    Aji de Gallina
    Catherine N.

The Aji de Gallina made for a great lunch! The chicken was tender and not at all dry. The aji sauce was creamy went perfectly with the steamed rice. I would lick this plate clean - it was so good! Pro-tip: If you don't want fries, the server recommended subbing with steamed veggies for the lomo saltado! It would be a great high protein option. The staff were friendly and gave corn nuts as a snack before our meal was served. They also have banana leaf wrapped tamales that I would be eager to come back and try. This makes for an excellent lunch spot!

I was really hoping this was going to be a wonderful place due to the proximity to my house unfortunately it wasn't. I ordered Ají de Gallina. The Ají de Gallina was not good at all, the chicken was chopped in very small pieces and it didn't have a good flavor. I won't go back! The lady who served us was really nice so this review is strictly for the food.

We enjoyed an excellent meal. Both of our dishes came out piping hot. My husband's fish was light and crispy. My chow mein was very flavorful and the portion was large. I brought home leftovers.

Truly authentic Peruvian food. Delicious and an absolute must-try! We will be back to try the rest of the menu over the coming weeks.

Interesting experience. Don't know if I'll be back to this particular Peruvian restaurant as I have yet to try the many others. I'm definitely impressed by their offerings and service. I was particularly interested in their ceviche and it did not disappoint.

Drink menu. The Maracumango was excellent

Learned this place recently opened so we went to give it a try and we were quite happy with the food. It's attached to a small little gift shop and grocery store. Everything on the menu was available to buy, spice wise it seems, at the store next door. They have a menu but also a QR code to their online menu with photos. They also have a QR code to pay through your phone and use Apple Pay to make it easy. We really enjoyed their food and will be back to try other things on the menu.

I don't remember the name of the dish.

Minutes after eating my food I went straight to the bathroom with a loose stomach. Maybe the chicken wasn't cooked all the way. Be careful and check your food.

My husband & i were getting our flat tire fixed & came across this super cute store where they sell peruvian ingredients on the other side connecting, is their cafe! My husband had the Lomo saltado-beef & it was delicious.! Very clean and great ambiance! The owner was present greeting everyone which was amazing to see! The chef in the kitchen is Peruvian also.! We had an amazing time here and we are so blessed to have come across this place! It is a must try!

We ordered the Lomo Saltado plate, which came topped with egg and avocado, and it was incredible. The beef was tender, the flavors were rich and savory, and everything blended together perfectly. Smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Warning, the habanero sauce is hella spicy. I couldn't stop sweeting (Just stick to the jalapeño sauce that they give you. My dad also liked the bathroom he said the employees must wash hands sign was very big and he appreciated it. He then proceeded to tell 2 jokes involving those signs and my sister told a story as well. My mom replaced a toilet roll in the bathroom also. (Important information she told me) Overall very cool very nice. Also my mom had a Peruvian beer which she said was good and my sister a pineapple lemonade which I tasted and can confirm is good if you happen to like sweet fruit tasting drinks. Epic times B)

There was no lobby to really just browse the menu before diving in. The front is trying to sell you things, and there was a greeter pushing menus at us. It was very overwhelming. I ordered a BBQ chicken burger, and that was really tasty. I've never had a chicken patty like this before, and it wasn't dry like I thought it might be. They didn't have a good drink selection at all. It was fancy juices and a small glass bottle of Diet Coke. I would've preferred a big glass of ice water or a fountain Coke Zero. Let's talk about the seating and order pickup. We had to sit inside in an alcove. We had a big group of 6 people, and it was right next to the kitchen. There wasn't much room there. On each table is a QR code to either order or just to claim your table for your order. It's not obvious how to do this. If you forget to connect your table to your order, you will miss your order, and it happened to one of us. Food was good, and people enjoyed it. There is just too much tech to have lunch. It's located in the small to medium size outside shopping plaza in Downtown Agoura and right next to the elementary school and high-school. The same owner has been serving customers for years and is always a delight to talk to. My boyfriend and I came here the other day to grab lunch to-go and bring it to the beach to eat. We ordered and it didn't take too long to get our food, as I also peeked next door at the consignment store. They did pack it a little different than I thought they would, putting both sandwiches that we ordered into one aluminum tray with the fries on top, but that's alright. That being said, we ordered two sandwiches, some fries, and drinks (they have cold or room temperature). The chicken burrata with pesto is always my go-to and is so good! It has a classic taste that never gets old, and the flavors in the ingredients all mesh well together. My boyfriend got the Prosciutto Panini and he said he really enjoyed that one, too! *One note is that a good amount of years ago, the owner used to make his own teas and juices for customers; they were always so fun to try. If you're a local and you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? I'd recommend going for lunch. If you're visiting the area, it's also worth stopping by since Agoura doesn't have many of their own small businesses and restaurants (especially affordable ones that are good.)
