Met them at a Noon Whistle pop up. Loved the oysters and the sauce acotraments. The Connecticut lobster role was delish with chunks of lobster and yummy bread. Great guys. Rooting for them and will keep an eye out for them.

    Crawfish Broil

This place is soooooo good! My sister in law ordered the crawfish broil for 4 for us as our New Year's Eve celebration dinner. There are 3 adults and 2 kids in our home. We all ate till we couldn't stand and there is still a ton of food left over! Great value, great packaging, great service. Would highly recommend and would patronize again!

Crab and lobster boil. For 4.

They were at Harbor Brewing and had oysters and a CT lobster roll. They were both great. Wish they had a brick and mortar in Lake Villa.

Great place for seafood boil! I was craving a spot that does seafood boils/ seafood by the pound. A…read morelong time ago, in my mid to late 20s era, we would order seafood boil for Father's Day so this was very nostalgic for me. I've seen the sign for Sea Shack from Route 59 and finally got to try it when my sister was visiting Naperville. I called in an order and it was ready in 15 minutes. What we ordered for 3 adults: 1 lb peeled shrimp, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb black mussels, mild, + corn + potatoes 1 lb clams, mild 1 corn on the side 1 sausage on the side onion rings chicken tenders and fries 2 orders of rice We had plenty of food and enough for leftovers. My favorite part might be the cajun butter sauce with white rice... even more than the seafood. I love white rice with basically any sauce. The food was fresh, the sauce was mild as requested, still flavorful and not too salty. If you order the clams on its own, no sides, the bag might seem a little small but that's just because the clam meat is so small. For takeout, your seafood will come double bagged so it was leak proof. We decided to empty the bags into bowls since we were doing family style, and it was a hearty meal. I can't comment on the ambiance since it was a takeout order, but we enjoyed our food. We'll be back!

Crab legs: very good Green Mussels: amazing better than the crab legs Crawfish: this was pretty good Cajun pasta: this was good and we got this spicy with shrimp.

But the down side is that the place was dead on a Friday night, unsure if this is an indicator to an out of towner that the place is on the down slide - steak was under seasoned (10 oz filet) and appeared to be a fabricated filet. The venue Wasn't too crowded which was a plus. I decided to have dinner with reservations @3pm with the App OpenTable. On time for my reservation with no wait time! Seated immediately, I was excited to have my waitress named Arielle. Immediately, she accompanied me with complimentary bread and water along with the restaurant cocktail and food menus. She was very happy to be able help in any way to make me comfortable and was just a joy to have. My first course was the Iceberg wedge BLT, with my cocktail smoked old fashioned. For the second course I spoiled myself with the filet medallions with lobster tail Oscar style accompaniment sides; truffled mac&cheese, and crab fried rice with mushrooms and scallions. Sheeeshh! That meal was phenomenal! Lobster sat perfectly on top of the beef medallions as they both were served and with gratitude I ate every bit of it! Truffled Mac & cheese were so cheesy it was a perfect mouthful. The rice also had some delicious flavors that enticed my tastebuds with savory goodness! Everything was GOODT! Easter Sunday with great food, good company, and dope service ! Check em out!

We've been here twice and…read morethe first time we came at an off time and got seated right away because we were told to seat ourselves. The second time, it was Monday when the oysters are $1.25 and we weren't acknowledged, so we decided to seat ourselves at an open table we saw just to be told to wait and that someone would be with us....we stood at the counter waiting for a good 5 minutes and no one came to us so we sat on the bench in the front for what felt like 15-20 minutes. Finally, someone came just as I was getting ready to pick another place for dinner. Based on that wait time to get seated, we were smart enough to put in everything we wanted to order for our meal since we knew it would take a while to get someone's attention again. I like coming to Shuckin' because of that oyster deal and everyone else might have the same idea which is why they were so busy. Minus the wait and mid service, what brings up the rating for me is their food. Everything I've gotten here is pretty good and I haven't gotten anything yet that I didn't like.

The last couple of times I've eaten there the food has come out suspiciously quick. Tonight I ordered a 1/2 pound of boiled shrimp with an order of fries. They were both just lukewarm and the shrimp was overcooked, which is what I've noticed before as if they were both precooked and dumped on my plate when ordered. I want to continue supporting them but it is becoming increasingly difficult to do so.
