Cool little coffee spot in downtown Tucson inside the pioneer building good drip coffee decent seating area of the bathrooms are all the way down the hallway past the security guard but the muffins look good. They got the healthy Colorado chips for lunch and it's a great spot service was prompt and I'm happy with it

Ike's in downtown is my go-to spot for a quick, to-go coffee. My all-time favorite is the hot mocha latte!! I haven't had a chance to try any pastries or sit down there yet, but the coffee is consistently great, and the service is always fast, easy, and friendly. Definitely recommend for a quick pick-me-up!

I give this place five stars because they have always come through for me when I needed a caffeine or breakfast fix during my work day. Great coffee and food conveniently located downtown. 5* = A top favorite. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient or the only option. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = Stay away at all costs!

Stopped over to grab some lunch, as there were signs that said sandwiches and salads. Definitely was more of a coffee place than a sit-down eatery. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich was okay. Unique cheeses and well melted/crispy but rather flat. The salad that came on the side was a bit wilted. The dressing was very good. I ordered a chocolate croissant/pastry on the way out. It almost tasted stale with chocolate chips that were not incorporated into the pastry. Definitely not worth the calories. It's located in a lobby of a building, so there's a lot of elevator traffic. The staff was friendly, so that was a positive. Maybe the coffee is better than the food and atmosphere? Not sure I'm impressed.

I stopped by Ike's for lunch and ordered the hummus salad and it was fantastic. The food was fresh my wait wasn't very long and it was just tasty. The service was also good no complaints I got my food to go and left a tip. The ambiance is pretty basic nothing especially spectacular but I wouldn't mind having a seat and eating on site. I'll be back for that salad!!

This morning is a very special morning for me, I graduate college so I decided to try a new coffee shop, I came with no expectations and let me say that the staff is extremely kind and patient, they have amazing customer service and they are fast and efficient, they were getting everyone's order done while smiling and having a great attitude, I got a cookie, a cinnamon pecan roll, a peppermint mocha latte from their December menu and it's so delicious, the peppermint isn't overwhelming, my boyfriend got a red eye for those who don't know a red eye is espresso and coffee together. Over 10/10 and prices are really good we got two medium coffees and two pastries for 15 bucks, what a deal!!! Come visit this local downtown coffee shop!!!

Go-to coffee shop for government workers in the area. Pleasant interior, light and airy, but the chairs are hard wood so don't plan to sit for too long. Great view of the area out of the big windows. Nice selection of coffees, nothing real exotic but they cover all the bases. Good selection of pastries, and they serve sandwiches at lunch. Pleasant place to stop if traffic allows you to arrive downtown sooner than planned and you have a few minutes to while away with a caffeinated beverage.

Had to finally stop in and check out this cute little gem. Greeted with an amazing smile, this spot feels like the right place to be in downtown on a Wednesday morning. I picked up a Blueberry muffin and asked Mikhail about the types of drinks/ his speciality as well as what he recommends. He definitely knows how to respond professionally and swiftly, Someone who knows their menu. I asked for the Cupid's Arrow Smoothie, a cold sweet refreshing beverage, a specialty drink made by my barista.I will definitely be back in. Side note, music inside also rocks and Mikhail will sing while he's working haha.

However, I have to give 3 stars for the overall execution of my meal. I had a half of a Hammer sandwich which was about $8. It's ham, soppressata, cheese, lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, dijon, vinegar, oil, garlic sauce. Unfortunately, I felt that my sandwich came with skimpy toppings. I got a pretty thinly stacked layer of ham and 2 little ovals of soppressata. The cheese was barely present. I also would have loved more tomato. I got a good amount of lettuce and banana peppers, though! Unfortunately, I just couldn't taste the meat and cheese toppings super well due to their being not much of them on the sandwich. The flavor of all the other ingredients were good, though. My friend got the Scramwich on Foccacia for $14. Looking at it, I could also tell it had not much proscuitto. Upon further inspection opening one of the halves of the sandwich... it was definitely only a few little smaller pieces of proscuitto. (The other toppings were on the other piece of bread, don't worry, those were fine) Sorry for the ugly photo - hard to really capture it without dissecting the thing. I also just noticed while looking at the photo again that one of the pieces of arugula also had black spots on it... Definitely not very fresh. My friend still enjoyed the foccacia, sundried tomatoes, and other toppings, but also felt there wasn't enough proscuitto. For the price, I would hope for a sufficient amount of meat. Heard a lot of hype about Quisty's and I see great potential in their quality and concepts! With better execution I'd definitely consider coming back. It's just hard to justify paying as much as we did for sandwiches that were skimpy on arguably one of the most important toppings!

