I love to get my coffee from cool local businesses whenever I have the chance (although I must admit, I usually give in to the ease of drive thru at the chains .) Tucson Coffee Roasters is just what a coffee shop should be - nice menu (plenty of choices but not overwhelming), good smells, nice vibes, comfy seating, a bookshelf (!! leave a book/take a book style!!), and I think there was even some local art. I think my coffee was even less expensive than it would be at "S " Got to make a point to come here more often!

Great ambiance. The coffee was good. Service was fairly quick and they were nice. The croissant could've been toasted a little less and fully cut through half way. Besides that, it was good. I would come back. It was chill. People were working on their laptops around. I just came here while waiting for my passport to be completed and I like to support local.

We came here on our trip from cali and we tried the horchata iced latte with oat milk and it was really good! Sweet and cold, perfect for a hot day. Definitely woke me up which was much needed for the drive. The workers were friendly and the interior was nice and clean. Parking was easily available at this business and I feel like we came at a busy time of day.

This place was super cute and certainly makes a good cup of coffee! My husband and I wish that they had a few more breakfast item options, however, this is a coffee place first and foremost. I love the added touch of the chocolate covered espresso bean! Super cute and 100% a signature trait. The service was patient as we figured out the menu and our preference, but delivered expeditiously! The atmosphere was calming, kicked back, and I personally loved the aesthetic. Keep it up! We hope to be back the next time we travel to Tucson.

This was a really cool location to visit for my first stop this morning for a cup of coffee. I was able to walk to this location from my hotel stay, was greeted when I walked in the door as well as had a chance to view a little bit of the menu and the surroundings on the inside. The associate working the counter she was helpful she asked me if it was my first time and I informed to her yes. So she proceeded to inform me of what they offer and also a few suggestions on what I possibly might like. So I ordered a small cinnamon crunch coffee. Was very delicious and I was able to enjoy my coffee while sitting outside on their seating patio.

I have lived in Tucson all my life. Almost 43-gritting through my teeth and summer-years. I hadn't heard of this place!! ‍ Two of our closest local coffee shops recently closed. I wanted a local place that roasted beans to have at home. I searched on IG and came across this gem! Awesome coffee! Great breakfast tacos!! Excellent spot to chat and read. Amazing date spot. My husband and I are hooked! So glad I found

They never fail to have a special I have to try. White Almond Roca. How many ways can I say delicious... This is my favorite Tucson coffee spot.

cherry mocha and very very very sweet amaretto iced coffee.

Had to change the very very unenjoyably sweet amaretto iced coffee to a Cappuccino that was better.

Middle of the road coffee. Expected more of a local roaster. It was very weak with little flavor. Matcha was the same way.

If Tucson has a heartbeat, part of it lives inside Talega Coffee Roasters…read more I used to live next door, and honestly, they were the only thing keeping me in Armory Park as long as I stayed. When I finally moved, I thought the hardest part would be adding 30 minutes to my commute. It wasn't. It was losing that daily routine of walking into a place that feels so real and personal. Talega isn't just a coffee shop. It feels intimate in a way that's hard to find now. You can tell Tyler & Rene actually care. Not just about the coffee, but about the people who come in and the community around them. Nothing about it feels transactional. You're remembered, conversations matter, and it feels grounded in something genuine. Their seasonal drinks are what really set them apart. They are not cheap grabs for attention or copies of whatever is trending online. The ideas feel inspired and intentional. (Their maize latte and miso latte were perfect) You can tell there is real thought behind what they put on the menu. It reflects a level of care for the craft that is especially rare. It's been incredible to watch how far they've come since they started. They've grown without losing what makes them special, which is not easy to do. I don't live next door anymore, but I will never stop being a regular and I will never stop drinking the Maize latte (I literally dream about it).

I have to say, their drink was so good that I almost missed being at the finish line in time for my bf! Talega was so intriguing to me that I had to google what it meant. "Talega coffee is an artisanal method that uses a talega, a cotton bag traditionally used to carry coins. Over time, it was discovered that these bags were ideal for filtering coffee, giving rise to this traditional method. In addition, the word "talega" comes from Arabic and means "to hang," which refers to the original use of these bags. The bag is made of cotton, a material widely used in Mexico since ancient times, especially during the Mexica period for making clothes. Likewise, the cotton, made of 100% cotton, is a completely organic product ideal for preparing coffee. Therefore, cotton, composed of 90% cellulose, does not introduce foreign odors or flavors to the coffee and is insoluble in water." via huupa.coffee The owners, Tyler and Renee, were so wonderful. I had such a nice time chatting with them about coffee in general and what a beautiful place and concept and vibe they have at their shop! If you've been to Telega, you know how beautiful and dreamy the spot is. It feels so cozy, like a living room of your best friend's house. But, it also feels like you are in the lobby of a very artsy hotel. They have such creative and intriguing seasonal drinks, manzana latte, miso maple flat white, and picca latte. I didn't get a chance to try them but I got their iced matcha with oat and it was so good! Just perfect. I sent my bf and his bro here the next day and they also loved their coffee so much! We def need to come back to visit Tucson and especially to visit their coffee shop again. My bf said his second order of coffee, their machine wasn't working so it was on the house. They are so generous! We came back on our way out and stopped by them again because my bf insisting for paying his cortado but it was after 2pm. We realized when we got there.. Well, this just means we def will need to come back and I think my bf and his peeps are already considering coming back for next year Tour de Tucson so I can't wait to come back to Talega again!
