The first time I went they were rude and didn't say a word. The front door say walk ins welcomed... I didn't feel to welcomed. They lady who did my nails was slow and didn't understand a word I said... Today I went in think well maybe it was just a bad day boy was I wrong, the owner rolled her eyes and saw me sit down i said I needed a fill. She looked at me and in a rude voice said " we are booked no time for you " well behind her were 4 works doing nothing. I spend money on my nails I've been known to pay up to 90 dollars to get a fill in Germany. The woman who did my nails was very nice but the owner of all people was so rude! I walked in and she just looked at me and raised her brows like "can I help you?" No words actually came out of her mouth UNTIL I asked for a simple polish change on my toes. A very nice man did them and instead of just a quick polish change, he filed them for me but the owner did not like that! She came over and said something about my toes(in a different language of course but was pointing at my toes) and after she walked away, he rushed to get them done. They are also over priced compared to other places I've been to. Thought I'd stop by to see how the place was since it is right next to my house. It was super quick to get a spot to do my pedicure. The place was extremely clean and the lady who did my nails did an amazing job (didn't get her name). You could tell that a lot of customers there had great relationships with the employees which I thought was very nice. I have a TERRIBLE experience with pedicures and acrylic fills, every time I have came for a fill, the older woman who works in here, ONE she cut my finger trying to drill so fast she cut my thumb. Next I'm 9 months pregnant and she's jerking my arm across my body bc it isn't stretched far enough for her. THEN all of my nails are crooked. So acrylic wise this place is awful. Pedicure wise, They're in a hurry and charge too much. I got the "$45" one that's 15 minute massage and all this fancy stuff. My pedicure as no different than my sisters $25 one. read more

I rarely leave reviews on things, but I hardly come to this place because my experience each time isn't that great. Not to mention my nails never look that great either. I decided to stop in here today to get a mani and the lady was extremely rude that I wanted a regular mani instead of getting a gel. (I get it, tips are usually less for these services that take just as much time) but none the less, I'm a paying customer and that's what I wanted. I brushed it off and she just continued to be rude, then finally started coming around and being a bit kinder. I would've let this go and just not come back but what's making me leave a review is how terrible my nails look. The second coat of polish didn't cover the entire nail and you can see layers on every single nail. I'll stick to the other place I usually go from now on, this is ridiculous. Customer service....thumbs down. My first time at IB nails this past wknd, and will be my last. Obligated to try them since I had a gift certificate. Young, tall, lanky, eyeglass wearing lady who did my pedicure didn't even ask what package I wanted, even though I had their menu on my lap. Not a good example for your business IB nails. Just saying. Your employers should be more welcoming. Upside- the other older lady who did my gel shellac manicure took her time and did a good job. But then the "boss lady" must have told her to hurry up and finish cause there were now 3 other women waiting to get their nails done. So, I was shorted my relaxing hand/ arm massage. And she hurried to put my flip flops on and said I was all set. My impression- don't go to IB nails if you're expecting a welcoming, relaxing experience. read more

I've been here twice since moving into the Coronado Cays. It's closer than going into the village and it's much nicer than places in the village. They are super friendly and really tend to your nails well. They only lose one star because once my thumbnail chipped when I was messing around with my iPhone case and they charge an extra dollar on a credit card. But I totally recommend them to all of my friends. They're friendly and the prices are pretty good for the quality. read more

Service was fast but don't pay for any extras. Asked for extra foot massage supposed to be 15 minutes reflexology. They rubbed my calves for 15 minutes didn't even touch my feet and proceeded to clean the foot soaking tub during my massage. Cost me $40 after tip for a poor massage and poor pedicure and then let me walk out of there barefoot without offering the paper flip flops when clearly I needed them. Not sanitary didn't seen them clean their tools or put them in a sanitation device before or after. Only have two stars because service was quick and massage chairs were nice and new. read more

I'm visiting with family and we all needed our nails done. This place was able to squeeze five gals in 10 mins! Great package deals and clean place. Kit was great! I have been going to this place for a while now, but finally got around to writing a review. I will tell you a little about my experience last week. I got off work early and was a "walk-in" around 5:30 but I was warmly greeted and quickly seated. I had Niki for my Mani and Brian for my pedi. They both have done my nails in the past and are GREAT! I showed Niki a pic of what I wanted and she helped me find the perfect color and did a beautiful job. My job entails ALOT of walking, so the massage chairs and the Pedi were like heaven! I left feeling like a new person. The mani and pedis always seem better quality at Imperial Nails than other places and hold up better. I work with horses for a living so I am "hell" on my hands and feet. The employees take their time and treat you as an individual and build a good relationship with you. Love this place! read more

I have been going here since it opened I don't know how many years ago. They have expanded to a large salon and done a beautiful job. The girls are all great and most of them do a good job. I am not sure what they are saying and whether it is about me or not, which is why they get 1 star taken away, but none the less, it is a great place to sit back and get a pedicure in a massage chair, or whatever, while watching one of the flat screens up on the wall. read more

