She said she was going to soak them off but then proceeded to them off and everytime I pulled away she would just continue with being rough. By the end of it I just wanted out. I had a long day and am also pregnant, so I was really hoping to unwind and relax. I did make an appointment and even came in earlier than I preferred, but I still had to wait quite a while. While my feet were soaking, the nail technician asked if she could do another client's eyebrows, and I agreed thinking it would be quick. It ended up taking about 20 minutes, and then another eyebrow client was taken as well. After being there for around 40 minutes with my pedicure still not started, I canceled my other appointment for the evening and asked her to take whoever she needed so she wouldn't feel rushed with me. The technician was kind, and I tried to stay calm and make the best of it, but the pedicure itself felt rushed. My feet weren't cleaned as thoroughly as I would have liked, and there was a small cut that caused bleeding toward the end. On the positive side, my toes did come out really beautiful. The service was $30, which is very affordable, and I do think you get what you pay for. While I appreciated the friendliness, the overall experience wasn't as relaxing as I had hoped. I would like to come back but I most likely won't be back.

Think I arrived there at just the right time as I got seated right away. A few minutes later, more people came in and had to wait a bit. The staff seemed nice. More on the quiet side. Had some old school music playing in the background which was cool. They had a few spa pedicure seats and manicure stations. This visit was for a pedicure. Got seated in one of the spa massage chairs. They have books of nail polish colors that you can choose from. There was a good selection of colors. Just got the basic pedicure and added on the callus remover. For the callus remover, she scrubbed extra hard. Not enough to hurt, but close to it. I did not inspect the finished product too closely before leaving. But, afterwards, noticed that the polish color was slightly lighter and did not have the shimmer like the polish that was selected. However, that's my fault as she did ask me if the color was OK. Also noticed a spot on one nail and noticeable brush strokes in the nail polish. Not bad enough got me to go back and ask to get it fixed. But, definitely far from perfect. Overall, this place is average. Not bad and not great. But, a quick place to stop by and get the job done.

When I returned, only the affected nail(s) were repaired instead of redoing the full pedicure. I was then given just 20% off the original $50 service, meaning I still paid $40 for a partial fix rather than the full service I initially received. The discount had to be approved by a manager, which the nail techs had to call for while I was there, despite the salon previously messaging me on Instagram saying they would fix my nails. There was no clear communication beforehand that I would still be charged. Considering the gel began lifting in less than 1 hour, I expected the issue to be corrected at no cost. While the staff was polite, the way this situation was handled felt disappointing and did not reflect standing behind the quality of their work. What was most disappointing was the lack of transparency, when I was told it would be "fixed," it wasn't made clear there would be an additional charge (the full service again!) While the staff was polite, this experience did not reflect a business standing behind its work, especially as a returning client. Charging a percentage of a full service that was not redone felt inappropriate. Unfortunately, I'll be looking for a new salon.

Unfortunately during my multiple calls to places asking about pricing... I was not even thinking about massage chairs. I did not feel like driving to lemon grove to get my pedi-cure which has great massage chairs. The front entrance door is locked but the back door is open. There was three (3) techs working and yes it is a hole in the wall place, the vibe here is very welcoming and friendly and sweet (that is a 5 out of 5 for sure), we had some laughs with the techs and listening to conversations with regulars, you could tell they keep their clientele. I can tell you my toes have never throbbed before, and hand soap was used to clean my feet (which was a first for me) - straight from the pump bottle. My significant other had issues with cutting his toenails and was extremely painful. The pricing was a bit higher than I pay at my normal shop but was glad they could get us in. You can literally see through the nail & honestly from the lighting inside, I couldn't really see that/notice that. The 3D flower is beautiful though but it's not like a baby pink like I wanted. I also got a "pedicure" which only lasted 5 minutes.. I was observing her closely and this is what I got: -My left foot: pushed cuticles back, only cuts cuticles of my big toe. -Right: pushed cuticles back & cuts all cuticles. -Both: files once on each toe & cleans under nails but hurt & scrubs heels super lightly with SoftSoap brand soap while texting a lot.. She was also texting a lot when she was doing my acrylics. I had actually went in for a gel pedi & once she was done with the pedi part, I told her I had to go because I honestly did not want to continue or stay for the service I was getting so I asked for the regular pedicure price.... Let me just say I've never had to pay $25 for a 5 minute pedicure. I'm honestly not the type to get mad/yell at the workers at any salon so I just paid & left. It's not that I should've said something, it's that I did and during it all, I was telling her to fix this and I had to tell her to do 2 coats of the pink color??? I will never go back, this review is really just for other people's awareness & hopefully it is helpful to go elsewhere. I recommend Rosy Tips on H Street, Chula Vista.
