So I had some problems with my flooring starting to chip in a few different areas. I called Andrew at Kindred and told him the problem I was having. He came the same day to look at the issue and he recommended repairing the chipped boards. We made an appointment to get the floor repaired and Andrew and his crew showed up on the day and on time and did a great job fixing my floors. Andrew and his team were very professional from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for any flooring needs that you might have. read more

I'm so glad I found Rachel! She is top notch and extremely professional and knowledgeable. I found her while I was looking for flooring but to my surprise, I also found a designer! She's sweet, friendly, reliable and most important sincere. She's not in business to take advantage of you, her heart is to help you find what you envision and turn it into reality. I was extremely overwhelmed and she helped me put my nerves at ease. She helped me select, flooring, counters, tile and wall paint. I must say, I love the way everything turned out. I couldn't have done it without her. Her flooring guys did an amazing job and were extremely professional and trustworthy. I can't wait to work with her on my next project. Thanks again Rachel....You're the best! read more

We first used Kindred Flooring in 2021 when we replaced the living room carpet with engineered hardwood. Since then, we've had Kindred out to our house to install the same flooring in 3 bedrooms. The business was owned by Rachel when we first hired them to replace the living room carpet. Andrew, Rachel's son recently took over the flooring business. Andrew was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with him again. He's very knowledgeable and kept us informed of any issues throughout the process. Both he and his team are very hard working and efficient. They had the flooring installed in our fairly large master bedroom in a timely manner. His pricing is fair and reasonable. He and his team are amazing to work with and we would definitely recommend Kindred to our friends and family. read more

Kindred Flooring is so much more than a flooring company. We initially met with Kindred Flooring to redo all the floors in our house, but because of its versatility, we ended up agreeing to do a major interior remodel with Kindred. In a shared project between Rachel at Kindred and Frank from Navajo Contractors, the scope of our project included replacing our floors, overhauling our fireplace facade, tweaking the layout of our living area, scraping off our popcorn ceiling, painting the entire interior and installing new lighting throughout. What put us most at ease with such a large job was working with Rachel. Where we had strong opinions, Rachel did well to work within the constraints we provided. And when we couldn't make a decision, Rachel made great suggestions that saved us time and put us at peace because we had full trust in her design eye. And when the work actually began, the communication with Frank about the project's progress was timely and efficient. It was something like a 6-week timeline, but they ended up finishing about a week ahead of time -- perhaps motivated by my very pregnant wife who was due any day. It was the cherry on top for a project that went as smoothly as we could have hoped for. It's been more than a year now since we completed the project, and we're still incredibly happy with how everything turned out. We'd happily recommend Kindred Flooring for any flooring project and beyond. read more

I had Kindred Flooring install new flooring in my parents' house about four months ago. We reached out to Rachel at Kindred Flooring after over a year of frustrations surrounding our existing flooring. Out of the 5 estimates we received, Rachel was the most professional, thorough, and transparent by providing us all potential outcomes that we may face regarding our current floor situation (e.g. worst case vs. best case scenarios). Of course our floors were worst case scenario (major first time homeowner lesson, but that's another story...), however she made an already stressful situation as easy as can be. She was always available when we had 973 questions, she advised us on choosing the best floor based on our lifestyle and needs, and didn't finish the job until we were 100% happy. We never once felt rushed, ripped off, or unaware of the potential issues and/or progress. Lastly, Rachel and her team at Kindred worked in conjunction with the team from Navajo Contractors Inc. (licensed contractor). I have already shared information for both Kindred and Navajo with friends and I swear up and down by their attention to detail and great work. Thank you Kindred :) read more

We recently had our master and guest bathrooms remodeled by Kindred Design. As this was our first major remodel, Kindred came highly recommended by some of our neighbors. Rachel, the owner of Kindred, is the epitome of professionalism and creativity. She was always available to answer questions of which I had a million. She guided me through the process and helped me select the materials that now make up our beautiful bathrooms. I really can't say enough about how thrilled I am with our remodel. If we decide to do any other remodeling of our home, we'll absolutely use Kindred Design again. Thank you, Rachel. read more

