I reached out to a few contractors in my area to get some flooring done in my home and this company was one of them, Moe was very quick to respond and provide me a price, even offered a cash discount (very suspicious). He seemed a bit aggressive and called me about 3-4 times including a FaceTime within an hour to try to schedule a consultation. After agreeing to schedule a consultation I requested an emailed estimate to review with my husband, he would not provide one. I also asked if he was licensed and insured and he again ignored me 3 times and kept trying to visit my home. We contracted with Moe for our home remodel and are very satisfied with the result. The crew were working everyday except Sunday. The project was completed ahead of the promised schedule by one week. Quality of work overall are excellent. By no means is the job perfect, there are slight imperfections with cabinet installations, counter joints and tile floor. But as any remodel goes, you expect some minor flaws. I would say the job is much much better than my previous contractor. Moe and the crew were very responsive to our requests for changes, unexpected issues and our questions. This is a follow up review to my original post 7 months ago. It took me a moment to decide if I should update. However, for the reviewers, I felt it was only fair to provide details so you knew what to expect especially since these services are costly. After living in our space, we did notice areas of imperfections (we get it, no one is perfect). For example, the caulking around the showers/bathtub started cracking and coming off. We went ahead and fixed these ourselves. There are paint drops on the flooring around the base boards. Hinges on a couple of the cabinet doors have continually become loose so it doesn't help to tighten it again as it appears we need to plug the holes and rescrew. Cabinet hardware had screws that didn't fit it well so the handle would come off. We ended up buying new screws to replace. If you look under the counter in the kitchen, the adhesive work is pretty sloppy, but no one sees this upfront. Our biggest concern is that one of the flooring tiles is morphing and the edge is lifting up (not as dramatic as it sounds). This is not due to water damage. Not sure why it is doing that. I did reach out to Moe on how we can fix but no response. If the matter gets worse, we will be seeking another professional to help resolve. If you care about attention to detail, I would definitely advise to explore options. Seeing these issues did bug me, especially since we spent so much money on the project, but it can just be me being too picky. But as my brother said, if you have an agreement on work and cost, etc., the work should meet expectations. I still give them 4 stars because they were great to work with and we still love what was done to our house. read more

This is the third time I've reached out to Moe and his awesome crew for renovations. My first encounter was for a kitchen, bathroom and flooring for our main floor. The second time was to replace flooring was significant damage we suffered from flooding due to recent storms. While Moe was in our home I asked for a quote to renovate our long overdue master bath. I hired Moe Darwhiche and his team to tile my entire home and install new kitchen cabinets with and ADA feature that would allow me to wash dishes from my wheelchair, which I show in the photos of before & after. After contacting this company my intuition already hinted me that this is not the right company for me. First of all it's weird that the owner claims that the phone number on yelp is wrong and it's interesting that on their site and the appointment contact number on yelp are three diff numbers. If you can't even publish the correct number how can you trust them to come in to your home to work with you. I don't know how this company managed to get 5 stars. I wouldn't be surprised if they asked their friends or paid people to place reviews for them. It's interesting because the owner reminds you when he meets you that they have 5 stars on yelp although frankly I go by my own experience. Looking for a reputable contractor to work on your home can be a daunting task. A task that becomes even more challenging when you find yourself in the middle of an unforeseen remodel because of an emergency. This is the situation I found myself in when Moe arrived to give me an estimate to remodel my kitchen. My kitchen had to be completely gutted due to a water leak.
