Top left: butter chicken and rice Bottom: paratha, roti, and malai kofta Top right: chicken saag
Eugene W.

For appetizers, we had an order of samosas. They were very tasty! For entrees, we ordered butter chicken, chicken saag, and malai kofta. The chicken saag was my favorite, but the butter chicken and malai kofta were also DELICIOUS. The chicken was super tender, and all the curries were so flavorful. It was also my first time having malai kofta, and the dumplings were so good. We got paratha, roti, and rice. The roti and paratha were both great. Rice was pretty standard. Finally, we got an order of kheer for dessert. It was very tasty! Sweetness levels were perfect. Ratings: Samosas (8/10) Butter Chicken (7.5/10) Malai Kofta (7/10) Chicken Saag (8/10) Roti (7/10) Paratha (7/10) Kheer (8/10) Service was great. Restaurant was clean. We'll definitely be back.

The food was great and the service was awesome. I loved the decor and the mood the lighting created.

LOVE this place. I wish they would open a location further west. Plino took great care of us and helped us choose just the right spice levels for each of us, 0-10. Definitely get the Taj Mahal beer--a really nice lager. We visited on a weeknight and it was very quiet. Highly recommend--just a few steps from the Wheaton Metra stop.

Qcurrys has a nice, easy to find cornerlocation on Front St. in Wheaton. I ordered the Vegetable Samosa appetizer, garlic naan, Chicken Vindaloo, and Aloo Zeera, along with a mango shake. Everything was delicious. The portion sizes were good, the pricing reasonable, and the service was prompt and professional. It is also a very nice and clean dine-in spot. The samosas were especially a standout - very large, crisp where you want it to be crisp, and soft where you want it to be soft. Tamarind and mint sauces were very good as well. I over - ordered intentionally because this restaurant is a fairly lengthy drive from my house, so I wanted to try out a couple of things. I took much of the tasty Aloo Zeera to go, and enjoyed it the next morning, along with some naan which I turned into naan avocado toast. I highly recommend and will return in the near future.

Yay! So happy I finally found good Indian food near me! Walked in to pick up our order and was greeted with a smile right away. The staff was friendly. Inside was cute and really clean. My friend and I ordered the samosas, butter chicken, and garlic naan. I will have to say this was probably the best I've had in a long time! Every bite of everything was perfect! The butter chicken came with rice and all the food was enough for 2 people. I am looking forward to either eating there next time or order take out again and try out other items on the menu.

Stopped and grabbed some lunch with my dad here. Great lunch special allows you to try two or three of the entrees along with ice and naan bread. The naan is not the best I've had but for the price you can't beat this place. All the dishes are flavorful and the mango lissi are phenomenal!

This place gives the feel of Fast Food Indian restaurant and smells appetising when you enter the place. We ordered a very basic meal consisting of Yellow Dal, Aloo Jeera, Jeera Rice and Paneer Tikka. The paneer tikka was really delicious but a bit pricey. Dal was normal and comes with a side of plain rice and Jeera Rice was made with Biryani rice. The staff were courteous and the ambience was good.

Malai kofta and aloo tikki with channa

Spacious place and good customer service. We talked with the owner, very friendly, and sought our feedback. It's spacious and close to Wheaton train station. One of the few Indian restaurants open in the afternoon. Service is good, but all food came at once, so next time, I will ask them to stagger the app and then main. The food is served on the paper plates. Beer glass was plastic. Also, onion and chili are not complimentary. The prices r in line with other indian restaurants, so these options do not feel valuable. Mango Lassi was good, neither super sweet nor super thick consistency. Tried aloo tikki chaat. It felt a little dry for my taste. The owner recommended that next time, ask for chutnies on the side. Laccha paratha and onion kulcha were good. Really liked the Malai kofta. Not big fan of paneer kadai as the curry was not thick for my taste. Curry came with the rice.

Chicken Biryani

So delicious! The chicken biryani is to die for. Mango smoothie was delicious and the garlic naan was perfect. So excited to have this addition to wheaton. The food is just phenomenal and the staff was so nice!

