First time at the Imperial Kitchen to meet my brother's girlfriend's mother! The restaurant is lit very well with Christmas lights which really catered to Holidays. Customer service is decent. The food low key lacked flavor I think they should go heavy on the spices and not shy away from the Indian masala's! The dosa was good tho and the Achari Fish as well :)

Nice Indian option on the north side of Plainfield. Enjoyed the weekday buffet, plentiful of options to choose from. Our favorite was the Murch Mali Kabab and Chicken Biryani. You also can't go wrong with the mango desert. Nan was served fresh and service was good. Restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Thank you

I'm am thrilled to finally have a decent Indian buffet open semi close to me. I had to drive thirty minutes to get there, but totally worth it! The restaurant is clean and well designed. The buffet dishes are beautiful. I love that they are covered and the lid holder right over them is such a great idea! The food stays warm and doesn't dry out or stay exposed. Great idea and so beautiful! The food was wonderful as well, great tasting and a large assortment of dishes to choose from. We went on a weekday and there were several vegetarian and chicken options. Naan and chicken tandoori were brought to the table by the very attentive waitstaff. They were super friendly and very accommodating. My niece loves naan and basically inhaled basket after basket, and they just kept bring her fresh naan. Such nice people! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Not salty or over spiced. The chef knows what they are doing! The lunch buffet during the week is only $14, and on the weekends $18! Totally worth it! I have a few Indian buffets closer to me (Downers Grove), but this is by far the best I've had since Covid, and it's worth the drive for the variety, value, and experience!

Everything my family and I have ordered is flavorful, filling, and have leftovers. The staff is polite, kind, and helpful. If you want an authentic, you've stumbled upon the right venue. I understand Yelper Christopher O's comment about the high prices (especially the naan; I'd argue should be complementary). Sounds like lunch orders do include some accoutrement; maybe I'll try 'em next time. I identify with Yelper Jeremy S's passion for spice and heat! Similar to a Thai restaurant, you can customize the heat level of many dishes, although I'd argue a standard order is pretty soft on heat. The only side I am mixed about is the paratha. I've been raised on the frozen, supermarket style you toast in a pan and serve. Do not expect the flaky, buttery flatbread with a bit of a toasted crunch. *I DO recognize this is not traditional (I did say 'supermarket' after all), so take my opinion lightly. I WANT to give Shree 5 stars and would on the food alone. After three visits--and myriad excuses why our food was so slow each time--the belated turn around from order to eating is *not* a fluke. I know good food takes time...but my wife suggested next time we order ahead or get takeout. Then again, I've seen patrons at peak meal times sit at the bar for :15+ past takeout delivery time.

I wanted to try the Buffet, to get a feel for the place-the Yelps here said there were lines to get in for the weekend buffet, so I made reservations for one just after opening. When I arrived, the place was almost empty... What can I say? Everything on the buffet was exemplary. A full array of dishes and condiments. I sampled most every item on the board, and I must say the flavors were RAMPAGING! There were about 5 different rice preparations on the board. I tried 3 of them-all great. A good selection of condiments. A few of the dishes were quite spicy-hot, of which I was very glad; however-be advised these dishes were not marked as such. Oddly missing were any sort of Achaar (Indian Pickles). Only possible gripe: all of the proteins were chicken except for one shrimp curry; one usually finds a lamb dish in the mix--then again it was right after opening. Not complaining--the chicken items were all delicious. The only thing I didn't finish was an Idli I had anointed with a sesame sauce, It was ok, but I wished I had hit it with one of the other sauces offered. Plus, it was the last thing on the plate. I was ger-stuffed by then. On a separate board were Pani Puri, and a few desserts (including the BEST Gulab Jamun I've ever had). An almost crisp outer shell with a positively creamy inner. Outstanding. Masala Tea and Mango Lassi were also on the board. I made a foolish faux pas. At the end of the dessert table was a tapped container with a greenish liquid in it, next to the container was a supply of paper cups. Believing it to be a beverage, I took a small sample and sipped. As the spicy savory liquid hit my palate, registering "This is some type of sauce, not a beverage, you IDIOT!", one of the managers standing there (who saw me taking the sip) gently advised it was the sauce for the adjacent Pani Puri. Didn't I feel like a compleat idiot! He kind of laughed at me (deservedly). The sauce was actually delicious, and I dont regret the sip. I assured the manager as much and we had a nice chat. Excellent service throughout. Throwing a well-deserved 5 for bread and circuses. This may be the finest Indian Restaurant I've ever been to. Can't wait to return. When I look at the menu, I try to look for dishes that I've never had. I know our waiter suggested butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, but those are the most popular safe dishes for non Indians. I say safe dishes because your average American that walks in, is not going to order something that he/she doesn't know what it is. We ordered chicken 65, kashmiri naan, spinach chicken, kadhai lamb, and tandoori shrimp. Just a FYI, the water bottle(s) that come to your table are $2 each. They're not free. Portion sizes are average. Prices were fair. Service was great and attentive. Usually, there would be parking in the front and back. However, for some reason they were both full and there were barely any customers inside the restaurant. You can also park at the nearby parking garage (top level). That's a 2 min walk. -chicken 65 5 - this reminds me of a Chinese dish but I can't remember. I'm talking about the texture when you're eating it. As an Indian appetizer, it was delicious and would pair well with rice. Very addicting to eat. -kashmiri naan 5 - it has a mild sweet taste that is good with savory dishes. A mixture of dried fruits, coconut, and maybe nuts. -spinach chicken 5 - chicken was very tender and the sauce was flavorful. Very safe dish to eat if you're not that adventurous. -kadhai lamb 5 - the sauce has a more bold flavor than the spinach chicken. This restaurant is located on Hassert & Route 59 in Naperville, and although they've been in business for some time, I'm stunned that I'm the first to review them on Yelp. The chicken tikka masala ($15) and butter chicken ($15) are equally good, but never labeled--the yellow one is distinctly spicier and uses large chunks of white meat, while the red one is sweeter with strips of chicken. According to Google AI, however, butter chicken is milder and creamier, whereas chicken tikka masala uses more spices and has a reddish color. We still have no idea. Garlic naan ($3.50) is perfect for mopping up leftover sauce, and they're kind enough to include a small bucket of rice with each entrée. Some places have the stones to charge you for plain white rice, even though it's absurdly cheap, so I'm glad that Kababish doesn't play those games. My wife also usually orders a mango lassi ($5), a yogurt-based drink with cardamom. We've typically ordered through Grubhub, UberEats, or Doordash (with the occasional in-person pickup), but the few interactions I've had with the guy at the carryout counter have been friendly. * TL;DR * This unassuming spot in Naperville has some of the tastiest tikka masala out there. For a while, we went to Sara's Indian but when we realized they were ripping us off (white rice was extra), we started giving our business to Kababish and haven't looked back. Sometimes the spiciness level of the butter chicken changes, but the deliciousness doesn't. The Indian food here is tops, they've made us lifelong customers! Highly recommended.
