Since their website advertised remodels on a budget I thought great! Unfortunately-- it did not turn out that way. Not only was the man rude but when I asked about getting an estimate and budget he totally became disinterested. Funny thing is I never even gave him my budget. Maybe the word was just a turn off and they dont do these?? Won't ever know... guess they don't need the business...

We had Kitchen and Batch Werk did out kitchen and down stair powder room remodel this August(2013)…read more I found them on Yelp as we had no other contactors that we know and liked, so I took a chance. The best thing that I like about dealing with David (the owner) is that he is an honest guy. So I am going to be honest in my review. I think no contractor is perfect, especially when it is not a minor fix but a remodel. So I give 4 stars. The following is the pros and cons of using Kitchen and Batch Werk in my opinion. Pros - 1. Honest - This is what I like about them the most. You really don't find this kind of person in business nowadays very often. David's quote is clear and fair. During the process we needed to change stuff here and there, he will not quote you outrage price since you already started the work and had to stick with them. When there are jobs that are not his specialty (for example - paint), you will find the price that he quoted is very high. Don't hesitate to communicate with him that you want to hire other people to do the job. He was nice enough to work with our painter without holding any grudge. The pre-built cabinet material that he provided is very high quality and well worth the price. 2. Kind - All his crew members are courteous and kind. They will cover up stuff and clean up their mess. I feel safe to leave them working in my house without supervision. 3. On Time - David sticks to the schedule that he gives you in the beginning even though he is very busy. He will not leave your job site waiting forever when he got other big jobs. Cons - OK, now this is the missing star. As I mentioned earlier, David is very busy. He is not only a contractor but also a pastor of a church. So sometimes you cannot get a hold of him. He left his crews and talked a few minutes with you and took off. I had a hard time trying to reach him to tell him when there is something wrong with their work. I finally had to tell him straight that he should at least reply my emails or text messages if he could not pick up the phone during the day. It is very frustrating when you find out there are jobs not done right and wanted an answer on what to do next but could not find the contractor. I found other reviews all said that David is very responsive, so I guess he must be VERY, VERY BUSY when he worked on our project. Finally, I have some tips for people who are considering doing kitchen remodel. 1. Use custom slabs instead of prefab granite. Yes, it costs 2,000 more, but the look is completely luxury and you can do bigger island for more storage space and have no grout granite kitchen backsplash. When you spend 16K on your kitchen, the extra 2k will transform the whole room which is well worth it. David's granite team is exceptional, they did a great job in my kitchen and it complements the beautiful cabinets so much. You also have a lot more choices in the custom slabs; the beautiful nature stone truly brightens the whole kitchen. Make sure to reserve the stone when you go to the granite yard to pick your slabs. David forgot to tell us this, so we had to rush back to reserve the stone in the last minute. 2. Expect to do a lot of shopping even if you hire a contractor. You will have to pick everything by yourself - faucets, granite, cabinet, sinks, lights, cabinet knobs, wood floors, outlet trims, and accessories. Contractors can only give you suggestions, but you have to decide what you like and buy them from local stores for them to install. (They only provide recess lights, cabinet, granite and wood floor.) I think the most difficult part in this process is you have to select stuff without seeing them putting together as there is no model room or sample pictures for you to choose. Overall, our kitchen and powder room turns out beautifully and we got lots of complements from our friends and families. Thanks David and everyone who worked on our project.

There were many contractors with high Yelp ratings, but we found the majority of the ones we spoke with were outrageously expensive and beyond our budget. The few that were within our budget felt untrustworthy, based on conflicting information/advice other contractors had given us. Then, with met with Winpoint's owner, Jun Wang. At our initial consultation, Jun patiently spent a fair amount of time learning about the vision we had for the new kitchen. The communication was clear. His demeanor and conduct were professional. He explained what he could and couldn't (or shouldn't) do. At the end of that consultation, he submitted a quote that I thought was (finally) a good value and affordable. He said our project was going to take six weeks. When all was said and done, it took exactly six weeks to complete. No excuses for why they couldn't finish on time, despite whatever roadblocks they dealt with along the way. I appreciated that he pushed hard enough to stay on schedule. In the end, he did what he said he would do - there were no broken promises. That was important to me. Winpoint is a smaller company. It doesn't have all of the overhead larger companies have, which means, in his case, that lower operational costs get passed onto the customer. If you need something, you deal directly with Jun, not a telephone menu from hell, not a phone operator, apprentice or assistant project manager. While he did have other concurrent remodeling jobs, I found Jun to be responsive to our needs, questions and concerns and never felt we had to wait in line to get something done. Jun is very good at scheduling. We had no bottlenecks during our six weeks construction period. With the exception of cabinet and countertop installation, Jun does not use subcontractors. Electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, tile installation, window installation, etc. are all completely within his control, which basically means that anything that doesn't go perfectly can (and does) get fixed by his employees right away and, more importantly, to his (and our) satisfaction. All of his employees are very good at their respective areas of expertise. Any minor imperfections were dealt with and rectified in a timely manner. Overall, I can recommend Winpoint for your kitchen or remodeling project. If you are looking for a good value and quality work, Jun is your man.

In the past, we've had issues with contractors being difficult to reach or completely ghosting us, but that was never a concern here--communication was clear and timely every step of the way. Jun and his team remodeled two bathrooms for us, including both the showers and bathtubs, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The craftsmanship was outstanding, and the attention to detail really shows in the finished work. Everything was done with care, and the final outcome exceeded our expectations. The quote provided was also one of the most competitive we received, which made the decision even easier. There were no surprises, and the project stayed on schedule. Overall, we're extremely happy we chose to work with Jun and his team and would absolutely recommend them for bathroom remodels or other future projects.

I had no idea kitchen cabinets were so expensive. There are lots of things to think about when getting a new kitchen. I wanted to make sure I get my kitchen right because it's a place I will be using everyday. I happen to come across Farada cabinets on my kitchen cabinet quest. Booked that appointment and was greeted by very friendly staff. They had the cabinet and countertop I was looking for. Quoted me an unbeatable price from all my research. The cabinets are made of solid wood. I was pretty impressed. The showroom is pretty small, but sometimes it's not about the size here. Ask for the cabinet style or cabinet you are looking for. They might have it. They just have a limited showroom and can't put everything on display. They also have stove ranges, sinks, faucets, and tiles. That's what I saw, but always ask if you are curious. I did that with various businesses and found out so much info. I was also given some other suggestions by their friendly staff and I am glad I took them. It pretty much saved my kitchen. Keep in mind I had gone to other vendors and there were no suggestions offered. I placed the order next day, installers came within couple days to do cabinets, next day the countertop got installed. It was pretty much a wham, bam, thank you ma'am positive experience. The installers were quick and knew what they were doing. I will be recommending this place anyone who asks about cabinets/ countertops. So glad I check this place out. Love the way my kitchen turned out. Big thanks to Farada Cabinets. Give this place a shot if you are in the market for cabinets/ flooring/ countertops. Tip - take a picture of your kitchen and draw the measurements. They can offer valuable recommendations once they have a clear idea of how your kitchen looks like. I used my iPad and wrote down all my measurement in the picture.
