I love the coffee here and the employees are very sweet. The only thing was that I usually go there and get a drink and sit down, but this time I didn't have enough money so I just sat down and started on my assignment cuz I'm a student at the U of A. This place always advertises how they are u of a alumni and such so I thought they'd be fine if I was sitting at the bar (no one else there) doing my homework. 10 min later an employee comes up to tell me that the owner wanted her to tell me that I have to buy something in order to be there (she was sweet and obviously scared to tell me). It was fine and I left to cry in my car, but it's just the fact that the owner couldn't tell me themselves. Idk, I wasn't even welcomed into the place when I walked in and no one even looked at me until they noticed I didn't order I guess. Just don't go there to study when you're broke asf. read more

I needed to stop somewhere and hydrate before starting my 90-minute drive back to Sierra Vista. My dog and I had walked around Udall park and wanted to chill. This place is bigger than it looks from the outside. The cafe part is separate from the Bistro. I sat at a table facing the main road. The place has wifi (just ask for password). I ordered a large iced green mint tea with peach syrup. It was delicious and just what I needed. Not too sweet at all. I could hear the live music in the main section. It was pretty loud. I'll come back and try some of the baked goods. read more

Had a lovely afternoon of lunch and mahjong at Coffee X-Change today. Food was delish as always and Jonathan works hard to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy, and he remembers everyone's name. I enjoyed my grilled shrimp salad with avocado, roasted corn, cherry tomatoes, red onions, almond slivers, and cilantro crema dressing on a mix of romaine and spinach, beautifully plated. The other ladies had a mushroom burger, chicken salad on croissant, and the sweet and spicy salmon roll. The salmon roll was grilled salmon, cream cheese, cucumbers, carrots, fried wontons, Asian dressing, in a spinach tortilla, and yummy sauce on the side. I will definitely try this next visit. read more

Coffee was good. Don't order food unless you're dining in. I went through the drive thru ordered a breakfast burrito & I've been waiting more than 25 minutes. I went to the window asked where my order was & their response was they had a lot of orders before mine.. mind you I was the only one waiting at the stop sign where they bring your food out.. What's the point of ordering through drive thru? I should have just went to Starbucks. Never coming again. PS. DO NOT ORDER BREAKFAST BURRITO. Packed with grilled onions, bell peppers, makes burrito soggy. Eggs aren't even seasoned with salt & pepper. Honestly it was pretty disgusting. I could only eat half. Burrito was more of a grilled onion burrito than breakfast. read more

I came here with a large group a few months ago, to catch some of the live jazz. Looks like that was a popular plan that night, because the patio was packed when I got there at the beginning of the set. I thought it was strange that the garage doors were not up, as it was nearing sunset and so nice outside. Regardless, I had to move my group further inside so that we could all fit. I kept having more and more people join our table, kept getting longer and longer. Staff was pretty hospitable. I was still dreaming of the chicken fettuccine that I had on Valentine's Day, so I asked if I could, by any chance order it, even though it wasn't on the menu. The kitchen obliged and I was so happy. Again, it came out with a huge portion and so delicious. I would get this every time, please add it to your main menu!! read more

Very cute space in Tucson with great drinks, including seasonal options during the Holiday season! I usually come here at least once while in town for the Holidays, as it's one of my family's favorite local spots here in Tucson. The vibes inside are always great, with plenty of both indoor seating and a covered patio to spread out and do some work or hang out. I also noticed that they have signs up mentioning that there's live music here in the evenings on Fridays and Saturdays! The baristas here are always super friendly and more than willing to provide help and/or advice on any drink recommendations that you may personally like! I've had the Apple Cider drinks & the seasonal Peppermint Mocha drink here a few times now - they're always great quality and enjoyable. A few of the treats are also really great, and I'll sometimes grab a little brownie or piece of cake to enjoy. Flavorful and tasty - although the last treat I got was a little bit small in portion size. Overall, Coffee X Change is a very spacious yet also cozy spot with great service, drinks, treats, and live music on weekend evenings. Put it all together, and this spot is definitely worth a visit! read more

Hands down the best Chai Latte in Tucson!! Service was friendly and fast. It's inviting with plenty of seating to just hang out by yourself or meat up with friends. I didn't try the goodies but looked delicious so will next time. But the Chai! Right amount of spice. Not bland with mostly milk like several other popular coffee shops. Will definitely return! read more