Just ok. I've been to better places. I like comfort, and this place isn't as comfortable as I would like. It's obviously older. There's no AC, the chairs are old and outdated, and there's nothing here that's worth mentioning to anyone. The place I usually go to offers bottled water when you come in, has very comfortable, operable chairs, and great service. My pedicure at this new place was good, though. I get my toes buffed and the girl hooked it up. I may return if I don't feel like driving to Kearny Mesa or unless I find a better place in IB. read more

Me and my mom came in when they where busy and told us to come back in 1 hour so we did. We had to wait for about 10min then they sat my mom for her pedi. She is about to get her toes painted pretty much done and I am still waiting just to get started. They could have mention it will be another hour. The customer service sucks. Coming from Hawaii I was thinking that the mainland nail salons were going to be cheaper so when I found this one had only one $ and such great reviews I thought, "lets give it a try." So I called and the woman who answered said it was only $20 for a spa pedicure...SCORE! But when I got there. They sat me down, handed me a pricing sheet in plastic sheet protector with the pedicure "packages" they offered and the cheapest one was $30 (on special from $45) ??? Really? And this one didn't cover any dead skin or callous removal at all? They did, however, include a paraffin wax moisture treatment for my dead skin with this one so that's good. ?? Half way they the process the tech grabbed a file to start "smoothing" the bottoms of my feet and then looked at me and asked if I wanted my callous' removed.... I was now confused because the package I selected didn't include this so I said "yes". She then replied " it's 7$ more" to which I said ...... "Ok I guess" Anyway the overall experience was pleasant. It was clean, and quiet, and professional but I was disappointed in the pricing and included procedures. I would have gladly skipped the paraffin moisture treatment if they would have replaced it with the dead skin/ callous removal instead. Just sayin. Found this in 2012 on Yelp during my visit to family in SD. Now it become my favorite spot to go glam up and relax, recharge at the same time. A very fresh and clean environment as Im always afraid of the heavy smell of some typical nails salon. Here you won't be tortured by that which is why I gave its 5 stars. For me, beauty has to be healthy as well. Also, Very good quality of product and services in decent price. I'm always willing to pay a bit more for the better quality.but here i don't even feel like I pay more, every cents is worth it. They also offer reflexology massage which I had tried and now become my must do part every time I visit. It's not like a salon with massage as extra service. This place is THE best place to come for a mani pedi in IB! Got the $35 spa pedicure and it felt soooo good and they actually did a great job on painting my nails. Very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. It was my first time here and me and my hubby came in as walk ins and got seated right away. I got a facial on a whim and gosh was it wonderful! Steam machine, Essential oils and so much more and she explained every step of what she was doing throughout the facial ohhh it was totally worth the $$ and I definetly reccomend them. read more

The first time I went here to get my nails done I had to tell the tech 3 different times to paint my whole nail.. she still left a few nails not fully painted. I tossed it up to just not getting the best lady for the job. The next time I went here I got a mani/ pedi.. I wanted both my finger nails and toenails to match in color. My fingernails were HOT pink and my toe nails were RED. I pointed out the difference and the tech argued with me and insisted they were the same. Third times a charm right? WRONG! I went to get a gel color change on my fingernails today. The nail tech, who's name is Lan Tran.. was EXTREMELY rude. She physically (aggravated) shook and grabbed my hands countless times to reposition them. She made it very clear that I was pissing her off. And when I asked her to kindly fix the width of one of my French tips she huffed in my face and shot me the dirtiest look. I mean,.. am I not paying for MY nails to get done? Needless to say I definitely WONT be going back here to get my nails done. And I would recommend you didn't either. TERRIBLE customer service and you won't get what you want. read more

I have tried and while traveling, I've never found any up to the standards of Imperial Nails. A lot of attention has been paid to the cleanliness of the facility, the comfort of the chairs, and overall warmth of the staff. I live in the neighborhood so wouldn't it be great if it were convenient to just pop in and have services done? NOPE. The lady at the front, not sure if she's the owner or not, is so rude. Ask for the guy if you HAVE to go in. The ladies doing the pedis are nice but not much attention to massage and pressure and hot/cold (in terms of towels, lotion, water). The price was fine, but again, when I went a couple weeks ago, my nails were bubbly and lifted in 3 days!! (that is SHELAC!) Today I just went in for my eye brows and she gave me a mirror that was so dirty I could NOT see out of it. So I asked to stand up and look in the wall mirror. She totally said, "fine." then when I looked at her to see if she was serious, she did a quick fake smile and told me "where? I don't see where?" When I showed her she jerked my face to the side and did another quick wax sitting up. She said, "don't lie down, just sit up and turn". So demeaning.
