We wanted to replace our home office carpet with flooring and contacted Mario Diaz Flooring due to a positive experience we had with this company in the past. Mario and his installers are amazing, and I am so glad that I went with their services. First off, I was not sure what I wanted to use for flooring and originally looked at wood laminate to save money. In talking with Mario, he discouraged me from doing this and told me I would be more satisfied with solid wood flooring for quality and longevity. I knew it would be expensive, but Mario sent me a link on a sale of quality solid oak flooring that was close to half of the regular price, so we went down and purchased it before it sold out. When his two installers, Yordy and Charly, came out to put the flooring in, they were very polite and professional. During the installation, they ran across some issues with the leveling of the flooring in one area, and they immediately told me about it and recommended they get it evened out before they continue to prevent future creaking of the flooring. They also ran across some other unexpected issues that they had to address, so the total project took much longer than anticipated. These guys did an amazing job, repairing my steps and matching the finish to my existing floors. We had Mario Diaz flooring refinish our original hardwood flooring in the home we had just purchased. We were promised they would look like new. After two attempts the floors still had significant swirl marks that can be seen in low light and from a few feet away that were not present before they started. The owner blamed the floors themselves even after I sent him the technical writeup from National Hardwood Flooring Association, of which he is a member, that stated swirl marks were due to equipment or operator error. He told me they would come out a third time and show me every step of the way that the swirls were not their fault but after I agreed he pushed for a partial refund and claimed they were too busy. The floors obviously look better than they did when we ripped the old carpet off of them but the swirls are significant, I don't buy the excuses, and this isn't what I paid for. Understand the risks before you have them refinish your floors and spend a few thousand dollars. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for a while now. Mario Diaz and his team refinished the oak floors in our 1948 home late last year. We had some areas which needed a patch, and luckily he had some old red oak he could use from a previous job. Once finished, you can't see a difference between the original wood and the "new" wood.
