Nice Indian option on the north side of Plainfield. Enjoyed the weekday buffet, plentiful of options to choose from. Our favorite was the Murch Mali Kabab and Chicken Biryani. You also can't go wrong with the mango desert. Nan was served fresh and service was good. Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Thank you

I'm am thrilled to finally have a decent Indian buffet open semi close to me. I had to drive thirty minutes to get there, but totally worth it! The restaurant is clean and well designed. The buffet dishes are beautiful. I love that they are covered and the lid holder right over them is such a great idea! The food stays warm and doesn't dry out or stay exposed. Great idea and so beautiful! The food was wonderful as well, great tasting and a large assortment of dishes to choose from. We went on a weekday and there were several vegetarian and chicken options. Naan and chicken tandoori were brought to the table by the very attentive waitstaff. They were super friendly and very accommodating. My niece loves naan and basically inhaled basket after basket, and they just kept bring her fresh naan. Such nice people! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Not salty or over spiced. The chef knows what they are doing! The lunch buffet during the week is only $14, and on the weekends $18! Totally worth it! I have a few Indian buffets closer to me (Downers Grove), but this is by far the best I've had since Covid, and it's worth the drive for the variety, value, and experience!

Excellent lunch buffet at a great price. Food was fresh, well spiced but not spicy. Tandoori chicken (cilantro spiced) and Nan brought to table. The tandoori was excellent and will be a great take out with a side of potato and peas. Give this place a chance and help them succeed!

When I look at the menu, I try to look for dishes that I've never had. I know our waiter suggested butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, but those are the most popular safe dishes for non Indians. I say safe dishes because your average American that walks in, is not going to order something that he/she doesn't know what it is. We ordered chicken 65, kashmiri naan, spinach chicken, kadhai lamb, and tandoori shrimp. Just a FYI, the water bottle(s) that come to your table are $2 each. They're not free. Portion sizes are average. Prices were fair. Service was great and attentive. Usually, there would be parking in the front and back. However, for some reason they were both full and there were barely any customers inside the restaurant. You can also park at the nearby parking garage (top level). That's a 2 min walk. -chicken 65 5 - this reminds me of a Chinese dish but I can't remember. I'm talking about the texture when you're eating it. As an Indian appetizer, it was delicious and would pair well with rice. Very addicting to eat. -kashmiri naan 5 - it has a mild sweet taste that is good with savory dishes. A mixture of dried fruits, coconut, and maybe nuts. -spinach chicken 5 - chicken was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. Very safe dish to eat if you're not that adventurous. -kadhai lamb 5 - the sauce has a more bold flavor than the spinach chicken. The lamb was very good. -tandoori shrimp 5 - Just a warning but this is kind of spicy especially for those that can't handle spicy foods. I like that the shrimp are prawn size and they were very tasty.

TANDOORI TAKE-OUT…read more Our preferred spot for Indian food has amazing butter chicken & tikka masala, even though we're not sure which is which. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Every 1-2 months, my wife and I--having exhausted the other options of sushi, pizza, gyros, and wings--find ourselves placing an order at Kababish. This restaurant is located on Hassert & Route 59 in Naperville, and although they've been in business for some time, I'm stunned that I'm the first to review them on Yelp. The chicken tikka masala ($15) and butter chicken ($15) are equally good, but never labeled--the yellow one is distinctly spicier and uses large chunks of white meat, while the red one is sweeter with strips of chicken. According to Google AI, however, butter chicken is milder and creamier, whereas chicken tikka masala uses more spices and has a reddish color. We still have no idea. Garlic naan ($3.50) is perfect for mopping up leftover sauce, and they're kind enough to include a small bucket of rice with each entrée. Some places have the stones to charge you for plain white rice, even though it's absurdly cheap, so I'm glad that Kababish doesn't play those games. My wife also usually orders a mango lassi ($5), a yogurt-based drink with cardamom. We've typically ordered through Grubhub, UberEats, or Doordash (with the occasional in-person pickup), but the few interactions I've had with the guy at the carryout counter have been friendly. * TL;DR * This unassuming spot in Naperville has some of the tastiest tikka masala out there. For a while, we went to Sara's Indian but when we realized they were ripping us off (white rice was extra), we started giving our business to Kababish and haven't looked back. Sometimes the spiciness level of the butter chicken changes, but the deliciousness doesn't. The Indian food here is tops, they've made us lifelong customers! Highly recommended.

Dark beadboard walls, copper ceiling tiles, round orb lighting, and upstairs a cavernous space with soaring ceilings anchored by a stunning skylight. It is genuinely one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the area. Date night approved. One gripe before we get to the good stuff: if you have pages and pages of creative cocktails and an extensive wine list, your two mocktail options deserve the same love. We don't drink and the options were fine but very sour and clearly an afterthought. Do better for the sober and sober curious crowd. Now the food. The burrata was creamy, rich, and gorgeous sitting in olive oil topped with chimichurri and grilled bread. Needed more balsamic to bring the acid balance home, but honestly still one of the better burratas I've had locally. The stuffed pork with gouda, chimichurri, and saffron potato wedges was a genuinely smart plate. The saffron wedges were a surprise standout, bringing a clean earthiness that cut through the richness beautifully. A touch heavy on the gouda and the whole dish woke up considerably with a little extra salt, but the bones of it are excellent. The churrasco hanger steak told the same story. Well cooked, flavorful, chimichurri doing its job. The curly fries were the one shrug of the night. Not bad, just boring next to everything else on offer. Mike our server closed the deal by steering us toward the caramel skillet cookie and honestly, bless him for it. Warm, salty, sweet, rich, topped with cold vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. It is everything a skillet cookie should be and we scraped the pan. We are already planning the return visit and bringing friends.
