I never have the time or energy to do anything extra on my desktop once I get home from a hard day's work. But, I just had to make time to recognize some of the best customer service I have EVER received from ANY store I have patronized. My husband and I purchased some luxury vinyl flooring from Floor and Decor in West Covina, CA. We really didn't know what to look for and weren't educated on what was considered a quality floor. This is where we were introduced to the Design Supervisor, Tanya Jadrich, and this was like hitting the lottery. Not only was Tanya GENUINELY nice, but she was knowledgeable, patient, honest, and funny. She took her time to make sure we understood the differences between all the vinyl; she asked us questions to ensure she was guiding us in the right direction towards our goals. My goodness, she was great! So we made our decision, bought all the flooring and supporting supplies, and had our OUTSIDE contractor pick up all the materials. The contractor started installing our flooring, and we immediately noticed they weren't prepping the floor at all. We called attention to this before the 3rd plank was installed. We were basically told to shut up and let the professional do their job. Well, after the bottom part of our home was completed, the floor was squeaking, cracking, and lifting in certain areas. We were told to give the floor two weeks to settle. Well, 5 months later, we are still fighting this contractor to redo our floor. It is a hot mess. Now, back to Tanya. We reached out to Tanya, and she has gone above and beyond to assist and guide us to a resolution with this company. We understand she has no obligation to do as much as she has done, but she believes in good customer service and doesn't stop providing it EVER! Thank you, Tanya, so very much. Service is excellent everyone in the store was extremely knowledgeable about their products and there is a plentiful selection of product ... rare and unique marble and porcelain as well as ceramic tiles. The price range varies from low to high end I'd recommend taking your time and looking at all the different options and coming in with a general idea of what one would like. read more

This place is huge. Makes sen e since it took over KMart. Very friendly staff I was lost in the abyss as I looked for a shower wall and floor. I'm glad a team member guided me to more aisles. Some things are pricy. Some are reasonable. You get what you pay for I suppose. I was looking for linoleum but they don't carry any. Off since it's a store for flooring. Of course the purchasing experience is always "great" they kill you with a smile and want to help you find whatever you need. Sure that is all fine and dandy, but the moment you go from finding a product to figuring out delivery, this is where Floor & Decor are the worst company. We purchased on a Sunday so they could process on a Monday to get delivery on a Tuesday because its only going from West Covina to a few cities over. Well they botched that and pushed it back an extra day, and then they keep telling us the drivers will not deliver the products into our garage or house, that they will leave it on the street. Why even offer delivery is your customer service reps are told to say this? awful value for what they charge for delivery. I should of known better. If i wasn't on a short deadline i would return the flooring and never come back. Now I am praying the delivery person can put the pallet of flooring into my garage at the very least. read more

Worst customer service experience: In my 1st visit, it took me a while to find for someone/any store staff to assist me with bathroom tiles. When I was finally pointed to someone who helped me; she was able to show me shades of tiles and opened a box pulling out ONE tile for me to purchase and another one in another shade, telling me to see if any one of those will match and return it if it doesn't match. However, when I returned to return the tile; I was told and pointed by door staff to get in one line (mind you, there were 2 registers) which has one customer in front of the male cashiers; while the other female cashier was assisting someone with no one behind (which I was told only one line only). As I was patiently waiting for a period of time, more customers lined up behind the female cashiers and she didn't even tell them to get in one line, instead she helped them. To top it off, the male cashiers decided to turn off his light (knowing that I have been waiting for a while) while continuing to work with the customer without saying anything to me. The female cashiers finished with other customers and didn't even say anything to me. So when I asked both, he said he's closed! I turned to her and said, you knew (which she concurred) I was behind the whole time, while you assist others. The worst kicker had been "floored and not decorred" when she asked if I was buying this piece only. I responded that I am returning it. I even showed her the receipt and she was giving me a hard time and said that it was not returnable?! What's worse, she made me felt like I don't belong here or not up to par to this store. In a way, I felt disappointed and discriminated. It was not a cheap tile ($6+/piece) either. read more

As others have mentioned, Tanya is an amazing salesperson and very personable. You can schedule an appointment with her in advance. There's a wide selection here of flooring and tile. samples can be bought cheaply and returned for a refund. Sometimes getting the flooring samples is a little tricky, so it's probably best to schedule an appointment and have the sales person get them for you. read more

