Horrible manicure and gel painting. There was no manicure. They painted over my cuticle. When I told the tech the color did not look like what I selected, she told me I was wrong and she knows bc she has been doing this everyday for yrs. When I asked for a new color she did the opposite of what I asked. When i asked for an addition coat bc it was blotchy/streaky she said no. I've had my nails done for decades, at a wide range of locations. This was the worst services I've ever had. read more

Fantastic experience I was only in town for a shorter period so I got to get my nails done twice. Tanya is my girl for mani and Jennifer was fantastic for my pedi! Quick, efficient and they make sure your nails are flawless! Definitely recommend this place. read more

I absolutely loved my service. I haven't gotten my nails done in a long time and they were so sweet and nice. It was a very pleasant atmosphere even though they close at six and I showed up at 5:30 .. that made me a little nervous, but they did a fantastic job! Sandy was so thorough and made sure that she nailed what I wanted no pun intended worth the money ladies read more

Came here looking to get a pedicure. I immediately felt like my tech Tiffany was rushing through the job. Instead of putting nail polish remover on a cotton ball she squirted all my toes with remover getting it all over my feet. Acetone is very drying and doing that on purpose seems sloppy. Then came the nail polish application- the type that when they rush to put it on leaves polish streaks. I asked for short nails and didn't get that either. I really wanted to like this place because it's so close and convenient to our home. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now, and am a Coronado local who grew up here. I'm in love with Builder Gel manicured that allow my natural nails to grow and stay long. I specifically go to Lynn here who does AMAZING French manicured work, chrome effects, tiger and Carter sparkle glitter effects on the nail that are both classy and super unique. I love having Sandy do my pedicures she is also attentive and cares about detail. read more

Loved my experience so far! My first visit was a walk-in for a pedicure and my attendant, Linda, was extremely nice. It didn't feel rushed at all. The overall vibe was lovely, they offer drinks for everyone, so that's a welcoming plus. I definitely recommend them if you're looking for service in the area. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for over 10 years. The technicians are wonderful, the service is great, and it is clean. Recently however they mounted multiple large video screens all with the same revolving photos of fake nail designs and the prices. The designs are very tacky and distasteful and the hand models are atrocious. Fat, old, ugly hands with tattoos and gaudy rings. Everywhere you look you see these videos repeating constantly. It ruins the atmosphere and the experience. Very inappropriate for the military and civilian clientele in Coronado. read more

Tanya is amazing!! She takes her time and asks me what pedicure and color I would like. She also does artwork that is beautiful!! I have gotten so many compliments on my pedicures. It's always fun to come because I can relax and have a wonderful pedicure! I recommend the gel pedicure because it lasts for weeks. Also you can have a beverage. I recommend the iced green tea or hot, both wonderful and soothing for the soul! You will be in great care here!! A++++ read more

This nail salon I've been going to for a while has the worst service I've ever had. They tell you to sit down, sat in the chair for an hour and 10 minutes. Nobody even came over to say anything to me horrible. read more

I regularly visit this nail salon for both manicures and pedicures... they are fast, meticulous and friendly. My go to spot on Coronado. I've been with many of the gals that work here as well as Sonny and they all do great work. I especially love Tiffany. They have many options for colors, styles and lush pedicures. The prices are reasonable and you get a glass of wine, coffee or drink of choice with your service. Always walk out looking great read more

5/5 - Incredible Experience! As a guy who only gets a pedicure maybe 4 or 5 times a year, I wasn't expecting much--but wow, this experience blew me away. I went with the Golden Package, and it was easily the best pedicure I've ever had. Tanya was phenomenal. Her massage skills are next-level. I run regularly and put a lot of stress on my calves and shins, and she worked them out better than some sports massages I've had. The hot stones and even the sliced oranges (yeah, actual oranges!) on my legs were surprisingly awesome--refreshing, soothing, and something I've never experienced before. The whole pedicure was incredibly relaxing--not just a foot cleanup, but a full-on recovery session. From a man's perspective, I'm telling you this is not just pampering--it's legit self-care. I honestly might start doing this every month now. Totally worth it. read more

My nails started chipping and then breaking only 7 days after getting dip powder. I now have 6 nails all chipping throughout. Extremely disappointing. Sometimes I feel like the nail techs are rushing to get it over with and don't pay attention to detail. Usually dip powder will last me at least a month without chipping. read more

