Came here looking to get a pedicure. I immediately felt like my tech Tiffany was rushing through the job. Instead of putting nail polish remover on a cotton ball she squirted all my toes with remover getting it all over my feet. Acetone is very drying and doing that on purpose seems sloppy. Then came the nail polish application- the type that when they rush to put it on leaves polish streaks. I asked for short nails and didn't get that either. I have been coming to this nail salon for over 10 years. The technicians are wonderful, the service is great, and it is clean. Recently however they mounted multiple large video screens all with the same revolving photos of fake nail designs and the prices. The designs are very tacky and distasteful and the hand models are atrocious. Fat, old, ugly hands with tattoos and gaudy rings. Everywhere you look you see these videos repeating constantly. It ruins the atmosphere and the experience. Very inappropriate for the military and civilian clientele in Coronado. read more

I went with the Golden Package, and it was easily the best pedicure I've ever had. Tanya was phenomenal. Her massage skills are next-level. I run regularly and put a lot of stress on my calves and shins, and she worked them out better than some sports massages I've had. The hot stones and even the sliced oranges (yeah, actual oranges!) on my legs were surprisingly awesome--refreshing, soothing, and something I've never experienced before. Initially I was happy with my nails. I went in on a Tuesday to have them done for my upcoming babyshower that weekend. By Thursday morning they were already falling apart. I went in to see if they'd fix them, expecting that they would. HORRIBLE customer service. They refused to fix my messed up nails. URGENT Update on 5 star post. I have been a loyal customer since this business opened ( 8 plus years ago). I have always set up appointments days in advance with Jenny, a friendly and knowledgeable customer service nail tech. Due to a new receptionist and the lack of training the owner failed to provide her, I had the worst experience ever and will not return. My pedicure and manicure were supposed to be with jenny, sadly this is not what happened. I ended up with a tech that could not perform a simple pedicure. After explaining over and over what I needed to both nail tech and receptionist the owner of this business got involved. Learning that the owner gave the receptionist no training on conflict resolution, correct policy management & procedures is unacceptable from a business perspective. I was told Jenny would finish my pedicure but this did not happed. The owner fail to manage his business properly. read more

I've been here several times and gotten decent manis and pedis. Went last Monday and all I can say is, bad decision. The pedi was fine. The mani, awful. The technician cut me badly on my left thumb when doing my cuticles. Bled throughout the manicure. It's almost a week later and as you can see below, the spot still looks (and feels) bad. She also seemed rushed through the entire mani despite the salon not being very busy. I've had countless manicures with a sugar scrub and paraffin dip both here and various locations all over the world. This is the ONLY TIME I have ever had the paraffin dip done THEN the sugar scrub. In fact, she started the scrub while my hands were still in paraffin! She scrubbed my arms for a bit then removed the paraffin and did a little scrubbing of my hands. I don't need to tell anyone who's ever had these treatments how ineffective it was as well as counter effective for the paraffin. Additionally, my hands and arms were so sticky afterwards, I had to ask the tech doing the pedi to stop so I could wash my hands. Ugh. There are plenty of similarly rated nail salons on Coronado. I don't think I'll be back. I encourage anyone else wanting a good looking manicure to try another place. Meanwhile, I'll rebandage my thumb and hope for the best. read more

Had just a manicure. My nails were in bad shape. The manicurist was very patient and did a very thorough job. I was very pleased.

I casually stopped by this salon for a manicure and removal of SNS dip. My nails had grown significantly and in need of a polish change. Starting off with my experience the customer service staff at the front didn't acknowledge my presence nor welcome me in to the salon. I had to inquire about the check-in process and then she motioned for me to provide my information at the kiosk. Sat down immediately. Then the nail tech started by clipping down my nail and removing the SNS dip by pulling at the cracked pieces followed by scraping it off with acrylic nail tip. This was certainly out of the norm. Every nail salon that I have been, will remove the dip by soaking the nail in acetone. When I inquired about the method she assured me this was a better option. Shortly after that statement my nail was ripped off and bled. She then proceeded to do it the correct way but then wanted to dip my fresh wound in acetone. I should have walked out but wanted to give her a chance to make it right. The tech was apologetic but overall the service and vibe was not fitting for me. read more