This place is located in an artsy / entertainment district close to downtown. When we went, there was road construction nearby that made getting here more challenging. Once we located it, the next challenge was parking. We visited around noon on a Saturday. There are no large parking lots, so you have to find something on-street. We ventured a couple of blocks off the main street and found something. However, the signage wasn't really clear on whether you had to pay on weekends or not. We accessed the parking app via a QR code, but it told us that our space 'was not available', despite the fact that we were in the space. A guy leaving the space next to us confirmed that parking *was* free on weekends, so we trusted that and walked to the restaurant. In retrospect, I think the app meant that we did not need to pay, but 'not available' seems a bit vague for that... The restaurant is located on a strip of old storefronts that now house restaurants, record shops, etc. There was a lot of pedestrian traffic out front, including a homeless guy asking for change. The atmosphere was sort of a loud, slightly cramped dive bar. I don't mean that in a bad way, but that was the vibe. The music was loud - none of it was familiar but I didn't hate it. I guess my point is that if you are looking for a quiet spot for lunch, this is probably not it. We initially were offered a table on their covered patio. We left one person there while sorting out parking, but when we came back they had a booth inside so we grabbed that instead. The patio seemed shaded and semi-comfortable, other than a loud barking dog. We browsed the menus and ordered our food. We all got half-and-half combos (soup/salad or sandwich/soup). The only issue was that the soups came in a bread bowl. I was able to finish my soup, but felt bad about not eating more of the bowl. If I'd had the option, I would have gotten a plastic bowl. The salad was pretty big, despite being only half. I finished most of it. We ended up having sufficient leftovers from others such that we took them back to our hotel (a relatively short drive) and finished them the next evening. All the food was tasty. This wasn't what I was expecting, but I'd consider eating here again given the right circumstances / group.

When first entering it's a very small booths and bar but if you continue down the hall past the bathrooms they have a big open outside/indoor patio seating area! Great if you have kids or pets with you So the food. Honestly some of the best sandwiches I've ever had Their combo with the bread bowl and half a sandwich is hard to beat to be honest. A little bit of both worlds there I recommend eating the bread bowl first because it's more filling that you think and you can take the sandwich home They have a wide range of options for everyone And even offer a picky kid friendly sandwiches like PB & J, might sound boring or normal but that was the best PB & J I've ever had The staff is very nice and helpful They run the bar also and will bounce between the bar and your table So if the bar is busy I'm sure it could take a bit for you to order at your table Great food Great environment And friendly people Highly recommended!

Overall decor was nice, tall ceiling and lots of space. Menu is pretty well sized, as there's options for a little bit of something for everybody. I'm sure we've all been to places similar to this. The Monica is a bit nicer than some of those other ones I've been to. The way ordering is done here is at the counter after you walk in through the main door, just go straight to the counter to order. Staff here were nice, no issues there. We got a couple of things to eat today. I myself got the beef steak sandwich, which came with fries, and an au jus like sauce. It was good. Decently sized portions for the sandwich and also the fries. Not really sure what the faux au jus sauce was, but it was just okay. But the NY steak strips were tender, and good. Definitely a philly cheesesteak ish type feel to this sandwich. Final verdict; The Monica is a jack of all trades kind of a restaurant which I'm sure we've all had in our own areas. The Monica is probably a bit nicer than the ones I have had around me, but I wouldn't exactly call it fancy. Certainly a nice spot to relax, drink, and just be simple dine and perhaps a drink. Upon arrival there was one bag ready to go with receipt stapled to the outside. I just saw the total price in the largest print and it was exactly right. Someone asked my name, I called it out, and they rang up the bag. I decided to just sit down for 5 minutes and enjoy the sandwich fresh since I had requested that it be toasted (they will now toast any sandwich - a game changer!) But the sandwich I opened was cold. I went back and said, hey, I'm super easy going, I was just wondering if you guys could still toast this? Fernando came over and was super apologetic. He then asked to see the receipt to troubleshoot the oversight and, lo and behold, different name, not the bootlegger, and not toasted. Wrong Bag! He promptly had my sandwich made (which apparently never came through on the app). At the same time the person whose bag I had paid for called in and said he had ordered his sub to the wrong location! Fernando was terrific about fixing everything. And, yes, the bootlegger toasted (with added crispy onions and cucumbers and no mayo) was ready lightening fast and terrific.
