Nice Indian option on the north side of Plainfield. Enjoyed the weekday buffet, plentiful of options to choose from. Our favorite was the Murch Mali Kabab and Chicken Biryani. You also can't go wrong with the mango desert. Nan was served fresh and service was good. Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Thank you

I'm am thrilled to finally have a decent Indian buffet open semi close to me. I had to drive thirty minutes to get there, but totally worth it! The restaurant is clean and well designed. The buffet dishes are beautiful. I love that they are covered and the lid holder right over them is such a great idea! The food stays warm and doesn't dry out or stay exposed. Great idea and so beautiful! The food was wonderful as well, great tasting and a large assortment of dishes to choose from. We went on a weekday and there were several vegetarian and chicken options. Naan and chicken tandoori were brought to the table by the very attentive waitstaff. They were super friendly and very accommodating. My niece loves naan and basically inhaled basket after basket, and they just kept bring her fresh naan. Such nice people! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Not salty or over spiced. The chef knows what they are doing! The lunch buffet during the week is only $14, and on the weekends $18! Totally worth it! I have a few Indian buffets closer to me (Downers Grove), but this is by far the best I've had since Covid, and it's worth the drive for the variety, value, and experience!

Excellent lunch buffet at a great price. Food was fresh, well spiced but not spicy. Tandoori chicken (cilantro spiced) and Nan brought to table. The tandoori was excellent and will be a great take out with a side of potato and peas. Give this place a chance and help them succeed!

Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

It just so happens that I visited the night of a holiday bar crawl in lockport so the inside wasn't set up how it normally would be. For being packed, we were still able to grab a cocktail table to enjoy our drinks at. The bar was decked out in holiday decor to get everyone in christmas spirits. My group got two rounds of drinks which included the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned, Figgy Smalls, Christmas in a Cup, Happiness is a Warm Puppy, Milk & Cookies, and Maple Bacon Old Fashioned. My favorites by far were the Toasted Pecan Old Fashioned and Figgy Smalls. My group also loved the Milk & Cookies. The bartenders hustled to get drinks out and still took time to smoke the old fashioneds to perfection. I'd love to come back on a normal night and re-enjoy this lockport hotspot.

We figured it would have been the perfect way to top off our evening. For first-timers it might be hard trying to find the speakeasy since at first I thought you had to access it from the Busy Street and walk up three flights of stairs. Actually you just walk inside of the Embers building, find the elevator that's kind of hidden and take it to the Third floor. I thought that the little trip up felt exclusive already. Once you're at the third floor you are treated to a beautiful array of scenery. Exit to your left and you were treated to the bar and some great tables with a cozy, intimate setting. I'm not sure if it was open seating since there was a little podium right off the elevator so we just sat ourselves. Some speakeasies require a certain dress code to keep up with the times. This one thankfully was casual though many people dressed business casual. We actually loved how the staff dressed as well. I have to try their Japanese sex drink and I absolutely loved every ship that I took. The drinks are fairly price. They did have a food menu but it was mainly snacks and small plates that were a bit overpriced. If we're having a large Gathering they have a big private room next door. This place does have a lot of great events going on as well with their upcoming Valentine's Day event that looks really interesting. It does get pretty busy as well after 7:00 p.m. from our experience. Overall, I was excited and enjoyed our visit coming to the 933 speakeasy!

We were pleasantly surprised to find out apps were 25% off- which meant we had to try the pretzel. I think it may have been the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my life. The outside was a melt-in-your-mouth fried texture with the inside being soft and doughy in the best way. Paired with any of the 3 dips, it made for the most delicious appetizer that essentially filled up our entire table itself. Special shoutout to the arse sauce & their honey mustard- sooo good. The table also tried the buffalo chicken wrap (YUM), caprese sandwich (good!), and penne alla vodka (somewhat mid but better as leftovers). Sweet potato tots were the perfect side. DOPPELBOCK 'N ROLL…read more This suburban brewery taps a solid, headbanging beer. I've always felt that a cold draft hits differently than a can or bottle. When the mood strikes me, I'll venture over to Garage Band Brewing on Des Plaines St in downtown Plainfield, next door to Station One Smokehouse (with whom they share a symbiotic relationship). Their brews have hard rock-inspired names, like 'Stout It Out Loud' (a play on the KISS song), 'Hop Shaped Box' (Alice in Chains), and 'Hybrid Th30ry' (a 30 IBU pale ale with a nod to Linkin Park). Last time here, I got 12oz of the 'Don't Harsh My Mellow' for $6. I dig the packaging wrap on their 16oz cans of Dizzy Up the Blonde; a Marilyn Monroe-esque lady sitting on a 55gal drum, suggestively tugging on her red high heel with one hand and holding a chalice of beer in the other. What's not to like there? They have a trio of pinball tables that get sporadically rotated out. Previously they had Foo Fighters and Star Wars, now they've got Stranger Things, JAWS, and a gorgeous Godzilla premium model at $1 per play. There's a digital jukebox too, if you wanna pick tunes for the venue. * TL;DR * I lack the time and expertise to brew my own beer, so I'm happy to leave it to the pros. Garage Band is a small operation with big dreams, and they already have a handful of solid brews in circulation. I check back every few months to see their new seasonal drafts, like a shandy in the summer and darker Oktoberfest-style beer in the fall. They're closed Mon-Tues. Beer and pinball are significant passions of mine, and since Garage Band has a nice selection of both, they get an easy 5*.

Getting a couple spots to sit was also easy. Getting and keeping anyone's attention was not as easy. It was a busy-ish Trivia Tuesday and they seemed to be well staffed but both people behind the bar that we tried to make contact with breezed past us a lot. Despite that, we did eventually try the $5 margaritas which packed a nice punch. We also went with a pepperoni wrapped and deep fried cheese stick. Clearly not a premade product from somewhere else...the sauce was great while the cheese stick lacked pepperoni flavor even though we clearly saw some in there. It was more boring flavor wise than expected but a really great concept! Our Foo pizza was ordered without the cilantro but also arrived without the jalapeños. Again, another great concept but this one lacked on the execution side of things. Not enough BBQ sauce at all (I'm not a huge sauce girl, but this was way too light), soooo many fried onion strings clumped together (and I love fried onions...soooo), missing the spicy component in error.... But the crust was great and cooked nicely, the pulled pork was delicious when you found a bite, the bacon cooked perfectly and the pineapple portion was good. Why four stars instead of three? Clearly they're using quality ingredients. This is huge to me! Restaurant felt, looked and smelled clean. Conceptually they've got some awesome menu items that make me want to come back and we already mentioned to friends of ours. And the drinks were solid. We will take a different approach next time and hopefully add this one to the rotation.
