It looks like the menu has changed again, which is a bit disappointing since we enjoyed the previous dishes that are no longer available. Everything we ordered was still good, just that we miss the other options. We had scallop, beef with tomato, and salted egg pumpkin. Our favorite dish was the pumpkin. Service is still excellent, and the restaurant decor is the same-taking us back to 80s or 90s classic Taiwan.

Very delicious and pretty authentic Taiwanese food. Now if they serve stinky tofu and oyster ramen that would be awesome.

I was in town visiting some family and wanted to stop by this new spot in Plano since it was open for late nights during the Thanksgiving weekend. The hours are great for late night drinks and dinner, and service was very attentive and recommended some great bar food choices! Highly recommend the popcorn chicken, it was made with dark meat and had an extra crunch packed full of flavor. The ambiance was vintage and lux, perfect for a date night with some Vietnamese tunes that definitely sets the mood!

I'm Taiwanese and I was delighted that I found this authentic Taiwanese place! I got night market steak with noodles skillet, and it's very delicious. It had the usual black pepper sauce on the steak, and the steak was tender and not too dry. The noodles were okay. I wish they could use the oil noodles/chow mein noodles. There are several other Asian restaurants as well as boba shop nearby so I'd love to come to this area again to try other food.

Out of all the new restaurants I've tried lately, Imperial Feast has definitely been my favorite! The crispy fish with rice was the best I've ever had, and I've ordered that dish at plenty of places. The steak with noodles was also spot on; I ordered it medium-well, and the meat was still tender and flavorful. The lady at the front and our waitress were both so friendly, and the overall vibe was great. It was packed on Saturday night, but we were seated right away. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

I just tried the new location in Plano. The night market steak is more expensive, and they use a thicker steak now. They cooked my steak to medium perfectly and it was delicious. I really liked the sauce coating the noodles. I wish there were more noodles though. I also liked the egg and bok choy. This meal is such a great fusion dish.

I didn't realize until I read the reviews that this place used to be Mei Wei in Carrollton! It's a little confusing because a lot of the pictures and reviews are for the old place. They still serve Taiwanese food, but their menu looks different. **I was also told that they have a different menu and that they only serve bar food from 9pm-2am, so do not expect the regular menu at that time. Service seemed decent, after being seated quickly we were approached by someone who was likely the manager asking if it's our first time here and she gave us recommendations. Food: - fried pork chop rice: crispiness of the pork was great and there was some fat to make it tasty as well, my friend mentioned the cooking wine flavor was a little too overpowering for her. The rice was also hard and clumpy (which I did not notice for my own dish) - crispy garlic fish: probably my favorite dish, this was really good! No complaints, would order again - basil chicken: also written as three cup chicken in Chinese, also quite good. The chicken was tender and the flavor of the chicken was good, was not too salty. Overall as you can see from the pictures the portions were decent, would not say they are small at all and I would not say it is too expensive.

I have been coming to this establishment for its previous two incarnations and I'm glad to see it's now back with a full restaurant. It's really good as long as you know what to order. I LOVE the crispy garlic salt fish fillets. I always order the intestines and sour greens and love them though I know that can be an acquired taste. Today I also ordered the stewed pork hock and it was amazing. Fall off the bone and melt in your mouth soft. I will make it a point to come here every time I'm in town

They also have dessert so I ordered grass jelly drink- I should've do half sweet but overall was very nice Service****// it's counter ordering no table service but waitress was nice and polite unlike a normal Chinese restaurant loll Ambience***// it's small and kind of oddly floor plan but still able to find a spot for myself.

Taiwan small eats with BIG flavor. Friendly workers and a simple restaurant for a quick lunch or a family dinner. It's a bit cramped at the entrance but you order up at the counter. Feel free to look over the menu at your table. They will bring your food to you but if they're busy you may need to self serve and grab utensils yourselves at the side station. A8 - Crispy Garlic Fish Filet (with rice or noodle) $12.95 WOW, I love a good fried fish and this was the best fry I've had in a while. It's light and fluffy with a delicate fish inside. So flavorful dusted with 5 spice powder, fried minced garlic and chilis and green onions. Portion is huge (8 pieces!) for a great deal. It comes with pickled daikon radish and braised egg. B7 - fried braised chicken leg $7.95 So juicy and crispy with 5 spice powder, can't go wrong and so filling. Can be a snacks appetizer or even a meal for some. The meat is thick and juicy. B2 - deep fried tofu $6.95 Fried tofu with basil leaves, fun snack and delicious! The tofu is soft inside. A11 - Braised beef brisket (with rice or noodle) $14.95 HUGE portion, beef brisket is tender and juicy packed with flavor. The radish and carrots were soft and braised well too. It also comes with seaweed salad and peanuts which were a great pairing. Honestly can't find a lot of good Taiwanese food in DFW (I mean... other than my mom's house). Highly recommend giving this place a try! Also, save some room for dessert, the grass jelly and soft tofu (do hua) is so good. It's 三圓台式甜品

I'm Taiwanese & this place had so many classics! I got the pork chop rice & it was super crispy & flavorful. My SIL got a braised tofu dish that was pretty classic flavors too. Portions were generous. Also love that they have shaved ice & tofu desserts. We got one of the grass jelly series & the toppings were generous although there wasn't that much ice. The food arrived super quickly. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the big 99 Ranch lot.

Delicious array of Taiwanese comfort foods. Came here based on reviews - expected it to be grittier - pleasantly surprised by the number of tables (it's small) - the food is amazing! And service is friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and get a buzzer for when your dishes are ready. You get your own bowls, utensils, water, and bus your own trays. We had the popcorn chicken and the fried squid tentacles which were done right with the basil and flavorings (could have made the chicken pieces a tad smaller), the XO vegetables, the basil chicken/3 cup chicken and the combo fried noodles. Yummy! No room for dessert this time tho we'll be back as they have an extensive menu for desserts too!

Casual Taiwanese eatery with fair prices and good portions! Quick and friendly service, good food, and they have grass jelly desserts too.

The bar is lit in a way that makes you want to stay and chat. We dropped in on a Sunday with one very important mission: splurge on dessert lol. FYI.. If you haven't tried Haywire's Chipolte Chocolate Cake, Whiskey Bread Pudding or their famous Pecan Pie, you're missing out. No lie! There was one big problem. They were completely booked. Inside was full. Outside patios and bar area -- all full. Apparently everyone had Sunday plans to eat at Haywire. Yes, its that great. But instead of turning us away, management thought outside the box and put us in a tent. That's what I call real customer service! This was a new exciting experience for all of us. Third floor rooftop area, seated us in one of Haywire's private canvas tents. These are not camping tents, think Texas glamping lol. Private dining space. Climate controlled. Cozy, and had the ability to close for privacy. The tents can accommodate up to six people. They can be reserved for 2 1/2 hours with a $150 food-and-beverage minimum, rather than a separate rental fee. See my pics. What started as a quick stop for desserts turned into a little adventure and one of our more memorable visits.
