    Garlic Naan

Yay! So happy I finally found good Indian food near me! Walked in to pick up our order and was greeted with a smile right away. The staff was friendly. Inside was cute and really clean. My friend and I ordered the samosas, butter chicken, and garlic naan. I will have to say this was probably the best I've had in a long time! Every bite of everything was perfect! The butter chicken came with rice and all the food was enough for 2 people. I am looking forward to either eating there next time or order take out again and try out other items on the menu.

Stopped and grabbed some lunch with my dad here. Great lunch special allows you to try two or three of the entrees along with ice and naan bread. The naan is not the best I've had but for the price you can't beat this place. All the dishes are flavorful and the mango lissi are phenomenal!

So delicious! The chicken biryani is to die for. Mango smoothie was delicious and the garlic naan was perfect. So excited to have this addition to wheaton. The food is just phenomenal and the staff was so nice!

This place gives the feel of Fast Food Indian restaurant and smells appetising when you enter the place. We ordered a very basic meal consisting of Yellow Dal, Aloo Jeera, Jeera Rice and Paneer Tikka. The paneer tikka was really delicious but a bit pricey. Dal was normal and comes with a side of plain rice and Jeera Rice was made with Biryani rice. The staff were courteous and the ambience was good.

So I was in the mood for Indian food. and I was in the downtown Wheaton area and found this wonderful place ... I was quite surprised ... It had more of a fast-food carryout vibe ... but don't be fooled. Their dishes were authentic ... One of my favorite Indian dishes is Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken was cooked perfect with a perfect blend of spices ... a little bit sweeter than other places I've had but overall it was delicious. I can't have Chicken Tikka Masala without garlic naan bread ... Chicken Biryani was the next entree, this aromatic dish was bursting with flavors and vibrant color..... Oh my God, I almost forgot..I ordered samosas One of the best ones I've ever had. They were huge, with just enough spice, and just enough heat... .. If I wasn't reeled in with that Biryani you definitely got me, on those samosas.... It was a pleasure to meet the owner who was taking the order. I have nothing but respect for an owner who takes control of the restaurant by being on the front line interacting with the customer... It could have been a little overwhelming for a customer that's not really familiar with Indian dishes and they offer a different concept more of a buffet format..if I'm correct.. that will allow you to try a few different entrees.. I chose to order straight off the menu. It's nice to have the option...... The food was ready in minutes. I would have thought how could it be so good it came up so fast..... But I couldn't had had a tastier dinner had I sat down in an actual high-end Indian restaurant.. Don't pass this restaurant up... ...

Malai kofta and aloo tikki with channa

Spacious place and good customer service. We talked with the owner, very friendly, and sought our feedback. It's spacious and close to Wheaton train station. One of the few Indian restaurants open in the afternoon. Service is good, but all food came at once, so next time, I will ask them to stagger the app and then main. The food is served on the paper plates. Beer glass was plastic. Also, onion and chili are not complimentary. The prices r in line with other indian restaurants, so these options do not feel valuable. Mango Lassi was good, neither super sweet nor super thick consistency. Tried aloo tikki chaat. It felt a little dry for my taste. The owner recommended that next time, ask for chutnies on the side. Laccha paratha and onion kulcha were good. Really liked the Malai kofta. Not big fan of paneer kadai as the curry was not thick for my taste. Curry came with the rice.

Every dish--except the salad--was spot on: authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The chicken inferno was especially memorable, and the portions were generous. My only suggestion would be for the kachumbar salad to have more vibrant colors and fresher flavors--perhaps beets and carrots instead of the very chewy purple cabbage. I didn't try any of the cocktails, but I did have a glass of cava brut, which was served in a white wine glass and was a very generous pour. This place is truly a gem, and I hope they continue to keep the same recipes and portions because they've got something special here. We will definitely be back!

They have lunch specials, a happy hour, and tea (!) from 2-5, veg or non-veg options, which I'm definitely checking out. If you're vegetarian, items that can be made vegan are clearly marked, and there are more vegan items on the website than I saw on the menu, so I would ask. Most of the French touches appear to be on dishes with meat, though there are flatbreads and a spinach dip, and of course dessert; there is a lot more paneer on the menu than I'm used to, which might be a gesture towards the French love of cheese. Vegans would do best ordering the soya chaap or from the Accompaniments section, which includes classic Indian items (aloo gobi, dal). Overall there are about 8 vegetarian entrees / accompaniments, plus appetizer options. Restaurant serves wine, beer and cocktails in addition to the usual mango lassi, chai and soft drinks. We got a ginger mojito; mango lassi; the corn fritters; the fig/pistachio/paneer flatbread; garlic naan; rice; the soya chaap and a cardamom creme brulee. In general, food had a blend of spices but was mild, which makes sense given the French influence. The corn fritters were nicely spiced with good texture and a tasty sauce. The garlic naan is quite impressive with lots of herbs and garlic. Unless you love soy cutlets, I don't recommend the soya chaap (soy/wheat cutlets in coconut curry sauce); it's fine for what it is - the gravy was delicious and rich - but it's not for me. The flatbread was interesting; the pistachios didn't overwhelm at all but I would have liked more fig to stand up to the paneer. The spouse was impressed with the mojito; the lassi was OK but wasn't as fruity as I like. The cardamom creme brulee is served in a wide ramekin, maximizing the surface area of the sugar crust and making it easily sharable. Instead of permeating the cream, the cardamom seeds provided little bursts of flavor, which was nice but not what I expected. Service was a bit slow but solicitous - we were there on a quiet Sunday night. Copious parking; easy hours; I'll definitely check out the lunch specials and tea when I'm in the mood for local Indian food, heavy on the paneer.

Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. I say safe dishes because your average American that walks in, is not going to order something that he/she doesn't know what it is. We ordered chicken 65, kashmiri naan, spinach chicken, kadhai lamb, and tandoori shrimp. Just a FYI, the water bottle(s) that come to your table are $2 each. They're not free. Portion sizes are average. Prices were fair. Service was great and attentive. Usually, there would be parking in the front and back. However, for some reason they were both full and there were barely any customers inside the restaurant. You can also park at the nearby parking garage (top level). A mixture of dried fruits, coconut, and maybe nuts. -spinach chicken 5 - chicken was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. I like that the shrimp are prawn size and they were very tasty.

For mains, we shared Chicken Vindaloo, shrimp curry, Chicken Biryani, Mutter Aloo, and vegetable fried rice, all accompanied by warm, soft, slightly crisp butter naan. Everything was beautifully presented, well prepared, and balanced in spice without overwhelming the palate. And then... the cocktails. I recommend using the naan and rice and eating it with the sauces.
