Olive Mill is not the most expensive nor the cheapest company to replace our tile countertops with granite. However, I do think that Olive Mill did a professional job on our kitchen. Valerie understood our exact needs/desires while consulting her with our countertop choices and provided quotes for a variety of options. She was very responsive with our many emails from my very picky, meticulous, engineer husband. He even wanted the granite backsplash to have a beveled detail (see photo). The men who came to measure and later install our countertops did a fabulous job (and they tried to keep our kitchen clean). I've included one side by side photo that show 2 different granite countertop seams with different lighting (see photo: the seams run along the middle). I am grateful that you can barely notice the granite countertop seams by sight/touch! By the way: Definitely take time to drive to where you're got buy the granite countertops from to look at the entire slab!! I had such high hopes based on the reviews. I texted Valerie on a Monday for an appointment on Wednesday. She never responded to me. I decided to stop by giving her the benefit of doubt that she was very busy. The showroom was empty. I did speak with Valerie and asked her why she never responded to me, no response. I gave her a second chance, explaining what I needed, she provided an estimate for the work to be done. Several weeks later I called her to ask a few questions and to request a date to proceed with the project. She did return my call many days later. I had no intention of adding a granite top to my kitchen island, but I accompanied my granddaughter to a slab yard as she was making a final decision on the cutting of a slab for a kitchen remodel. Olive Mill was flexible in the scheduling (and me adding on additional work because i ended up replacing my bathroom vanity as well) and kept me in the loop about the work and timeline for how long it would take to fabricate and install the countertops. The workmen take pride in their work and their craftsmanship was amazing. My boyfriend was suppose to just let them in to do the work, however he stayed the whole time and watched them, because he was so amazed at the attention to detail they had and how they were able to make my countertops out of one piece with no seam (and where there was a seam to connect to the wall it was razor thin and isn't noticeable at all). This is the second time we have used this company to fabricate a countertop for us. Both times they were extremely helpful. The first time we needed to find a granite product that matched another granite countertop we had used for phase I of our project. Valerie was extremely helpful in locating a company that had granite that closely matched what we had previously installed. This most recent project was a full kitchen remodel, and we had fallen in love with a particular brand of quartz. Valerie again was helpful in advising that she would provide us any make of quartz we wanted, however, she advised she had been having some customer service issues with the particular manufacture of the quartz we were considering, and suggested we might be better off trying to find another quartz that closely matched the one we had fallen in love with. we were able to find a substitution quartz, and decided to go with them. Boy, were we glad we did, because there ended up being a flaw in the material, and the company gladly replaced the entire slab for us, no questions asked. Valerie oversaw the replacement, sending her personal representative to the showroom to make sure we got a slab that was an exact match to what had been installed. She also kept in constant communication with us on the process, and put a rush on the fabrication once the slab was received. Such amazing service from start to finish! I needed a countertop for my outdoor kitchen. Olive Mill was able to instruct me how to measure my counters and provide me a quote very quickly! In August of 2017 we had a great experience from start to finish with Olive Mill. We were interested in Hi-Macs countertops for our kitchen. Valerie was very helpful when we visited the showroom.