Rachel and her team at Kindred Flooring superbly renovated all of our flooring (replaced engineered wood and carpeting damaged by dogs). The results provide us with a dog-puppy-proof home that is also updated and easy to maintain. Rachel guided us through the selection of the appropriate products for our flooring. Her industry knowledge and experience plus infinite patience helped us pick just the right materials. She worked with us on scheduling so that we could have the entire project done in 3 stages to fit our needs. I wanted to deal only with one contractor for purchasing materials and installation. Rachel's team of installers were efficient, punctual, clean, knowledgeable and helpful. Lisa was also super helpful. The showroom is well organized and maintained with products for every budget. We completed the entire project on budget - no small feat given the supply chain issues. (It helped that we purchased and stored all the LVT 4 months prior to our project installation to avoid further price increases by the manufacturer.) Kindred's pricing was fair and appropriate for the level of service and materials selected. After completing the flooring and carpeting at the end of 2021, we flooded our kitchen and dining areas in January, 2022 and had 2 inches of standing water from a broken under-sink water filter. Even though the new baseboards, the kitchen sink cabinet, and some drywall had to be replaced, the floors were PERFECTLY DRY!!! Rachel came out and inspected the floors to be sure we were OK to complete the repairs. All the 2-legged and 4-legged creatures are enjoying are renovated home! read more

We used Kindred Flooring to install new flooring and baseboards in a house we recently purchased. Lisa and Rachel were both wonderful to work with. Very friendly and professional! Rachel really listened to me when I described what I wanted, and she was meticulous during the install to make sure she delivered exactly what I ordered. She gently made suggestions that took our renovations to the next level and made our home feel like it had been customized just for us. I highly recommend this company!!! I usually have a really hard time with construction projects because I hate the dust and mess and I worry the project won't turn out the way I envisioned it. Honestly, this was the cleanest and smoothest remodel ever, and I never had to worry that I wouldn't like the outcome. Thank you Rachel and Lisa! read more

We were referred to Rachel by our contractor, Frank/Navajo Contractors, and good thing he did!! We walked into Kindred and right away Rachel made us feel like a priority, with great service, AND she just becomes your very own home decorator. We decided to remodel our master bathroom, and thought I knew what I wanted, but when I gave Rachel my vague ideas, she went into action and put together EXACTLY what I wanted and more. Really great company to work with. We ran out of flooring and needed some additinoal pieces and we needed them FAST. The original company we had purchased from said it would take a week or two, so I started calling around other flooring companies. Great company, will only use them for future flooring projects. read more

Rachel and Lisa at Kindred flooring were a pleasure to work with! To start, the showroom is super clean and organized which made it easy to look at samples and choose the right floor for my new home. During the demo and install, I knew I was in good hands even though we found 2 layers of tile and a super moist slab... SO thankful that we found Kindred Flooring and had the opportunity to work with Rachel and her team! From day one - Rachel and Lisa were extremely helpful, and I am so grateful we stumbled upon this local business. HIGHLY recommend!!! My husband and I first paid a visit to Kindred Flooring with a slight idea of the type of flooring we were interested in - especially something that would be durable enough for our two playful pups. Upon arrival, I was so excited because there were so many options, styles, and beautiful colors to look at. Rachel made the selection process super easy, and she was extremely patient, answering all of my many questions. In the end, she helped us pick out a laminate flooring that we absolutely love! Not only did she make sure we selected flooring that was practical, but also suggested options that wouldn't compromise the aesthetics of our home. Although we were up against some unforeseen supply chain issues - totally out of anyone's control - Rachel never left us in the dark, and was very transparent in communicating with us. We truly felt at ease throughout the entire process. Prior to installation, Rachel made sure we had everything (baseboards, underlayment, etc.) ready to go and that the multiple deliveries were seamless. Andrew assisted with the deliveries, and was very careful and respectful of our home. The install itself was PERFECT and completed on time - absolutely no flaws at all. We are so thrilled to have our new flooring! Thank you again, Kindred Flooring! Looking forward to working with you again soon on future projects! read more

This has been one of 2 great experiences I've had all my life. The floor was laid down in one and a half days and they had expected 3. Kindred flooring and Navajo Construction recently installed brand new floors, baseboards and door casings throughout our house. Rachel was very helpful during the process and patient as I worked through all the small details of the project. She answered all of my questions, had excellent suggestions and helped to problem solve my biggest concerns. When I was uncertain about the floor choice, they were able to coordinate with Crystal Flooring (which is local) so that I could see the full boards in person. We chose to go with their "Deep Sea Collection -Venice" which turned out lovely. It had nice warm and cool tones and it looks great everywhere in the house. When it was discovered that the office had an old asbestos flooring under the carpet they were able to use a reducing technique so that there was not a noticeable transition. Navajo construction worked with Kindred to meet our requests to update some door casings with craftsman styled casings. When an extra door casing was mistakenly removed, they were honest and took care of it at no extra cost. The results were beautiful. Our needs were met and we were very pleased with the end results. read more