We Lova Coffee X Change! The food, pastries, and drinks are delicious. We did takeout, but it looks like a great place to dine in. They have call in, online order, dine in, and drive thru options. They also just expanded their restaurant so they can accommodate large parties. As a Tucson local and favorite, I love this for them. Much deserved and highly recommend. Cheers! read more

Met up with a friend late Saturday morning at Coffee X Change and had a great time. They just finished the remodel of the restaurant next door, so hopefully that'll bring more people in. They have a large drink and food menu. I was very tempted by the bakery case. We just went with coffee and ordered a Flat White and a Latte. Appreciate the plentiful indoor and outdoor seating options. The drive thru is convenient for those who want to get in and out quickly. read more

Went to Coffee X Change tonight seeking a good salad and a place to get food without getting my little one out of his car seat. Normally I only think of this place for coffee, but their menu is huge with the bistro! Decided on the caesar salad wrap and have no regrets! Made fresh while I waited in my car for a few mins. Large portion. Very tasty. Will keep this in mind in the future - in person or drive thru! read more

I love this place, they make great coffee and a great bagel breakfast sandwich. I ordered the Carmel Crunch Latte and a Everything Bagel with egg whites, mushrooms bacon, onions and spinach and it did not disappoint. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. I walked in to order a simple latte and watched the owner or a grown man, SCREAM at his younger female employee and embarrass her. I can't support a shop that treats their employees so terribly. I went to read the reviews afterwards and I am glad I did because I will not be returning, please do not support this company. read more

My partner and I stopped by on a Saturday evening to listen to a live music performance. We seated ourselves, and a friendly server brought menus. We already had dinner, but they have a pretty good selection of desserts, including many that are gluten free. My first choice was sold out, but my second choice--the cashew almond bar--was pretty good. The serving size was on the small side, but I was ok with that. I also ordered a hot decaf oat milk latte, which was ok. My partner enjoyed his strawberry oat bar and very hot decaf coffee. Music was great! We'd come again for that and to get dessert. read more

This was my first time here. I was a little nervous because this was a new atmosphere. I walked in and told the young lady at the first counter that it was my first time in and if she could explain how things worked around here. She kindly explained. My intention was to sit, read, and relax a bit, she said I could go to the Bristol that was down the way. After passing tables, seats, and others I reached the Bristol. The tables were covered with a black linen. I was a little intimidated because it looked kind of fancy. There was music playing over head (instrumental) at a comfortable volume. I was greeted and seated. It was a real good experience. The waiter was very attentive and knew his job very well. He took orders without writing anything down, It was impressive. He was friendly with all tables and knew the regulars by name and their orders. He also greeted us newbies with good mannerisms as well. The menu is extensive with lots of good options. I didn't see what I wanted (I saw it in a post) the waiter asked if I had decided. I told him I didn't see what I had wanted. I told him, he said no problem we will make that for you. I look forward to visiting again in the future but this time I will sit in the front area. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. The coffee variety, the pastries. The food. All of it is perfection in my book. I always wanted to try this place and thought the first time might have been a fluke but nope each and everytime it is exceptional. Not just the food but the service as well. I've also used the drive thru to order my favorite pastries and always a great experience. I would highly recommend this place. Try it you won't regret it. read more

Coffee Exchange used to make the best smoothies. They used to use real fruit and real whipped cream. I've noticed that their quality has gone down. It seems like they now use artificial flavorings and the whipped cream is not real cream. Their food has never been that great and is expensive. All in all I am disappointed. read more

I am reviewing the drive thru experience since I did not dine inside. First, they have a huge menu! I actually previewed their menu before arriving and had decided ahead of time what to order. For myself I order the Pesto Salmon sandwich. It was so beautiful to look at and the salmon was cooked great. I wish the pesto had a little more depth but the focaccia bread was delightful! I ordered a Big Philly sandwich for my husband. I think they should change the name to just a Philly, because the size was eh. It looked like the meat had sat out for a while. My husband said it lacked flavor. So won't order that again. He liked the coleslaw said it was crisp and not heavy with mayo. Ordering was simple, the server at the window was polite. I was Asked to pull up to the wait area and they would bring out our order. We waited probably 15 mins for the food to be prepared. The ambiance in the alley well..there is none. Ha ha. They walked my order out and we were on our way. I will try them again, especially their coffee but I don't drink coffee in the evening. So maybe a lunch visit is in order. read more

