Shree Indian Cuisine - Lamb Curry with paratha and Palak Paneer with naan

    Shree Indian Cuisine

An amazing, make from scratch, Indian restaurant with longer than expected wait time…read more Read the reviews; everyone who dines here raves about the food. Everything my family and I have ordered is flavorful, filling, and have leftovers. The staff is polite, kind, and helpful. If you want an authentic, you've stumbled upon the right venue. I understand Yelper Christopher O's comment about the high prices (especially the naan; I'd argue should be complementary). Sounds like lunch orders do include some accoutrement; maybe I'll try 'em next time. I identify with Yelper Jeremy S's passion for spice and heat! Similar to a Thai restaurant, you can customize the heat level of many dishes, although I'd argue a standard order is pretty soft on heat. The only side I am mixed about is the paratha. I've been raised on the frozen, supermarket style you toast in a pan and serve. Do not expect the flaky, buttery flatbread with a bit of a toasted crunch. *I DO recognize this is not traditional (I did say 'supermarket' after all), so take my opinion lightly. I WANT to give Shree 5 stars and would on the food alone. After three visits--and myriad excuses why our food was so slow each time--the belated turn around from order to eating is *not* a fluke. Our worst experience was Valentines Day 2025--clocked in at :75 from order to the first dish (an appetizer). I know good food takes time...but my wife suggested next time we order ahead or get takeout. Then again, I've seen patrons at peak meal times sit at the bar for :15+ past takeout delivery time.

Haven't had it so I wasn't sure entirely sure what it was. Was told it doesn't travel well and will be soggy when I get home. Really appreciate that tip. Most places wouldn't care. Got garlic naan instead. They just got their liquor license so I was the first person to have a drink there while I waited for my food Cute space. Very small and parking is terrible. Wish they were in a bigger spot.

I wanted to try the Buffet, to get a feel for the place-the Yelps here said there were lines to get in for the weekend buffet, so I made reservations for one just after opening. When I arrived, the place was almost empty... What can I say? Everything on the buffet was exemplary. A full array of dishes and condiments. I sampled most every item on the board, and I must say the flavors were RAMPAGING! There were about 5 different rice preparations on the board. I tried 3 of them-all great. A good selection of condiments. A few of the dishes were quite spicy-hot, of which I was very glad; however-be advised these dishes were not marked as such. Oddly missing were any sort of Achaar (Indian Pickles). Only possible gripe: all of the proteins were chicken except for one shrimp curry; one usually finds a lamb dish in the mix--then again it was right after opening. Not complaining--the chicken items were all delicious. The only thing I didn't finish was an Idli I had anointed with a sesame sauce, It was ok, but I wished I had hit it with one of the other sauces offered. Plus, it was the last thing on the plate. I was ger-stuffed by then. On a separate board were Pani Puri, and a few desserts (including the BEST Gulab Jamun I've ever had). An almost crisp outer shell with a positively creamy inner. Outstanding. Masala Tea and Mango Lassi were also on the board. I made a foolish faux pas. At the end of the dessert table was a tapped container with a greenish liquid in it, next to the container was a supply of paper cups. Believing it to be a beverage, I took a small sample and sipped. As the spicy savory liquid hit my palate, registering "This is some type of sauce, not a beverage, you IDIOT!", one of the managers standing there (who saw me taking the sip) gently advised it was the sauce for the adjacent Pani Puri. Didn't I feel like a compleat idiot! He kind of laughed at me (deservedly). The sauce was actually delicious, and I dont regret the sip. I assured the manager as much and we had a nice chat. Excellent service throughout. Throwing a well-deserved 5 for bread and circuses. This may be the finest Indian Restaurant I've ever been to. Can't wait to return. Oh, and the place was absolutely packed with Indian folks as I left.

Everything really hit the spot and the dosa system was really nice, you go up to them and say your order and then someone will bring it to your table. They have absolutely no intention to satisfy customers, ambiance is well just tables and chairs with some posters. I have been to many restaurants where food is not that great but the customer service is top notch and for that I give them credit, but at this place they turned out every small request we made for food for our small kid, we didn't ask for anything for free, we asked to customize, which they straight turned down, they have nothing that is kid friendly here. Every dish--except the salad--was spot on: authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The chicken inferno was especially memorable, and the portions were generous. My only suggestion would be for the kachumbar salad to have more vibrant colors and fresher flavors--perhaps beets and carrots instead of the very chewy purple cabbage. I didn't try any of the cocktails, but I did have a glass of cava brut, which was served in a white wine glass and was a very generous pour. This place is truly a gem, and I hope they continue to keep the same recipes and portions because they've got something special here. We will definitely be back!

They have lunch specials, a happy hour, and tea (!) from 2-5, veg or non-veg options, which I'm definitely checking out. If you're vegetarian, items that can be made vegan are clearly marked, and there are more vegan items on the website than I saw on the menu, so I would ask. Most of the French touches appear to be on dishes with meat, though there are flatbreads and a spinach dip, and of course dessert; there is a lot more paneer on the menu than I'm used to, which might be a gesture towards the French love of cheese. Vegans would do best ordering the soya chaap or from the Accompaniments section, which includes classic Indian items (aloo gobi, dal). Overall there are about 8 vegetarian entrees / accompaniments, plus appetizer options. Restaurant serves wine, beer and cocktails in addition to the usual mango lassi, chai and soft drinks. We got a ginger mojito; mango lassi; the corn fritters; the fig/pistachio/paneer flatbread; garlic naan; rice; the soya chaap and a cardamom creme brulee. In general, food had a blend of spices but was mild, which makes sense given the French influence. The corn fritters were nicely spiced with good texture and a tasty sauce. The garlic naan is quite impressive with lots of herbs and garlic. Unless you love soy cutlets, I don't recommend the soya chaap (soy/wheat cutlets in coconut curry sauce); it's fine for what it is - the gravy was delicious and rich - but it's not for me. The flatbread was interesting; the pistachios didn't overwhelm at all but I would have liked more fig to stand up to the paneer. The spouse was impressed with the mojito; the lassi was OK but wasn't as fruity as I like. The cardamom creme brulee is served in a wide ramekin, maximizing the surface area of the sugar crust and making it easily sharable. Instead of permeating the cream, the cardamom seeds provided little bursts of flavor, which was nice but not what I expected. Service was a bit slow but solicitous - we were there on a quiet Sunday night. Copious parking; easy hours; I'll definitely check out the lunch specials and tea when I'm in the mood for local Indian food, heavy on the paneer.
