My nails were average compared to the shop I normally go to. I initially called and was given one price and once I arrived I was given a higher price. My pedicure was rushed & she kept slightly cutting into my skin throughout the pedicure. My nails were not painted to my cuticle. It was overpriced for the quality that was provided. Another customer threatened to call the police while I was there because her nail was damaged during her appointment & she was refunded. I should have asked for my money back but it honestly was a last minute walk-in because I couldn't go to my shop. I don't think this shop has much diversity so that may have an effect on the quality of service you receive. This shop doesn't have refreshments of any sort while getting your nails done which I'm use to at almost every shop I've been to, I'm offered a water, juice, or cocktail with maybe a snack. This place isn't horrible but far from the best. read more

Coronado: 5 stars; San Diego: 4 stars. Plush provides one of the best pedicures on island and at very reasonable prices. I love their service - if you book an appointment for pedicures for 3 friends - they will accommodate you. Many places wait until you show up and then only can take one or two people at a time, despite telling you otherwise over the phone. Plush service is always impeccable. They have the standard bells and whistles - spa, parafin etc.. If you want super high end (sea moss toe mask etc..) then go to Hillcrest and overpay. read more

Fantastic salon in Coronado. They have always done a great job for me. I use them for pedicures and manicures and the ladies are very attentive. I opt for the full service with massage and my feet and legs thank me every time. Lemon scrub on my arms...yes and thank you. Hot towel and paraffin make the difference. Prices are very, very reasonable for the level of service and attention to detail. Walks-in welcome but you can make appointments. Lee is rude and short tempered. She did my gel manicure and was literally cutting my skin.. Super super bummed out about this experience. I asked her to please not file my nails too short, and she filled then VERY SHORT. I have been trying to grow my nails out since taking a break from acrylics and she filled waaayyy too short. Also did not bring the paint all the way to the sides. Plus left a bunch of dead skin on my cuticles? Very weird experience. She was upset when I told her I just wanted two coats, I knew the color was very light and that it would end up looking very thick. She got verrryyy rude and upset because of this and grabbed my hand back and put another TWO coats on.. lol... then showed me and asked if I liked it. ‍ When I was done she said "ok get up" such a bummer, such a bad experience. I have been getting Brazilian waxes for over 10 years, so I am used to quite a bit. I went for one here at Plush and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had! There are times you have to hold a little to help out, but this technician was pulling and shopping my hands in fingers into place and went over the same spots over and over again. When she was "finished" there were still many many hairs left which she plucked out manually. Not to mention that she didn't wear any gloves throughout the event! And, here's the worst part, I was actually bleeding from it afterwards!! Never again! Worst experience EVER! read more

My first experience was great because I was a first time customer, it was my first time getting acrylics and I didn't know any better. Came back to get an acrylic fill in and my experience was a complete 180 and was overall a huge letdown. My nail tech was Nancy the manager. Here's everything that went bad and why I will not be going back to her: She was 30 minutes late to my appt. She nicked my thumb and it stung for a good 24 hours. Felt some burning with the drill. She didn't completely remove my old nail color so there are still some little green specs that I can see on my middle and ring finger nail (apologies if the camera didn't pick it up very well). Some nail shapes are uneven (I asked for short almond and one side isn't as narrow as the other and I wasn't aware of that until the French tips were painted on). Also, the ends are very rough and not smooth. There's bubbles from the acrylic beads. My cuticles were absolutely demolished by the drill and she was very heavy handed. She used a sheer gel polish before doing the French tips so you can still see the older acrylic underneath. When she asked me if the nails were to my liking and I looked at them they were clearly rushed and there were still spaces that she didn't completely cover so I asked her to fill those spaces in. Also, the French tip on my ring finger is far thinner than the rest so you can see my natural mail underneath. The paint at the tips are already chipping after a day. Overall this experience was very rushed and unpleasant like she didn't care about the details as compared to my first visit that I paid $70 and tipped her heavily for. I was charged $55 USD for the fill which was far too overpriced for the less than standard job that she did. I was completely ripped off. Just because you're busy and took on too many appointments and customers doesn't mean you can do a rushed, subpar job. read more

***I had to update my review after my most recent visit because WOW what a difference!***…read more I really appreciate businesses that take ownership when something doesn't go as planned. After my previous experience, the team reached out, made things right, and even provided a complimentary service for the inconvenience. That's the kind of customer care that earns customer loyalty. Experience: This visit was a complete 180 from my last one. No issues with the call box or communication with calls/texts. I was able to get in and out in under an hour and everything stayed on schedule. KUDOS! Service: My lash lift with tint looks amazing! I will say I have had better lifts done. I think I prefer the Korean lash lift (which they don't do here), but Keyaira did an amazing job, as usual. She's talented, a great conversationalist, and made me feel so relaxed throughout the whole process. Overall, this visit changed my impression and everyone was very accommodating (shout to Kay as well!!) and focused on making sure I had a better experience. I wish I got to meet the other staff in person, but apparently they aren't there most weekends or at least when I went. Thanks for turning a frustrating situation into a positive one.