Been coming here regularly about once or twice per month. The service is always great and we sit in the back meeting area. This is past the coffee shop area. Also sometimes they have live music, you can check with them if stopping in. Main draw are the coffee drinks, natch. They are very good and tasty and done well. Sometimes a small wait, depends on the time of day. I lean toward the Xtreem drinks which are frappe ish. You can customize to your tastes. I usually do the vanilla Xtreem with caramel Meal choices are great, salads, sandwiches, taco, hummus plates. A little something for everyone. Our group usually has a nice mix of plates (also appetizers) that look really good. The servers will always adjust based on your individual allergies or preferences. Like I said, we usually dine in the back seating and enjoy the ability to gather as a group. Food is always served quick and timely. All are good choices, I lean towards the salads and sandwiches. The sandwiches come with either a coleslaw or chip (which as small but fine portions). They will give boxes if you don't finish everything. At the end of the meal, often they will reward you with a cream puff. Nothing fancy but nice ending. ***One bad experience recently, we popped the cream puffs in our mouths and immediately spit out. They were probably left out over a day. The cream was spoiled and crust had mold. It was after paying and we were on our way out. Luckily we did not swallow, told the waitress (who appeared new) and she apologized but did not specifically state she was going to tell anyone. We called later and the owner said he would make it good, as he did not hear about the experience. Still recommend, but maybe skip the free Cream Puff. read more

The coffee was on of the best I have tasted and I go to many coffee shops and everyone was friendly and helpful and loved the decor

Really enjoyed my caramel macchiato. It was great. They have an extensive menu with lots of savory options as well as a dozen different coffee choices. There are laminated menus by the door. I appreciate that! Everyone I encountered was personable. The cashier was pleasant. Even the barista said hello and told me when I was next. There's a weird vibe like you're supposed to pay cash. Everyone in front of me did. They asked me to sign my card slip for $12. That's gone away many places. They have a lot of tables. It's a little unclear whether you should wait for your coffee or find a table and they'll bring it out. About half the people waited. (My companion was told they'd bring her drink, but they did not.) There were a lot of open tables, but coffee took 10 minutes. I also ordered a pastry (cherry Danish, which was large and fabulous) warmed. If I'm getting an espresso drink, I wouldn't bother having it warmed next time. It was cold again by the time I got my coffee. It was very nice out today and we sat on the patio. Great patio. The parking was easier than it looks from Tanque Verde. There is parking around the building past the drive-thru. 5 star coffee and pastry and workers. Minus a bit for the confusion and slowness. read more

The best grilled cheese on the planet. Also nice people and clean spot. Our family comes here all the time and will keep coming back.

I've been here many times before and never had an issue.. but today was very disappointing. I'm surprised this even made it to the table. This is a great find! I saw a post about their breakfast burritos so I had to try one out. I opted for the soy chorizo since the woman recommended it (said her son loved it) and the regular sausage burrito was a patty, according to the barista. I wasn't in the mood for trying bacon as I'm SUPER picky about my bacon - but after the pure deliciousness of the soy chorizo burrito (my only advice would to be add in a bit more chorizo to balance out the perfectly scrambled egg and veggies) - I'll definitely try the bacon next time!! The burrito was also packed with hash browns, mushroom, spinach, green pepper, and onion. It was truly delicious topped off with the mild salsa. The bakery case caught my eye with a lonely eclair, so I emancipated it to try later. I'm glad I did, because it was perfection-with lots of yummy cream inside and just the right amount of chocolate glaze on top of the light pastry. I'd go back again just for one of those. Since I had already had my coffee, I opted for an iced matcha, and it was delicious-best I've had in Tucson. Completely unsweetened (which I like) so if you want it sweet add a pump of vanilla. The atmosphere was busy but with lots of options for seating in different rooms. I sat at the window bar so I could write and people watch. This is the best kept secret for a locally owned and operated coffeeshop with delicious drinks and food. It had all ages in there (a couple teenagers sat down next to me with toasted bagels) and I heard an older couple talking about how great its coffee drinks were. Can't wait to return and try even more on their yummy menu. read more

Coffee X Change has a large indoor seating area and a covered outdoor seating. It has several plug in options for electronics and seems very suitable for working or doing school work. WiFi is available with purchase. There are very little to no vegan options here in regards to eats however there are more options with the drinks. The service was simple and good.