Located in the old K-mart building, Floor & Décor is a great place for all your floor or tile projects. Place is fairly large with a huge selection of ceramic / porcelain tiles, flooring, cabinets, fixtures and building supplies. Associates were there to assist you when needed, but basically you walk and look on your own, until you find what you like, then they'll come in and assist you. They also have on hand, expert interior designers that you can make an appointment with, to have them help with designing your project. They were great in helping me get my supplies and even helped me loading it in my vehicle, so much better than Home Depot, where you're spending most of your time looking for somebody to assist you. This is now my go to tile / flooring store. read more

This place is fairly large with huge selections of flooring tiles, porcelain and ceramic tiles, and other building materials. Tanya J was our designer and she's amazing! Hubby and I were overwhelmed that we had to buy so many materials for our bathroom and fireplace renovation and we didn't know where to start. We told her that we had to get shower wall tiles, shower floor tiles, dry floor tiles, trim, grout, etc. She then asked us what color and style we liked and then she gave us many options and good suggestions. They also offer different price ranges so you can decide on your budget. We finally got a lot of materials there and we were satisfied with the materials that we picked. Our contractor helped us pick up all the materials and I believe that he didn't have any problems picking them up. We are now so familiar with the place at F&D and would recommend it for anyone to come here for their home renovation projects. read more

I was recommended to this location by one of the general contractors who bid my bathroom remodel. This store is one of the newer locations, has many full size displays and the parking was never any issue. The lighting is brighter than several other Floor and Decors that I visited and the selection of products is massive. I made an appointment with the designer Kaitlyn M, who was very helpful in assisting in the color selection of flooring, subway tile and marble products for our master bathroom. After a few visits I purchased all the material needed for my project. They allow a grace period of three weeks to pickup material which my GC will called packed and protected on a pallet. I did end up exchanging my original selected tile for thicker porcelain tile and returned excess marble and subway tile. This is allowable up to ninety days from purchase date. Overall, I was completely satisfied with the quality, service and selection at Floor & Decor and would recommend them if your considering a bathroom or Kitchen remodel. read more

I showed up to the West Covina location with my mom looking for shower wall and bathroom floor tiles. Tanya was extremely helpful and took around 30-40 minutes walking around with us around the store helping us make decisions upon the type of color, materials, etc. all together while we showed up lost and without an idea to design our bathroom, at the end Tanya helped my mom find which design that she loved the most. Anna H. in the design center is amazing! The first time we went into F&D, I was overwhelmed. I made an appointment to meet with someone on their design team because I knew I was in over my head. There is a wonderful selection of tile but if you are not sure what you are looking for then your best bet is to meet with a designer. So far, Anna has helped us with two of our bathroom remodels. Our primary bathroom was very involved and she guided us to great tile options that were both in our budget and match the look we were going for. We were very pleased with the results. So we went back to F&D and she helped us with our 2nd bathroom. This time we brought our school age daughter who wanted to help pick out the tile for her bathroom. Anna was so patient and helped guide her and us to the right tile, down to the tile in the shampoo box to the metal trim color. Anna also gave us suggestions on the color of the vanity to choose to match. I am so grateful that F&D offers this service and that Anna was our designer. We are so pleased with our remodeled bathrooms and I really owe it to Anna who has great taste and helped us find something that suited our style. She goes the extra mile and answered all our questions. The cashiers are also friendly and helpful too. We bought extra tile and they had no problem returning the unused tiles. Computer stock in West Covina said they had 210. We arrived & found the stock. Sadly only 29 tiles on the floor. *insert super hero intro theme music* Phil comes up & checks on us. We explain our scenario & he says they just got trucks in. Our product might be buried but he will go check. A few minutes later, He comes back with great news! He can see our tiles on a pallet! PICK UP needs better custumer service and more careful handling and less waiting and attitude ! 6 damaged tiles because they slammed them with the forklift. We checked them once home and now we need to exchange them tomorrow and we will wait another hour i'm sure. We went to the West Covina location today and had the best customer service from one of the managers wearing a black Polo shirt. His name is Ricardo Rojo!!! He went above and beyond helping us on our first visit there!.! We needed help with selecting the tile because the one in our bathroom is obsolete. Ricardo helped us with everything including the grout color and paste to lay it down. It's so nice coming to a store with such a knowledgeable people to help you and who knows what we need and these days we don't see a lot that, sad to say. Every time I have been in this store, my sisters and I get great customer service. In the past few months, we have been here many times. Mike help us learn about the different types of vinyl flooring. I have to say we probably took an hour of his time learning about the different qualities. He was so friendly and helpful! Tanya, in Design, also gave us so much help, designing our rooms. She walked with us through the store and helped us select different tiles and designs. Again, we never felt rushed.
