Located in the strip mall behind Little Anthony's and the Gaslight, it was a delightful find that I wouldn't have known about were it not for Yelp. First thing you notice is the art on the walls. It is all for sale by local artists. The prices for the art were reasonable, and I may have to go back and get the crown crane painting. We were able to sit and have our meeting without interruption and feel like we would have been welcome if we wanted to stay all day. Brew Station Coffee is definitely a hole in the wall location for your caffeine fix! Literally! I've been shopping in this plaza for the past few years and never had I noticed the store before. Gabe, the owner is a great guy and down to earth. What I really appreciate this location first and foremost is the STRONG coffee. I like my Americano black and strong. This cup kept me wired and working throughout the day. The coffee shop has plenty of natural sunlight and various high tables with loungers. This is perfect for remote working, studying for your next exam, or even collaborating with classmates/coworkers for an upcoming project. This location is remote and not over-crowded. I've been to Brew Station about a dozen times. Coffee is solid and the owner Gabe is friendly and provides consistently good service. Today I went at 0805 and no one was in. We waited about 5 minutes and someone other than the owner opened the doors at 0810. 10 minutes late, no big deal. We went in, he turned the AC on, and quickly picked up some pieces of half eaten bread left open on the counter from the night before. It felt unhygienic. I work in this plaza which is known to have a cockroach problem. I ordered the same latte I always do, but this time it cost $7.61 with tax when before I've been charged $6.25 for the same latte. Coffee was still good though. Overall it was just a really odd experience, and different from what I'm used to here. read more

What a gem this place is! I had a macchiato with caramel cold foam and my husband had a white mocha, both were extremely balanced, I enjoyed mine so much I can't wait to go back! The menu is written up on the wall behind the bar with all the flavors they have available. The personal touches are all around the shop from the writing on the wall down to the tables. They also offer some small baked goods from local bakers. Overall it was ok coffee. Maybe it was some particular drink I chose but nothing that blew my mind or stood out. A cute store with local art on the way for purchase. The guy behind the counter was nice and quick. I ordered a large iced match with almond milk for $6. I like the taste of matcha. Its bright and fresh with subtle sweetness and grassy notes. This matcha did not taste like that. Its fairly flat and a bit earthy, the grassy notes are hard to find. I think this matches tastes a bit off because the powder isn't being stored correctly. The powder is in a giant clear glass jar on a shelf. It's not directly exposed to sunlight, but it should still be in an opaque container to prevent degredation. It's an okay drink but I'll probably go somewhere else the next time I'm craving matcha. read more

I came here for an Elite event a couple of weeks ago and brought a different friend today. Their coffee is always good and they are more than willing to accommodate my special requests. This time I got an iced latte with half-caff coffee and s'mores sugar free sweetener. An east-side local gem! Located in a great spot with easy access for a grab and go or a sip and chill kind of visit. I had originally stopped in for a Yelp event, and once inside I couldn't help but order one of the amazing (and locally sourced) gooey and huge Fruity Pebbles marshmallow squares made by Something Delicious Bakery! They offer a nice selection of these gourmet treats alongside their classic coffeeshop menu. I had an iced chai made with oat milk and it was tasty, after talking with the owner they are working on sourcing their chai from Maya soon so that will take it to the next level for sure! I also nibbled on a soft and flavorful raspberry cookie that would pair well with a hot espresso - so yummy! I love the focus on local sourcing, in addition to the treats the walls are tastefully covered with local artwork for sale which makes for an interesting and eclectic vibe in the dining area. Lots of space to sit and would be good for a large group or a solo coffee mission. The owner Gabe was also the barista and he was super helpful and very friendly.
