Click & Collect Not Functional: Made a purchase online through click & collect on 9/7. Waited for email to confirm that order was ready prior to driving to store per instructions. Email never came through. On 9/9 I got a cancellation email saying I was being issued refund since the product wasn't picked up. I tried contacting them just to let them know of that perhaps their system is down but wait times was extraordinary. Purchased a bed frame for my daughter just recently. As most of people know that IKEA furnitures have to be assembled unless you pay them to install them for you. It's like $100 for installation.... It took me like 5 hours to install a beautiful bed for my daughter and it was so worth the time. It was bit tough but fun! Bed is definitely 5 stars but delivery process was 3 stars. I had to call so many times to find out whereabouts of this bed from 8 am to 8 pm and it was delivered almost at 9 pm. To get some help on the phone was like nightmare and tracking was horrible. Took forever to talk to someone on the phone. I would give 0 stars for this process but delivery man was very friendly so I gave 3 stars. Couple days ago I purchased small shelf for the garage. It was about 3 ft long and 1 ft wide. Weighs about 10 lbs in small box. Typically I would go to one of their aisle to pick up but this time it was from pick up section with numbers after pay. It was like DMV and lines were mess... So many people were waiting and seems like many were frustrated... I waited more than 40 minutes standing up for a tiny box. Not a pleasant experience. Also, I did arrive closer to opening time to things might get a little crazier as the day goes on. You definitely are still required to wear a mask indoors at all times except while eating. Terrible experience waiting for my delivery. I was told that my delivery time is noon-4pm today, so I have been waiting for the package since noon today, not going anywhere in case I miss the package and they would have an excuse to re-deliver. It's now 5pm, and I haven't heard anything still. It's impossible to get to a real person on the phone, as well as getting to someone on the online chat. Literally the worse service. If the delivery is gonna be late, then at least call me and give me an updated time window. This is an absolutely frustrating experience and I would NOT purchase anything delivered from IKEA in the future. ---- Update: at 5:15pm Finally got connected with someone from IKEA on the phone, told me that delivery drivers are running late (showing the package was loaded around 8am in the morning, which is the same status I'm seeing using the tracking link), gave me the delivery company's number and basically told me it's not IKEA's problem and ask me to contact them. Basically useless and no new information. Around the same time, my email inquire that I submitted around 5pm got a reply from the delivery company saying that my package was damaged and returned to ikea. Not their issue - asked me to contact IKEA. Great. No wonder they're partners. Five minutes later, I called the delivery company, someone picked up, first said it would be delivered within the next 2 hours. After I questioned her with the email response about my damaged package, she then said oh yea, the driver just updated the status. Your package is damaged and returned to IKEA. I'm unable to provide a new delivery time or any confirmation. Wow. Just wow. I'm shocked at this experience, and how a big brand like IKEA doesn't not have anything established to actually help their customers. "Not our problem, contact delivery" was the best they could do. Throughout this whole process, no communication was given, and reaching each party was incredibly difficult. This is a standard IKEA with a large parking lot, convenient location, yummy restaurant and all the ikea things you need. The huge disappointment with this location is lack of customer service. Like does anyone work here? I was visiting from out of state so I wasn't here for large items just small Knick knacks but it took me a long time to find them. If standing in unreasonably long lines sounds like a good time to you, then I guess IKEA would be right up your alley. For me, I only come here if I have to, like on my most recent visit when I went to redeem a free birthday meal voucher and a coupon good for $15 off my total purchase. I've been going to this IKEA for years, so I know the store's layout like the back of my hand. We immediately made a left turn after going up the escalator to take a shortcut to the cafeteria, where we encountered our first long line. Apparently, the Swedish meatballs were on short supply that day, and we had to wait ten minutes for a fresh batch to be prepared. Our meal voucher was only good for the meatball entrée, so we had no choice but to wait. Once we received our meatballs, we had to stand in another long line--this time for the cashier. I guess IKEA thinks it's cool to have only one cashier working during dinnertime on a Saturday night? We stood for so long that our food got cold by the time we passed through the checkout aisle. Fortunately, there are microwaves in the dining area, but should we really be expected to reheat our food? The final checkout area was the worst part. After picking out a few home decor items from the marketplace, we rounded the corner and saw a mass of people lined way up toward the center of the warehouse. It seemed that, out of the ten or twelve registers available, only about half were open, with around fifty people (my best guess) standing behind each. It took around thirty to forty minutes for us to get to the front! That's insane! Given that this is the only IKEA serving the entire San Gabriel Valley (and one of the four in the entire SoCal area), I would expect there to be a lot of people, but I would also expect there to be enough employees to handle the crowds. Why bother having a dozen checkout aisles if you aren't gonna use them? I don't think I've ever seen them open. (Don't even get me started on how long it takes to get help at the return/exchange area if you ever want to return something. You might as well consider every purchase you make a final sale.) Unfortunately, coming to IKEA is no longer fun. It has become an ordeal and a chore, like going to the post office or the dentist. read more