So I was in the mood for Indian food. and I was in the downtown Wheaton area and found this wonderful place ... I was quite surprised ... It had more of a fast-food carryout vibe ... but don't be fooled. Their dishes were authentic ... One of my favorite Indian dishes is Chicken Tikka Masala. Chicken was cooked perfect with a perfect blend of spices ... a little bit sweeter than other places I've had but overall it was delicious. I can't have Chicken Tikka Masala without garlic naan bread ... Chicken Biryani was the next entree, this aromatic dish was bursting with flavors and vibrant color..... Oh my God, I almost forgot..I ordered samosas One of the best ones I've ever had. They were huge, with just enough spice, and just enough heat... .. If I wasn't reeled in with that Biryani you definitely got me, on those samosas.... It was a pleasure to meet the owner who was taking the order. I have nothing but respect for an owner who takes control of the restaurant by being on the front line interacting with the customer... It could have been a little overwhelming for a customer that's not really familiar with Indian dishes and they offer a different concept more of a buffet format..if I'm correct.. that will allow you to try a few different entrees.. I chose to order straight off the menu. It's nice to have the option...... The food was ready in minutes. I would have thought how could it be so good it came up so fast..... But I couldn't had had a tastier dinner had I sat down in an actual high-end Indian restaurant.. Don't pass this restaurant up... ...

Really glad I tried it. I tried stopping by one day when they'd been opened fewer than two hours I…read morethink but was out of luck; they were sold out. So I came by one Sunday before opening and was surprised that there were only about five people ahead of me in line shortly before they opened. They threw the doors wide open precisely at noon. Asa, the proprietor, clearly has a passion for the work she does. She's a bit of a cross between a poet and a pastry chef--check out the descriptions she writes of her pies if you don't believe me! Each slice is unlike any pie I've ever tasted. She had a pie with fig, and that was the closest to a conventional pie she had (if you can call it that--as I said, I find it hard to describe her offerings). All were creamy, decadent, and unique in the true sense of the word. Her crusts were amazing. Also unique is the way she runs her business. She is based out of a little counter in the Poke San that's on the corner of Wells & Huron. The hours she keeps are minimal. And it's a total of two people--her father, who takes payment, and her. Her passion comes out in the care that she takes with each slice: She bakes the pies, of course, but then she adorns them upon ordering. You will wait several minutes once you've ordered your slice, and if you are in line you will be waiting for a while depending upon your place (being 5th or 6th in line, I was finished about 15-20 minutes after the shop opened). It's clear she sees this as artistic expression, and honestly that is plain to see in how she finishes each slice: A brûlée'd top on this one (caramelized whilst you watch), decorating that one with local--real--flowers. It's an experience and if you like to try new things, or just taste something that is fairly unlike other local offerings, you should consider giving it a try before she moves on to new ventures.

The slice of pie was incredible and this is my new favorite dessert spot. It is quite pricey ($14…read morefor a singular slice), but a more special occasion type of pastry treat. Got the second one which is creamy cinnamon flavor with a brûléed top. There's some poured rice and cinnamon crème fraiche on the top. It wasn't overly sweet (huge compliment), and the crust was very flaky. How it works: -you can order at the window and there's little menus that are handwritten with the four pie options -the base pie is already done, and she will finish and add the decorations and toppings after you order Packaging is beautiful and very high end. Service was very fast (no one in line on a Sunday afternoon). Definitely will be back!

A friend and I stopped in on a Thursday night and it was at full capacity. It was nice to see that this place continues to do well. We decided to sit at the bar and were greeted right away. Service throughout was fast and our bartender was the perfect amount of attentive. The drinks were pretty good. I felt like their cocktails overall were missing something. I had the smoked manhattan and the club level access. Again, both good - but missing something to make it great. The food was hit or miss. We shared a side salad, chicken boas, arancini and the chicken adobo. The side salad was standard - veggies were a must for us so we enjoyed that. The arancini was a miss. The rice was soggy and overall this dish was not the consistency that true arancini is. The chicken boas were pretty good. This is the 1 dish I probably would get again from here. The chicken adobo was tasty. I felt like it was also missing something to make it great, but still a decent dish.

Curry A La Flambe definitely knows how to turn dinner into a bit of a show…read more We started with dishes like the corn fritters and loaded banana peppers before getting into the Mango Habanero Paneer Flambé, which comes with the tableside flambé presentation. It's obviously fun to watch, but thankfully there's good food behind the theatrics too. For mains we tried the malai kofta, palak paneer and dal makhni along with jalapeño naan and onion-pine nut pilaf. There's a lot here for vegetarians, which made it easy to order several dishes for the table and share. The restaurant has a polished, energetic ambience, and the tableside presentations make the experience feel more special than a standard Indian dinner. We finished with mango kulfi and an unexpectedly excellent chocolate tart, which may have been the surprise of the night. Every dish--except the salad--was spot on: authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The chicken inferno was especially memorable, and the portions were generous. My only suggestion would be for the kachumbar salad to have more vibrant colors and fresher flavors--perhaps beets and carrots instead of the very chewy purple cabbage. I didn't try any of the cocktails, but I did have a glass of cava brut, which was served in a white wine glass and was a very generous pour. This place is truly a gem, and I hope they continue to keep the same recipes and portions because they've got something special here. We will definitely be back!
