Mark found an excellent match for my broken carrara marble backsplash. He knows the craftman who will finish the backsplash and works closely with him. Mark also proved accomidating when I requested an additional piece for a sidesplash. Mark knows his remanant stones backwards and forwards. I did have a mis-understanding with Mark's receptionist, but soon as Mark returned to Stone Market, he called me and cleared it up, so he keeps five stars. read more

Is anyone home!?!? We have been ghosted. After many attempts to contact anyone via phone and email, we have had no contact with the business. We have been trying to retrieve the PAID IN FULL slab sitting in the yard for 6 months now. The small portion of the warehouse is rented out to Stone Market and even the building owners are no help. Everyone on site refuses to help the Stone Market customers. Even with proof of purchase and photos of the piece that belongs to us. It's extremely disappointing, after months of searching for the right slab, to realize that I have lost my money to poor business. read more

Came to Stone Market with a friend to help her pick out granite for her kitchen. Met with Mike and Arielle. What impressed me most was the excellent customer service. They were friendly and professional. Mike spent hours with my friend listening to what she was hoping to accomplish and showing and moving around granite to give her a good view of her choices. After reading their information on their website, I was obliged to come by and see if this establishment was all about what they had advertised. Unfortunately I will never know as I stood in the lobby inside their warehouse waiting for somebody to help me. No less than a half dozen people walked around me, I'm sure at least four of them were employees, and barely acknowledged my existence and never said a word to me. There were some dilapidated signs that said something about calling somebody on the phone and such however, I felt it unnecessary as I was standing there encountering several staff look at me and walk right by me; but to no avail. I was invisible. Also, having a policy to call someone in the phone to come and help you at the store you are already physically standing in... already indicates that you are not putting the customer first... usually a bad sign for a purchase that will most likely be several hundred if not a thousand dollars... not a good business plan. Your customer is why you have a business. If you only deal with contractors, then do not advertise your business as "open to the public." I hope they get it right. In the meantime I'll be taking my business to another adjacent company as there are many granite slab companies within a few blocks of this place. read more

Stone Market was recommended to me, as I was looking for a remanent for a powder room vanity top. The customer service was over the top! seriously over the top! We stopped here while looking for tile and stone next door. Mike was extraordinarily helpful and spent quite a bit of time helping us search through remnants of quartzite slabs. We found an absolutely perfect piece of quartzite which Mike then sold to us for a very good price. We came back a couple of days later with tile samples to check their match with the stone and Mike once again spent a lot of time with us helping to match tiles and accent pieces with the stone. All in all, we could not be happier. One point to note is that Mike rents space in the yard and warehouse of the next door tile wholesaler. If he is not at the front desk, the tile shop employees (who dont work for Mike) may ignore you. Just call him... read more

I walked into stone market and was directed to call a phone number if I would like to have assistance. Their "bone yard" business is in the back, way past other vendor's wares. The assistance, selection, and prices are worth the extra effort in order to see what they have and experience their prices. But BEST of all are the owner Mike, and his daughter Arielle, who are very helpful and personable. Arielle has a flare for interior design, and she really took the time to work with me to make some countertop decisions. Mike is terrific! I had spent weeks shopping and couldn't find what I liked at my price point. I told Mike what I was looking for. He didn't have it himself but met me at another supplier, one off the main street, where there was something very similar that I really liked. I came across Stone Market looking for remnants for a desk. When I came in, there was a sign to call Mike for assistance. So I called. Got to talking with Mike, and he became a wealth of knowledge and fantastic resource. He helped me find materials not only for the desk, but for my kitchen. He bent over backwards to be helpful. I live a far distance from stone market so I made sure to call in advance to ask what their hours were that day. The owner Mike told assured me he would be there till 5 pm. Based on his assurance I arrived at stone market around 2:00 but Mike was no where to be found. He arrived about 1/2 hour later and I told him what I needed. He set my boyfriend and me loose in his yard but told me he had to leave at 3pm to go to a meeting. WHAT? Then he told me not to worry because his daughter Arielle could tag the slabs I was interested in and he would email me the prices the following day. There was only one problem. That problem was that I had to point them out quickly because he was returning back at 4 PM to pick up Arielle to take her to an appointment and was therefore closing his shop at 4PM instead of 5PM. WHAT? I specifically asked him over the phone only hours earlier if they actually stayed open till 5 and he laughingly said that as long as we were there 1 minute before 5 we were good to go. Why didn't he tell me then he wasn't going to be there and he was closing his shop early? Why not save me a trip I could have scheduled for another day? Needless to say, there were many slabs I was very interested in and Arielle put tags on them. She took my phone number and email down and told me she would email me the prices and the amount available in inventory the following day. Stone market NEVER CONTACTED ME! Over the period of a month I kept calling and leaving messages because no one ever contacted me and they never answered their phone. I left several messages because they actually had a few slabs I liked. I have given up on them and am truly disappointed at their lack of professionalism. As I had told them in the messages I left them, they could at least be courteous enough to pick up the phone and call, text or email me to tell me they could not accommodate me. Maybe it was a good thing that I didn't do business with this business since they are not professional and are irresponsible and flaky to say the least. read more

We went to Stone Market and Ariel helped us find a slab of granite. She was nice and gave us a reasonable price. She has three slabs of this granite, but two were hidden from view, so she was going to send us photos so that we can select one of the three. If she had said it was too hard to move them to take pictures we would have gone with the one we saw with some minor imperfections, but she was very easy going about it like it was no big deal so we went with it. She was going to send the photos on Monday. We waited a couple of days and thought maybe she didn't have the correct email address, so we called the number on the business card and left a message. No answer, no return call. Waited to the end of the week and called again. No answer, no return call. Now it is two weeks later, I called again and no answer, I didn't even bother to leave another message. We are beyond frustrated with this. We could have gone to another store and started the project right away. This is very unprofessional. I even asked if they changed their mind please give us a courtesy call so we can move on instead of waiting. We really liked what we found but this is unprofessional, unreliable and poor customer service! Makes you wonder how they would treat you (or not treating you since you can't get a hold of anyone) if there are issues. read more