The upper level showroom and lower level warehouse are great. Just as you know and remember. Food at the upper level restaurant is hit or miss depending on the available food supply that day... sometimes it's good and sometimes it's crap. If you need to pick up anything from the warehouse counter after checkout, then you are in for a bad time! The new pick-up system is totally inefficient and you will be waiting and waiting. I went here just the other day and there was a single cashier with a very very long line around 7:30pm. No problem. The cashier stayed respectful and cool and then just 5 minutes later another cashier opened up. Also respectful and announcing to the customers waiting another line has opened up. Then most of the customers didn't even bother to go into the new line but stayed waiting twittling their fingers. Having lived there for awhile I miss their Marabou chocolates. That's why I was so happy when I found them here in Ikea. They only have two flavors which kinda sucked but the milk chocolate is yummy. They also carry Daim chocolates which have caramel in them. I highly recommend getting Marabou chocolates here. They also have salmon, biscuits, and their famous meatballs. They have indoor food court and frozen section so you can take goodies home. Will be coming back soon probably only for food courts because I always get lost in their display room and stress out when looking for exit. I don't know why but I get lost there even with signs on the floor and people telling me where to go to exit. ‍ Anyway again will only come back to food court. One entrance and one exit. Easy for me. If you're looking for bang for your buck, this is your place. If you're looking for quality, questionable. Regardless, this place is HUGE and has a lot to offer. This location is particularly frustrating to me. I stopped in this past weekend with an open mind, and left irritated as can be. I wanted to quickly browse around and see what they had. It was going fine until I had to leave for an appointment. One would think that the exit signs would be your friend in this situation. However, following the exit signs turned my quick exit plans into a nightmare. In fact, I ended up walking in circles. After asking a worker for the quickest route out of the store, I was led to a dead end. Not cool. While this store does have a lot of great options in terms of affordable decor, this place is just not for me. IKEA is overwhelmingly large and it really is easy to get lost inside of it. The layout is flat-out confusing. My only advice is to summon all of your patience before visiting. You'll need it. read more

Will definitely come back for a new bed with my partner and also a bigger closet, they have tons of choices for closet systems and the way the store is setting with underground parking feels a lot more secure when taking big boxes to your car. Highly recommend this store due to underground parking and just a better open space for items. Didn't offer a lot of office desks however the few that were there was enough to see my future office setting ;). First time trying the food items, we got a cinnamon roll and the non fat raspberry Sunday which was pretty good!! Tons of raspberry sauce. Highly recommend to try it! We have been IKEA shoppers for over 25 years on both coasts. Our kids grew up with IKEA. In the old days, spending a day at IKEA and trying out toys and furniture were like going to an amusement park, but with more fun! They learned how to assemble them by following blueprints and loved the packaged gadgets! We loved to visit the bargain corner looking for some imperfect items or slightly dented furniture! The IKEA at this location is the best with easy access from the freeway. The layout of the parking lot is easier for shoppers to get in and out and make more sense! We were looking for a stand to put our plants and flower pots. As it turned out, we bought a shelf instead of a stand and plastic trash cans as flower pots. The alternatives were cheaper and more practical! In addition, we left with a cart load of "other stuffs" that were not on our list! We also tried their restaurant and ordered chicken and Swedish meatballs meals. They were on the salty side but reasonably priced. To top it off, we treated ourselves with the $1 soft ice cream! Shopping at IKEA is not just a fun experience but giving us new ideas for making or storing things! Just be sure don't visit IKEA on weekends or holidays! First of all, the place was PACKED with people in various degrees of COVID masks. /The parking lot was an accident waiting to happen. People were walking all over the place not paying attention to where the cars were going. Inside, there was No enforcement of social distancing (oh they had marks on the floor but nobody was looking at them) with the exception of more handwashing and sanitizing stations scattered about and wiping down the self-checkout machine between customers. People were every which way but loose. Children were touching everything and climbing on the furniture and playing with toys. It was disgusting, and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Cringey! They had one employee going around picking up things that people just left in different places all over the store. And best of all, of the 5 things we had on our list, only ONE item was actually in stock. Stay away and order online if you must have something from IKEA. I do stray away from the larger pieces, only because replacement pieces are impossible to get a hold of without going direct through them. Recently, we had to replace a few pieces of furniture amd home accessories, so we decided to do a one-stop shop. Purchased a rug, TV stand, dinnerware, lamps, a kid's bed and other misc household items. Pros: * They constantly set up new displays to give great ideas on how to mix & match. * Prices are very attractive on most of their items * Style is more towards modern & contemporary * They carry almost everything, even Swedish meatballs * There's a cafeteria style eatery to take a break, and the food isn't as bad as you might think. * Wide, spacious parking spaces * 15 min. loading spaces * No pushy salesperson * Smart packaging. Large items are shomehow packaged into small, flat boxes for easier transport. Cons: * Gets crowded at times, ie. long weekends so you'll need to park a bit farther * Too many people, sometimes block the aisles because they think there's no one else there. * Classless people who dump their garbage by their parking space. (ie. McDonald bags... empty cups and bottles ... not Ikea's fault) * Almost every furniture is self assembly, so if you're not too handy or keen on reading their instructions, pay for the service * Some instructions aren't too clear, or so mall you'll need a magnifying glass. * Loading some of the heavier items to your cart is a bit challenging, since the boxes don't have a handle for a good grip Other than these points, Ikea is a place I'd consider for future home needs. You should know: * Join the Ikea Family. You'll get members only sale prices. Ikea will email you specials. You can do this at the kiosks. * Flash the Ikea Family at the cafeteria for a free cup of coffee, and the coffee is not bad. * As of 12/10/2016, entrance to fwy 10W is closed for construction, follow detour signs. * At the check out area, there's another eatery, offering pizza, cinnamon rolls, hot dogs and soft serve.
