sauce)! This thing is massive - I had half and saved the other half for later. The pastries were 10/10 no notes. Very fresh, perfect textures, not overly sweet. The tineka was a flavor bomb! The bread was phenomenal. There's some type of sweet n slightly spicy chutney(?) that really gave it a pop of flavor. The slaw that comes w it was amazing as well. The carrot cake was so moist, perfectly spiced, and the right amount of sweet. Critique: while the baked French feta was good, I think this is the most overpriced dish for what is essentially a small block of feta with some sourdough and a couple pieces of olives and cucumbers. Also, the sourdough was kinda too hard and crunchy for my liking. This is the only dish I don't recommend.

I thought this was to die for - the pasta Yai Yai is a speciality here, and the ingredient list (brown butter, feta, and cinnamon) was intriguing. the pasta was perfectly al dente, long and thick pieces of bucatini. my dining companion loved this dish and was shocked how well the ingredients went together. I thought it was tasty but I could not get a real blend of the flavors, more just tasted "ok cinnamon" and "ok feta" separately, not much of a blend. - the Bavette steak could have been cut with a spoon. the most tender cut of beef in a sweet and sour balsamic sauce. the vegetables, cauliflower and broccoli, were cooked in different seasoning than the steak, providing for more complexity. the slivers of grapes brought out the sweetness of the balsamic.

Their menu doesn't have anything marked but the server was very knowledgeable. He went through the entire menu and indicated what could be made GF. They do not have GF pasta or bread but they do have a few options for GF crackers. We ordered the crunch party, cheese board with GF crackers, brussels sprouts, and rosemary potato rosti to share. The server made sure to modify everything to be GF and had the potatoes cooked in a separate pan to avoid cross contamination. We also had the GF almond cake. When the staff brought the food, they even acknowledged it was GF before serving. The food and service were fantastic! Really appreciate how knowledgeable and accommodating the staff was. Highly recommend!

Very cozy place with a nice vibe to catch up with friends or if you want a simple, but tasty brunch. We ordered the daily cheese board with two meats, and the beef brisket deep sandwich. Honestly I was not impressed by the board, but the meats were really good. The baguette was 10/10 even the salad that comes with it was great. The main reason for the 4 stars is the $20 cork fee. I was shocked and disappointed since the main reason I picked that place was to have a bottle of wine. Most of them were $30, 35, $40 plus $20 cork fee which is incomprehensible to me, considering I'm buying the bottle from the establishment and also consuming it there plus the food I'm getting. Service was great and I appreciate that the server let us know that the gratuity was included.

It was basic breakfast sandwich Eggs Choice of meat (sausage, turkey sausage, bacon) Cheese Hashbrowns were on offer but were NOT ready with the other items and took forever to cook, so nobody got any. What I saw coming out was underdone and burnt. What was coming out was mediocre, undercooked and not worth waiting 30-40 minutes in the hot sun. The truck itself was...a mess. Old, didn't look super clean and everything seemed to be running on a single burner camper type stove. The big negative was the service. The truck was well over two hours late, wasn't ready when they arrived and over the course of an hour and a half, they must have taken 3 smoke breaks. Look, it's hot out so it's gotta be a literal oven in that little truck. But with a three person crew, maybe take breaks in stages so the line keeps moving. Food itself was nothing special. All of it was stuff from Costco (Idahoan hash browns, frozen sausage patties, liquid egg, etc.) heated up so I'm not sure what the slow in service was but I wouldn't recommend them again.

We also had the catfish sandwich which was delicious too. I can't wait to come back and try something new, if I can get away from the hot chicken! I'm so happy to have found a place with gluten free options like hot chicken and fried fish. It's been years since I've been able to order that kind of stuff.
