It looks like the menu has changed again, which is a bit disappointing since we enjoyed the previous dishes that are no longer available. Everything we ordered was still good, just that we miss the other options. We had scallop, beef with tomato, and salted egg pumpkin. Our favorite dish was the pumpkin. Service is still excellent, and the restaurant decor is the same-taking us back to 80s or 90s classic Taiwan.

We went around 12:30pm and there were people waiting. The lady that checked us in said it was a 30 minute wait with 2 parties ahead of us. As we were waiting, we noticed that 4-5 tables were done eating and paid their bills. All got up and left, the staff quickly cleaned the tables. The cleaned tables were empty for another 15 minutes. The lady that took our names down took a while to call the next customers. Seems like we were waiting just to wait...she sat one party down and waited another 10 minute to sit the next group... anyways, after we waited for a good 40 minutes, we were finally called to be seated. Sat down and was immediately served with water and took our order down. Time for the food review: Chicken popcorn - nice crisp and texture, but lacking flavor. Felt like it needed a dipping sauce. Pork lard rice - disappointing, bland Pork intestine with green mustard - this dish was okay.. Crispy garlic salted fish - fish was nicely fried and flavor was good. Probably the best dish so far Crispy pork chop - this is the reason why we came here.. we wanted to find a dish like May Ice cream. Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. The pork chop was extremely salted. From the skin to the pork itself. Walnut shrimp - this dish was foul. Who puts sprinkles on the side?! Tasted like I was eating an ice cream shop. The shrimp was also dry. Overall, not worth going and waiting. Food was lacking.

FYI the old reviews are for a previous restaurant or different location, unsure. This review is for Imperial Feast which opened August 2025 next to z.Tao in Plano. Came during the soft opening in September 2025 with excited expectations based on what we've heard, hoping to find a new go to Taiwanese spot. Unfortunately we didn't find what we were looking for. I admit this was the soft opening and things may improve, and for their sake I hope they do. Biggest issues for us were lack of flavor in the meat and multiple proteins being overcooked. The sauces they used had the flavor but it seems like the meat just wasn't given the time to marinate because the meat itself was bland. That coupled with proteins being a bit dry from being overcooked and you don't have a good combo. If they can tweak their prep process to let the meat marinate then it would solve most of the problems though. The best dish was the fried pork chop rice by far. A bit on the sweeter side so it just depends on how you like it. The bok choy it came with was basically raw though had more crunch than the pork chop. Service was also a mixed bag. The server was super nice and helped give us recs but it just seemed like they were still getting the hang of working in a restaurant. A glass of water got some food in it so the server took it away but they never brought us a new one. Again, soft opening so I give that some grace, but food has to be more on point for a new restaurant to make it. So all in all, there are definitely some kinks to work through for them. Normally I wouldn't write a review for soft opening but given that there are old reviews here plus food quality missed the mark more than I think it should've, I think people on Yelp should get a heads up.

Out of all the new restaurants I've tried lately, Imperial Feast has definitely been my favorite! The crispy fish with rice was the best I've ever had, and I've ordered that dish at plenty of places. The steak with noodles was also spot on; I ordered it medium-well, and the meat was still tender and flavorful. The lady at the front and our waitress were both so friendly, and the overall vibe was great. It was packed on Saturday night, but we were seated right away. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

I just tried the new location in Plano. The night market steak is more expensive, and they use a thicker steak now. They cooked my steak to medium perfectly and it was delicious. I really liked the sauce coating the noodles. I wish there were more noodles though. I also liked the egg and bok choy. This meal is such a great fusion dish.

I didn't realize until I read the reviews that this place used to be Mei Wei in Carrollton! It's a little confusing because a lot of the pictures and reviews are for the old place. They still serve Taiwanese food, but their menu looks different. **I was also told that they have a different menu and that they only serve bar food from 9pm-2am, so do not expect the regular menu at that time. Service seemed decent, after being seated quickly we were approached by someone who was likely the manager asking if it's our first time here and she gave us recommendations. Food: - fried pork chop rice: crispiness of the pork was great and there was some fat to make it tasty as well, my friend mentioned the cooking wine flavor was a little too overpowering for her. The rice was also hard and clumpy (which I did not notice for my own dish) - crispy garlic fish: probably my favorite dish, this was really good! No complaints, would order again - basil chicken: also written as three cup chicken in Chinese, also quite good. The chicken was tender and the flavor of the chicken was good, was not too salty. Overall as you can see from the pictures the portions were decent, would not say they are small at all and I would not say it is too expensive.

