I have visited this restaurant thrice on my last trip to Chicago. Loved the food. The mutton and chicken biriyani are authentic and it has become my new favorite. Their south indian tiffins were amazing too and the irani tea was excellent.

This is a great Indian restaurant that is located on this big strip mall where you will find a lot of parking spaces up in the front. If you are looking for something that's very authentic Indian this is a must place to go. However, this is not a place if you are looking for some intimate, quiet sit-down spot. This is a very busy area and this is a very busy restaurant. You will have to go up front, order your food and then they'll give you a number and then you'll find a place for your own. Go take a seat and then when your number is called you will have to go pick up your own food from the counter come back, sit down and eat. The spice level is definitely Indian spice level. Even if you do end up ordering medium. It is not the regular medium. It is the Indian medium which is hot and spicy in itself. But if you are someone who likes that then this is a great place for you. The inside decor looks like graffiti designs on the wall, but they all have some sort of meaning or understanding which is pretty nice. They are definitely family friendly and very casual. I don't remember seeing any outdoor seating but then we went there when it was super cold so we were not looking for outdoor seating. They have a lot of vegetarian options and they also have some vegan options available.

Chicken Frankie for $11.99, how skimpy is this?? It's smaller than a bean burrito at Taco Bell.

The Naperville location is usually pretty crowded. The food is average. I have been to the Dallas location and had a much better experience

The chickpea stew, puffy bread, and samosas were my favorite! The sauces were all delicious as well. What a wonderful little gem! I wish I lived nearby. I would be here every week. We had the opportunity to meet the chef. He was so humble and friendly. We told him how much we enjoyed the food, and he seemed genuinely pleased to hear it. They have absolutely no intention to satisfy customers, ambiance is well just tables and chairs with some posters. I have been to many restaurants where food is not that great but the customer service is top notch and for that I give them credit, but at this place they turned out every small request we made for food for our small kid, we didn't ask for anything for free, we asked to customize, which they straight turned down, they have nothing that is kid friendly here. When I look at the menu, I try to look for dishes that I've never had. I know our waiter suggested butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, but those are the most popular safe dishes for non Indians. I say safe dishes because your average American that walks in, is not going to order something that he/she doesn't know what it is. We ordered chicken 65, kashmiri naan, spinach chicken, kadhai lamb, and tandoori shrimp. Just a FYI, the water bottle(s) that come to your table are $2 each. They're not free. Portion sizes are average. Prices were fair. Service was great and attentive. Usually, there would be parking in the front and back. However, for some reason they were both full and there were barely any customers inside the restaurant. You can also park at the nearby parking garage (top level). That's a 2 min walk. -chicken 65 5 - this reminds me of a Chinese dish but I can't remember. I'm talking about the texture when you're eating it. As an Indian appetizer, it was delicious and would pair well with rice. Very addicting to eat. -kashmiri naan 5 - it has a mild sweet taste that is good with savory dishes. A mixture of dried fruits, coconut, and maybe nuts. -spinach chicken 5 - chicken was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. Very safe dish to eat if you're not that adventurous. -kadhai lamb 5 - the sauce has a more bold flavor than the spinach chicken. The lamb was very good. -tandoori shrimp 5 - Just a warning but this is kind of spicy especially for those that can't handle spicy foods. I like that the shrimp are prawn size and they were very tasty.

What bothered me was the overall vibe there. Been too a lot of Indian restaurants and one thing they have in common is they're typically very welcoming. I read a review saying the owner always greets them nicely. He didn't even acknowledge me coming in. The waiter was very nice but got me in and out very quickly. Didn't pour my water. The overhead music was more like a massage spa than a restaurant. Play some traditional Indian or Pakistani music. That's more fun. It just all seemed a bit uncaring. Food was good but would I come back? Not sure.

Sara's lunch buffet was delicious. We were greeted warmly by the staff, seated immediately, and were served warm naan fresh from the kitchen. As part of the buffet you get water and chai (both are self-serve). I wanted a mango lassi so I ordered one as well (not included in the buffet price). One thing I noticed was that all of their plates and bowls were Corelle. We use the same plates and bowls at home, so we loved that. Now on to the food: everything was kept fresh and was continually refreshed. The put out smaller, fresher portions from the kitchen so that nothing is sitting out for too long which was nice. I was able to get two helpings before I was stuffed. We also got a second order of naan, but ask the server since the naan comes from the kitchen, and is not laid out on the buffet tables. The price is great considering it's an AYCE buffet, for under $18/person. The buffet options included: butter chicken tandoori chicken aloo curry chana masala chicken briyani nihari (stewed beef) vegetable pakora basmati rice and more The buffet is great place to go if you want a variety of Indian/Pakistani food. I'm a fan!
