Puris!

Tuesday night is the night you have to visit Golkonda. For $15, you can get unlimited dosas, pakodas, dessert, and chai. There's 3 different kinds of rice too. Everything was delicious. You order your favorite dosa and they serve it fresh to your table. Service was quick and our tables were cleared fast. The restaurant is spacious and conveniently located next Patel Brothers. The perfect end was chai. I can't wait to come back here with friends and family again.

Came to try the wkd lunch buffet. The food was as pretty good. A lot of different options. I liked the fresh made dosa station. The dosas are made to order and small. They offer ghee, chocolate, and other option that I don't remember. The service was not so good. It may have been a language barrier, but when we asked how the buffet works being our first time there they couldn't explain and thought we wanted to see the menu and also thought when we went for seconds that we were done and cleared our dishes including my mango lassi that I didn't finish. So I wasn't really happy about that. The ambiance was clean and nice. The price point was okay.

Service was great and the staff helped to give suggestions. My friend and I had the samosa chaat, naan, tandoori platter, chicken chettinad, and sambar rice. Everything was delicious!! We will be back for the buffet!!

Lemon chicken tikka from the tandoori oven. Yum!!

Awesome food and service. I found this place by accident because it's next to Patel Brothers where I shopped. I was hungry so I had some food to go. Today came back with my kiddo, who also loves Indian food. We both enjoyed our lunch. It was a relaxing lunch with a sweet server who got everything right without writing the order so down. It was not noisy or super busy. I will be back so I can keep trying new dishes.

Visited this restaurant for lunch buffet on a Saturday - it was pretty busy. We had to wait about 15 minutes before we could get seated. They had about 20+ items on the buffet. Biryani was too delicious. Idlis were a bit cold. Other items were good. Would love to visit again!

Really dissatisfied with weekend Lunch Buffet! When we arrived around 2 on Sunday most of the dishes on the buffet were empty! Simply put the Goat Masala had no goat meat, the salad were stale and scary, the Idlis were few and sitting cold, the Pulao tray was empty ! Overall awful experience! Check pictures out before you go !

Non-veg thali

Omg this was amazing! For some reason I am the only one here at lunch on a Thursday and I don't know why. Decided to try this place after a shopping trip to Patel Brothers. Got the weekday special non-veg thali and ate until I was stuffed They may change the dishes out or not, I don't know. Mine had chili chicken, chicken curry, butter chicken, paneer with peas and I think cauliflower, daal, yogurt, some sort of milky desert that tasted of rose water, 2 pieces naan, and more than enough rice to gobble it all up with. Every single item was delicious. The only downside was they seem to be having some trouble with their fire alarm system, and it went off like three times while I was eating. But the food was good enough that I didn't care and I'm willing to give them a pass on that because mechanical issues happen. Definitely recommend!

The buffet is only available on Friday for $17.95 but on Saturday and Sunday the cost is $21.95. On weekends there is a larger selection.

I cannot say more than all of their food is delicious. The meat is great and fresh, the buffet veggies are tasty, and the extras they offer (sesame balls, spring rolls, etc.) are a nice touch! You can't go wrong with any of the broths, but don't be shy to try the spicy. It is not overwhelming and adds great flavor. The staff is great and always willing to answer any questions. They are quick to refill broth or bring any refills for meats. Perfect for a group or a delightful date. Many happy returns to this favorite!

This one's building looks like a beautiful lodge. While there is an online Yelp waitlist (that goes up to 6 people), we had a party of 8 so I called the restaurant and they were happy to put my name down for a reservation. We came to celebrate my dad's birthday. We brought a cake to share, and when we arrived, our server was gracious enough to store it in the fridge until we were ready. We had 6 adults and 2 kids. Kids under a certain height (I forget the details exactly) are free. So we didn't have to pay for the little ones, and not like toddlers appreciate hot pot anyway. It was more, "how do we make sure they don't touch the pot?!" which went totally fine. It's to position the high chairs the furthest away from the knobs/hot surfaces. On our end of the table, we got the half-half broth of classic marrow and the gold cabbage marrow. The golden marrow was SO GOOD. I would get this again and again, because it's hot/sour; the flavor of pickled cabbage and the spice of Szechuan peppercorns. Our server said the spice builds over time, and it did. It was so flavorful that I barely used my dipping sauce. If you like hot/spicy and sour, choose this broth, it is DELICIOUS. The sauce station and the prepared food buffet was located in the middle-back of the dining area. It's a little packed and cozy in there, especially during the dinner rush, you may need to wait a little longer or keep an eye on the area to determine when to get out of your seat. This same area has self-service personal ice cream cups, soda, additional toppings/veggies/proteins, buffet (fried rice, fried chicken, egg rolls, fried buns) AND the sauce station. What I did love is there was a gentleman who was making balloon animals/hats/characters for sale near the front of the restaurant. He says he does this occasionally when he doesn't have other gigs like parties or weddings, etc, so my kiddo and my niece each got a cat and a bunny, respectively. This made their day! And it was nice for them not to be strapped into a high chair the whole time, and have something to entertain them. Overall, 4 shining stars! It would have been great if they had private and semi-private rooms like the Bridgeport location, but I think this wasn't possible due to their building. It looked like they took over a from a Mangia Bubala Roadhouse (Italian and Jewish fare) which took over from a Connie's Pizza. This place has gone through some changes, but it looks like Happy Lamb will be there for the long-run.

I now realized why there wasn't a current pic of the menu, you order off an ipad, which I like. No waiting for a waitress, or worrying that they got your order right. Was a bit surprised they didn't have more vegetables like wonbok or bean sprouts but it may be out of season since it's winter time. Guess I should've ordered the lettuce and have made lettuce wraps with the meat. The pork belly was great, especially crisped up a bit. Short ribs were very tasty definitely order that. We had a reservation for five people, but one family member was unable to attend due to a last-minute conflict, so we arrived with four. When we checked in, we informed the host of the change. Rather than simply adjusting the reservation, the manager immediately began lecturing us about not calling ahead and told us that if we had notified them earlier, our reservation would have been canceled and we would have been placed on the walk-in waitlist. What made this especially confusing was that we were still honoring our reservation and dining with four guests. We were not canceling, arriving late, or significantly reducing our party size. The change occurred at the last minute, and while we would have called had we known earlier, arriving with four instead of five did not seem like a situation that warranted the response we received. We were then told we would have to wait and were placed on a waitlist despite several open tables, including an empty table already set for four guests. A few minutes later, another table was prepared and we were seated directly next to that same four-person table, which remained empty. Unfortunately, the interaction did not end there. After we were seated, our server informed us that she had been instructed to tell us that making a reservation for five and arriving with four would not be tolerated in the future. At that point, I asked who the manager or owner was and was directed to the same individual who had addressed us when we arrived. To the server's credit, she apologized and explained that she was simply relaying the message she had been told to deliver. By then, however, it was clear that the manager felt it necessary not only to reprimand us personally but also to have the message repeated through our server after we had already been seated. What could have been a simple conversation about reservation expectations instead felt unnecessarily confrontational and embarrassing. To be clear, this review is not about a restaurant's right to establish reservation policies. It is about how those policies are communicated. We never expected special treatment--only courtesy, professionalism, and respect. After four years of dining here and bringing family and friends, we were surprised to be treated this way over a one-person difference in our party size. We chose to leave before ordering and, unfortunately, will not be returning. What makes the experience even harder to understand is that there were multiple open tables visible in the restaurant at the time, including the empty four-person table next to us and several other unoccupied tables. Given the available seating and the fact that we were still dining with four guests, the manager's response felt unnecessarily rigid and entirely out of proportion to the situation