I have been coming to this establishment for its previous two incarnations and I'm glad to see it's now back with a full restaurant. It's really good as long as you know what to order. I LOVE the crispy garlic salt fish fillets. I always order the intestines and sour greens and love them though I know that can be an acquired taste. Today I also ordered the stewed pork hock and it was amazing. Fall off the bone and melt in your mouth soft. I will make it a point to come here every time I'm in town

Food****// ordered fried chicken rice and fried tofu, the fried tofu was awesome and so as the chicken leg. They also have dessert so I ordered grass jelly drink- I should've do half sweet but overall was very nice Service****// it's counter ordering no table service but waitress was nice and polite unlike a normal Chinese restaurant loll Ambience***// it's small and kind of oddly floor plan but still able to find a spot for myself.

I'm Taiwanese & this place had so many classics! I got the pork chop rice & it was super crispy & flavorful. My SIL got a braised tofu dish that was pretty classic flavors too. Portions were generous. Also love that they have shaved ice & tofu desserts. We got one of the grass jelly series & the toppings were generous although there wasn't that much ice. The food arrived super quickly. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the big 99 Ranch lot.

Delicious array of Taiwanese comfort foods. Came here based on reviews - expected it to be grittier - pleasantly surprised by the number of tables (it's small) - the food is amazing! And service is friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and get a buzzer for when your dishes are ready. You get your own bowls, utensils, water, and bus your own trays. We had the popcorn chicken and the fried squid tentacles which were done right with the basil and flavorings (could have made the chicken pieces a tad smaller), the XO vegetables, the basil chicken/3 cup chicken and the combo fried noodles. Yummy! No room for dessert this time tho we'll be back as they have an extensive menu for desserts too!

Casual Taiwanese eatery with fair prices and good portions! Quick and friendly service, good food, and they have grass jelly desserts too.

Decent Taiwanese steak and pork chop! Reminds me a little of home. Reasonably priced. Order from the counter and a buzzer buzzes when ready!

The food was so good, I came back twice in one week! I love taro balls shave ice and it's so hard to find besides meet fresh (far in Plano). Their basil chicken was also bomb! There's bone in it so be careful. I don't think they have boneless version but I wish they did! Love this place

My friend recommended this on his list of Irish Pubs around here, so I decided to give it a try. For a strip mall Irish Pub, it does take you into another world. Cool entrance that opens up to a horseshoe bar with tons of tables and booths. It was Trivia night, so they only had the Stanley Cup playoff on one TV. Sat down at the bar and ordered my Guinness and reviewed the menu. There were a couple of selections I was interested in (always gravitate to Bangers n' Mash), but went with the fish & chips with French Onion soup. Get these together, because the fish is delicious in the beef broth of the French Onion! It was good, though fish could've used a little more batter with the thick walleye filets. I loved it all and enjoyed the conversation with the bartender with the I Love Indie Horror hat. Some good ones out there that aren't being made like they use to!!

After we paid our bill with a credit card, I noticed that we were charged a 3% credit card fee. That was a first, and likely began in April since our last visit was on 3/24/26 and no credit card fee was assessed. Nowhere on the menu was it mentioned there would be a credit card fee, nor was it articulated by a bartender. That sort of fee makes me wonder what's going on in this establishment. Not sure we'll be back.

We decided on a high-top towards the end of the bar since the Colts were being shown there. As for the interior, it's a typical sports bar setting with copious amounts of seating and tvs with your standard bar foods menu and plenty of beers and branded spirits available for order. We stuck with the miller lite which was pretty cheap and they always made sure it was full when we finished the previous one. As for food, I decided on wings with a jalapeno peach and the dirty jerk dry flavors. No issues with taste; the jalapeno peach is a solid one with a good blend of spice and sweetness. I'm a bit disappointed that for 10 wings, only 9 came with my order and when I mentioned it to our server/bartender, it went ignored. He probably didn't hear me bring it up since more people started coming in and the place was getting full. I should've brought it up again but likely got distracted by my team's lousy performance. I'm open to coming back here again. While this place is like any other sports bar, the affordable beers and that jalapeno peach flavors shouldn't be ignored.

Every single one was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had the chicken sandwich with mango habanero, pickles, and coleslaw (can't remember the name, but WOW--it was incredible). The balance of sweet, heat, and crunch was perfect. I ordered the mango habanero mixed sauces in the side and used them as a dipper just to control the heat just in case since it was my first time trying it. For drinks, I had the Crackberry cider and my husband had the Mango Cart--both were great choices. Our waitress, Aureli, was so sweet and attentive. And when her shift ended, Oryn (the bartender) took over seamlessly and made sure we were still taken care of--top-tier service all around. Oryn was the highlight of our visit. Just a solid, friendly and respectful dude with a great personality. The vibe is everything--90s R&B, chill atmosphere, sports on all the TVs. It's the perfect mix of sports bar energy with a laid-back, welcoming feel. We even met the owner, Chris, which made the experience feel even more personal. We also found out they do music bingo on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM, which we're definitely coming back for. Great food, great drinks, amazing service, and an all-around awesome vibe. 5 stars all the way!