They are always so professional. I get gel mani's & pedi's. They are so efficient. I have never had a negative experience. All their nail techs smile, I have never seen anyone with a frown or grumpy. It's Coronado so it may be a little pricey but, in my opinion, it's worth every $ you spend. If you're there in the summer or on holidays suggest you make an appointment. They do have availability for walk-in but this business is usually quite busy. read more

Initially I was happy with my nails. I went in on a Tuesday to have them done for my upcoming babyshower that weekend. By Thursday morning they were already falling apart. I went in to see if they'd fix them, expecting that they would. HORRIBLE customer service. They refused to fix my messed up nails. I don't have time with family coming in to get them done another day, so I'm going to remove them and just deal with it. Would not recommend this business. Nails should last more than 2 days. I'm incredibly disappointed. read more

Paid $70 for a pedicure that lasted... all of a few hours. The polish started peeling on the drive home, and the rest followed within days. The tech sighed loudly when I changed my color and even chatted about me to another worker--great customer service, right? URGENT Update on 5 star post. I have been a loyal customer since this business opened ( 8 plus years ago). I have always set up appointments days in advance with Jenny, a friendly and knowledgeable customer service nail tech. Due to a new receptionist and the lack of training the owner failed to provide her, I had the worst experience ever and will not return. My pedicure and manicure were supposed to be with jenny, sadly this is not what happened. I ended up with a tech that could not perform a simple pedicure. After explaining over and over what I needed to both nail tech and receptionist the owner of this business got involved. Learning that the owner gave the receptionist no training on conflict resolution, correct policy management & procedures is unacceptable from a business perspective. I was told Jenny would finish my pedicure but this did not happed. The owner fail to manage his business properly. read more

Had a great dip powder manicure in November. It was relaxing, well done and efficient. And it lasted about four weeks. This is my second time going here and I'll definitely return again when in the area. read more

I've been here several times and gotten decent manis and pedis. Went last Monday and all I can say is, bad decision. The pedi was fine. The mani, awful. The technician cut me badly on my left thumb when doing my cuticles. Bled throughout the manicure. It's almost a week later and as you can see below, the spot still looks (and feels) bad. She also seemed rushed through the entire mani despite the salon not being very busy. I've had countless manicures with a sugar scrub and paraffin dip both here and various locations all over the world. This is the ONLY TIME I have ever had the paraffin dip done THEN the sugar scrub. In fact, she started the scrub while my hands were still in paraffin! She scrubbed my arms for a bit then removed the paraffin and did a little scrubbing of my hands. I don't need to tell anyone who's ever had these treatments how ineffective it was as well as counter effective for the paraffin. Additionally, my hands and arms were so sticky afterwards, I had to ask the tech doing the pedi to stop so I could wash my hands. Ugh. There are plenty of similarly rated nail salons on Coronado. I don't think I'll be back. I encourage anyone else wanting a good looking manicure to try another place. Meanwhile, I'll rebandage my thumb and hope for the best. read more

I casually stopped by this salon for a manicure and removal of SNS dip. My nails had grown significantly and in need of a polish change. Starting off with my experience the customer service staff at the front didn't acknowledge my presence nor welcome me in to the salon. I had to inquire about the check-in process and then she motioned for me to provide my information at the kiosk. Sat down immediately. Then the nail tech started by clipping down my nail and removing the SNS dip by pulling at the cracked pieces followed by scraping it off with acrylic nail tip. This was certainly out of the norm. Every nail salon that I have been, will remove the dip by soaking the nail in acetone. When I inquired about the method she assured me this was a better option. Shortly after that statement my nail was ripped off and bled. She then proceeded to do it the correct way but then wanted to dip my fresh wound in acetone. I should have walked out but wanted to give her a chance to make it right. The tech was apologetic but overall the service and vibe was not fitting for me. read more

Had just a manicure. My nails were in bad shape. The manicurist was very patient and did a very thorough job. I was very pleased.

I had a great first visit today to the Nail Studio. Based on reviews here, I requested Tanya for a dip manicure and was assigned Andy for a gel pedicure. Both were friendly, thorough and did a phenomenal job. Tanya was very sweet, offering me green tea. She constantly checked with me as she progressed to be sure everything was to my liking.
