Wallace is a rare combination of the highest quality product, convenience and affordability. Their website is simple to navigate and order from, while the monthly pick up as quick and easy as it gets, you're in and out in 30 seconds. The products, well I don't know where to begin. Everything I have purchased from them has been excellent (and there has been a lot). I have purged my kitchen of any grocery store bought meat and have switched solely to Wallace. Their meat comes vacuum sealed and frozen, which has resulted in my freezer being stocked to the brim with grassfed, organic and ethically raised meat. I challenge you to find a better steak in the city at any price, let alone the prices they charge. For a similar cut at these price points, you're probably looking at a styrofoam tray with a gray piece of meat on it from your local supermarket.

I've been shopping there regularly for the past 6 months, and the fresh fish is excellent. I especially like their selections of salmon, white fish, shrimp & scallops. I picked a pork item to take home and try. When I got home and started to thaw it out, I noticed that the item I purchased had expired 1 1/2 months before the purchase date. This was a use by date, not a purchase by date, so it had no shelf life. I thought any establishment would be embarrassed to sell a product 1 1/2 months after the expiration date. Now here's the problem. The Glenview store is 40 minutes from me. I am much closer to the Mt. Prospect store and I was under the impression that the Wild Fork sign on both stores means that they would both back up product sold by the Wild Fork corporation. Well Mt. Prospect wouldn't help me in any way since I did not buy the item there. Don't give me the "franchise" excuse. If Wild Fork can't figure out how to stand behind their product, no matter which location, I have no reason to ever set foot in any of their stores again.

When it first opened, it was great to see how bright and clean it was and to see all of the incredible stacked foods and items. What has been good is that they really expanded some of the seating area as well as the seafood city Grill area and the food offerings. However even this is slightly inconsistent as far as what's available when it's open, etc. It's also great that this particular location also is able to build out some of the other additional vendors like the bakery by Valerio. Again, though, I wish there was a little bit more consistency and organization throughout. Parking lot is has been quite ample except during peak times. I really wish they would open one in the suburbs as well.
