I was so excited to have a Hong Kong/Cantonese style restaurant in DFW! Service: The women that worked here were very friendly! Ambiance: Plenty of seating. There were large round tables that could sit upwards of 8 -10 people! Perfect for the family style dinner! Food: Overall, I enjoyed the food we ordered. 1) Cantonese stir fried Beef noodles - these were my favorite! The beef was tender and the noodles soaked in the flavor from the wok and seasonings. 2) The Chinese BBQ: We ordered roasted pork, duck, and Chinese BBQ pork. My family and I were excited to see that a new Hong Kong Style restaurant opened up near us. Ever since we moved to the DFW area, we've been struggling to find a good Cantonese/HK style restaurant and was hopeful when we saw that the Chinese name included 大排档/Dai Pai Dong. We got Crab Rangoon, Sizzling Fish-Fragrant Eggplant Claypot, Pork Chop w/ Sweet & Sour Sauce, Braised Pork Belly w/ Preserved Mustard Green, Salt & Pepper Fish Fillet, Beef Lo Mein, Singapore-Style Fried Vermicelli, Stir-Fried Flat Rice Noodle w/ Beef, BBQ Pork Fried Rice, and Two BBQ Combo Rice w/ BBQ Pork & Soy Sauce Chicken. The taste is definitely up to par to what we've had in HK. The dishes definitely have that 'wok hei,' IYKYK! They have good portions. (Don't judge based on my photos. My family started eating before I could get photos.) The only "complaints" we had were that the eggplant dish was a bit more vinegary than preferred and could have used a bit of fish sauce. The Salt and Pepper Fish was also missing some chili peppers. I'm hoping to try out their Hong Kong Style Crab Fried Rice, Roast Duck, and Wonton Noodle Soup! I haven't had a good bowl of Wonton Noodle Soup since we moved from Chicago! Bokee's definitely got my family's seal as one of the go-to place for HK food! read more

Came with a group of 4 people, ordered four dishes and an appetizer and had leftovers to spare, so value is not bad. It's hard to mess up stir fried green beans so those were pretty good, and I liked the amount of wok hei on the flat noodles. Clay pot was solid, as was the seafood tofu pot. Everything was just a little bland and nothing really stood out/particularly wowed me. There are better canto options in the area IMO (TKS, C&A). Pretty happy there is a specialized Hong Kong style restaurant in DFW now. They have a lot of the classics. We've gotten the claypot rice, twice cooked pork with XO sauce, Hakka salt-baked chicken, and stir fried flat noodles. Everything is pretty good and thought the stir fried flat noodles were the best. They were very thin and soft with a nice wok hei flavor. Twice cooked pork was okay, a little saucy and salty. Hakka salt-baked chicken was pretty good. Chicken was tender and had a good salty taste. Claypot rice was promising but just seemed to have a missing flavor to put it over the top. Presentation was nice with the sizzling claypot and pouring the sweetened soy sauce on top. They gave lots of meat and it's a good value. Overall, pretty good experience and will satisfy your HK craving. Will be back to try more of the menu. read more

Bokee is arguably one of the best Cantonese/Hong Kong restaurants in DFW Hard to find clay pot rice in Dallas and this place does it right. Portions are also fairly large! I tried a few, but I think the chicken with shitake was my favorite. Super tender chicken with ginger and umami flavors throughout. Highly recommend. Our party also enjoyed the Chinese sausage clay pot rice! This place also has hands down the best beef flat noodle I've had, maybe dare I say Texas. The wok hei was on par with what I've had in Hong Kong. Seasonings on point, any saltier would have been too salty. Everything came out fresh and hot. Service was pretty fast when we went on a weekday. Also enjoyed complimentary winter melon soup. The food here was good, but gosh they were stingy with the rice. There were 4 of us all adults and when we asked for rice, they only brought out 1 small cup, so we had to ask again for more rice and they brought out a 2nd small cup for 4 people to share! Everything was quite "salty" so we needed the rice, I'm used to getting a big container of rice especially in a big family style meal! Why only bring out just 1-2 cups for a whole family that was so annoying. read more

The service was really confusing and we had to call for someone to come order takeout multiple times. The menu was a little misleading as the pork ribs were actually pork chops. They did not have much of a lemongrass flavor as well. The oysters were huge and great, a little strong on the garlic side but overall really delicious. The crab fried rice is 100% worth it and delicious, definitely their speciality and would recommend getting. The seating is unfortunately packed and there was a lot of people waiting on the side and we were unsure if they were waiting for seating or what was happening but overall great spot, could use some signs to avoid confusion! read more

I observed that a few of my friends recently shared their experiences with Bokee Chinese BBQ in Plano. I decided that I would like to try it before bringing my entire family. I ordered the shrimp crispy noodle dish to take home and share with my parents. To my surprise, the noodle texture and taste were distinctly different from other Cantonese food establishments. The flavors were exceptional. I inquired about the availability of curry fish ball with pork skin and was informed that it may be offered in the future. This place has only been open for about a month. The food is really good! I can't wait to go back and try more dishes. I loved what we got and some favorites were the sizzling claypot chicken and the beef chow fun that has amazing wok hei (iykyk). The new kid in town now has a following as we tried it for the first time. They serve true Cantonese food . We had the spare ribs clay pot rice which was enjoyable except the meat was not as tender as we would have liked it to be. Eggplant and salted fish was probably the most flavorful dish that you could eat. Star of the evening was hk style sweet and sour pork. It hit all the right notes for us. This location is replacing tasty eggroll. We visited during their soft opening, and it was packed. There were only two people managing the front and waiting tables; they were overwhelmed although they were very nice. The restaurant is decorated to make it feel like you are in Hong Kong in the 90s. I really wished the food was representative of that, but we felt disappointed with the dishes that we tried. Unfortunately, they were underwhelming. Stop by there yesterday, tried to order ice tea an they don't have it. Ordered a bottle of tea, husband water. Ordered hot & sour soup, orange chicken, husband General Tso's chicken. Received soup, it was so hot you couldn't eat it. The spices in it burnt your mouth. Received our meal an couldn't barely eat it. The chicken was so tuff you couldn't cut it with your fork. The meat was the dark meat of the chicken, an it too was way to hot to eat. An what decent restaurant would use dark meat? We both gave up an asked for check. I left a note for the server about the food. We will never go back there again. Just giving warning about what to expect. read more

Too friendly toward customers' spouse. Need to control how much you need to express your emotions and feeling when they are couple inside the restaurant. You don't have to tell the customer how handsome or pretty he/she is when they are a lot of customers there. Make me uncomfortable and don't want to eat there no more. especially if you the manager and scream toward the whole restaurant and tell the customer how nice or handsome they look in front of the other spouse and the whole entire customers there. Waited over an hour for a table after they gave away a table to people who came after our group and 2 others. After getting a table when we tried to order food all the options we wanted they didn't have?! So we just got up and left. There were 12 of us having dinner last night (Friday, Jan 23, 2026) Food was mediocre at best. We ordered 12 dishes. All of them were less them satisfactory. Their steamed chicken was over cooked and was extremely dried. None of the dishes came out piping hot. Dishes were way too salty. I need to stop saying anymore. Overall, I gave it a one star. Service - 2 star. Atmosphere - 1-1/2 star. Food - one star. read more
