A cute coffee shop opened earlier than a bunch of other options in town (06:00 am). I was so happy I went to Tucson Coffee Roasters. There were great coffee options and I love the local items for sale! Plus, one of the stickers for the café was drawn by one of the baristas! I enjoy those little details in a local coffee shop. This morning my husband went out to get us coffee. The employees who were working on 5/24/26 took my husbands order and proceeded to be rude and unpleasant. When my husband received our drink order and tasted his, he told me it didn't taste right. (He orders the same thing at every place, a vanilla latte) He asked the employees if it was the correct coffee and let them know it did not taste right. Instead of remaking it or apologizing to rectify the issue, they were rude and unopologetic. The employee told him, that's how we make it here and that they would not remake it. They also said they have plenty of customers, so us not returning would not hurt their business. This is now the second time my husband has not had the best experience at this location. I did taste his vanilla latte and it tastes like dirty milk. I'm disappointed in their service and now the coffee as well. I'm sad to leave this review. My husband and I use to come here quite often. We have recently been visiting many of the small locally owned coffee stores around Tucson. One, to broaden our coffee buds and two, to support the local small businesses. The oatmeal peanut butter smoothie was okay. The oatmeal was flavorful but peanut butter was lacking. The consistency wasn't my favorite. 7.5/10 I tried the Caramel Mocha. I love to get my coffee from cool local businesses whenever I have the chance (although I must admit, I usually give in to the ease of drive thru at the chains .) Big YUM! I like that they offered frapps with a choice right away about having espresso shots in it. Their drinks were made fast and the ambiance looked great. This place was super cute and certainly makes a good cup of coffee! My husband and I wish that they had a few more breakfast item options, however, this is a coffee place first and foremost. I love the added touch of the chocolate covered espresso bean! Super cute and 100% a signature trait. The service was patient as we figured out the menu and our preference, but delivered expeditiously! The atmosphere was calming, kicked back, and I personally loved the aesthetic. Keep it up! This was a really cool location to visit for my first stop this morning for a cup of coffee. I was able to walk to this location from my hotel stay, was greeted when I walked in the door as well as had a chance to view a little bit of the menu and the surroundings on the inside. I probably shouldn't review a place until I've tried more of their items, but I had such a positive experience here that I'm going to! I went in looking for a gift of Tucson roasted coffee. The owner was so nice and told me all about the variety of beans they roast in an eastside location daily. He offered me samples of a couple and helped me pick out one I thought my friend would enjoy. He ground the beans for a half pound. He also gave me a sample of his lavender lemonade, made fresh on the premises. Talk about delicious! That would be so refreshing on a hot Tucson day. They have a couple of options for breakfast meals and hope to expand to lunch food in the near future. Their shop was cute, with a few tables scattered throughout and a patio if you'd rather sit outside. I'll be back with friends to enjoy some more coffee and a relaxing atmosphere. read more

I was so excited to see they had oat milk, as I'm trying to reduce my dairy intake. I love oat milk since it's usually super smooth and creamy. My drink was anything but, and had a watered down kind of grainy taste. I'm wondering if that's because it was decaf? Not sure but many other coffee shops have made delicious decaf lattes. Living within walking distance we decided to take a walk to the Tucson Coffee Roasters this morning. Upon entering we were greeted by a polite barista who made us feel welcomed. The atmosphere was great, it would be a place for anyone who wants to come to study or even sit and to relax. I didn't know what to try out but was recommended by the barista to try it out. So I decided to try the whisky aged coffee in a size medium. The portion size was not bad and for the price it was reasonable. I suggest getting it with sugar since it would be bland. First trip, so I'll definitely have to update this as I try new coffees and flavors. I had a caramel macchiato with banana and marshmallow, yep I like dessert with my espresso. They have lots of different flavors, more than I saw listed online. If I were them I'd definitely update it for the coffee drinkers like myself. The espresso was amazing, of course. It gave me nostalgia for a coffee shop I love back in Gilbert, Higher Grounds Roastery & Cafe. My macchiato had a delightful creaminess to it that you simply don't get at those popular chain restaurants. Can't beat a creamy latte or macchiato with such delicious espresso. And the prices were great too, less than those big chain coffee places. It has taken me too long to find an alternative to Dutch bros considering this one was just a Google search and 5 minutes away. Oh and how could I forget- the ambiance is perfect coffee shop ambiance. The patio seating is nice and shaded and secluded, perfect for reading a nice book. And they have a leave a book, take a book shelf for readers as well. The artwork for sale is amazing! And they even had a big paper posted to the wall that asked to leave a fun fact. Of course I had to oblige, by the way don't forget your brain is a meat computer. It doesn't help that they have great artwork and cute plants everywhere, and that they give you a free chocolate coffee bean with every order haha! The Ethiopian bean with notes of blackberry and vanilla was an excellent recommendation based on my preference of Costa Rican and Kenyan beans. I was hesitant as I have tried an Ethiopian Yigacheffe in the past that is a little to "Earthy" tasting for me, but I was reassured that this Ethiopian variety is smoother with fruit notes like the typical Costa Rican and Kenyan of my usual preference.
