Something happened between photos of sizable round bowls overflowing with gorgeous salads and the tiny lunchables-size box of boring salad bits and chicken sold as "Mezza Crunch." Nothing was crunchy or made me feel the price was worth the nearly $15 I paid. The word mezza does mean small bites, but this is ridiculous. I'm looking around at other diners and what they're eating, and yeah...I got fooled big time. They need photos by each meal so I can decide just how tragic their little salads are for the amount of money they want for each. Nice clean place, though. read more

Went back today to give them another shot and I gotta give it up to the management in this place. It was a completely different experience than my first visit. The tofu was on point and while the workers were really busy, they were very friendly this time. I will support a business that takes feedback and implements changes. I'm impressed! Was really excited to see a healthy option open in the neighborhood. I really wanted to like this place but have unfortunately not had good experiences. It seems like they have issues with quality control and inventory management. First, I placed an order with them through the Too Good to Go app. When I picked it up, they seemed confused and told me my order was cancelled and that they'd just thrown out all their food. I told them I hadn't received a cancellation notice and had already been charged through the app, so they finally agreed to make something. But then they told me they didn't have any protein left and only had salad bases left. I didn't think that was a good value, so I told them to forget about the order. A few days later, I was once again craving something healthy, so I figured I'd give them one more chance and actually try paying full price to get exactly what I wanted. I ordered the Pick 2 combo with the Tokyo supergreens tofu salad and a pumpkin bisque soup. When I picked up my order, they once again told me that they were out of soup, and offered me chips and a drink instead. I was really looking forward to soup, so I was disappointed, but ok. Then, when I got home and opened up my salad, I realized that they didn't include the dressing, which I'd asked for on the side (and I paid for extra dressing, on top of that). The tofu was really dry, rock hard, and some pieces were inedible, and the chips were really old and stale. Such a disappointing experience! How can you forget to include dressing when the name of your restaurant is Just Salads? Dressing is a pretty key part of the salad experience. I'm also now questioning whether they really did throw out all the food when I tried to pick up my Too Good to Go order. Based on that tofu quality, they're not regularly tossing ingredients when they need to. Will definitely be going elsewhere for salads from now on. read more

I walked in in a hurry and Mecca was so kind and patient - she helped me sus out the new menu very thoughtfully and methodically and then kept me present while I was very involved with my work emails. She was so nice and sweet the entire time. Then when I got to check out, Zion was the same way. Super helpful, kind, patient with me (I was definitely the problem and super in my phone like I said, holding up the line) and helped get me on my way. Will definitely be back! This restaurant on Clark is having a major staffing issue. You have two women making salads that are doing the best they can then you have an owner or manager running around. None of these three people are acknowledging any of the drivers Uber, GrubHub, Doordash for pickup orders. You have at least four orders that are bagged and tagged sitting there ready to go... But again, you're not acknowledging any of the drivers waiting for orders even just to say your order is not ready it's going to be another 5 or 10 minutes. This is unacceptable. It was about 7:00 when I went in to pick up they had at least 20 order tickets still hanging off the machine not even started yet. Not to mention the six tickets laying on the counter that we're not completed yet. This location is grossly understaffed during prime dinner hours. I'm imagining lots of the orders here were canceled this evening, or people waited upwards of an hour and a half or longer for their orders Train and hire more staff! Also, acknowledge your drivers that are working hard and standing there to deliver your product. At least communicate that you have the order we're looking for and that it's going to be however long it's going to be. read more

Franciny and Bibiana are superheroes!! It was going to my first time trying Just Salad and then when riding my bike back, the bag hit the back tire and these beautiful looking salads spilled all over the street -- my night would've been in shambles (like the aforementioned salads) if it wasn't for Franciny and Bibiana who stepped up AFTER HOURS to make two more salads in order to save the day. Just tried this place today and will be coming back again for the 9.99 chicken tzatziki bowl. Very good, relatively healthy, and affordable. Can't beat it for the area. I do question whether there was actually only 510 calories in the bowl tho, since it was so filling and delicious. Miles better than sweet green on the wallet and even taste wise. read more
