We had our kitchen cabinets and floors done in 2021/2022. The flooring was not properly installed and they did not sweep or clean the subfloor before installing the flooring. As a result, the flooring panels are cracking. They flooring and work are still within the warranty period and originally Joseph had said that he would send someone out to address the issue. He no showed twice, then ignored my texts, emails, and phone calls and never fixed any of the issues. I eventually gave up and just decided to write this review instead. I would not go with these guys if you want good quality. read more

He took his time explaining everything to me especially since all of this was pretty new to me. His prices were extremely reasonable compared to several other places I had called around for and all the work was done in a timely manner. This is belated by about two years now. But after a pleasant experience working with Joe and Choice Granite for a first project at my parents' house in 2020, we consulted Joe a second time for our newly built condo in 2021. Our builder only offered and pre-installed an assortment of granite countertops, but we strongly believed in the durability and aesthetic versatility of quartz. I had several criteria for a marble-look quartz countertop: a pure white color, a calacatta look, and a reasonable price point. Joe helped us narrow down our options, and we ultimately settled on Vena Grigio. We ran with this one, using it as a slab backsplash and even a waterfall (mitered edge) on the kitchen peninsula. What an upgrade this provided for an otherwise builder-grade kitchen! We recently sold our condo after a beautiful two years, having our eyes set on a new single-family residence. We recently purchased a home and wanted to remodel the kitchen with quartz countertops and backsplash. We started our research through yelp, friend recommendations, and also through our contractor's recommendations. From yelp, Choice Granite in Diamond Bar popped up and we liked what we read on the reviews and the pictures. We booked an appointment and met with Joe at the showroom who gave us all the information we needed and more. He educated us on decision choices that we did not even think about. After we got all the quotations together, we picked Choice Granite based off the cost and also we wanted to work with someone as attentive as Joe. We booked a time and date, and Joe's crew showed up on time with all the slabs of quartz in their truckbed. They measured, cut and installed the entire kitchen in 1 day. Please beware, it is VERY dusty cutting stone, so we recommend cutting the quartz in an outdoor space. At the end of the job, the crew cleaned up most of the dust from our yard and left us the remaining slabs in our garage. At the end, we are very satisfied with the end result and would definitely work with Joe again for any future projects. I have been wanting to remodel our kitchen for a very long time. Finally decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. So I started out searching for kitchen remodel online and Choice Granite popped up. Went into their website and Yelp. Read the reviews. Yes there were some bad ones, but there were also a lot of good reviews. So I have decided to give them a shot. Went back to their website and requested for an estimate. I told them I wanted to remodel my kitchen, but I was also on a very tight budget. Lol. The response was fairly quick cause I received a response from Greg, Joe's brother, which Joe was cc'd on the email. Joe works here at their Diamond Bar office. So I sent Joe an email and requested for an estimate. Joe stopped by after 2 weeks and took measurements of my kitchen. I told Joe I was in badly need of storage. The layout of my kitchen is a U shape and it small. No walls were being removed. He asked me what color cabinets I wanted, told him white cabinets on top and blue on the bottom. After he took measurements he wrote things down on his pad. He told me that he will be sending me the drawings in a few days. Just like Joe promised, received the 3D picture along with the price. I loved what I saw, but especially the price! So I showed my dad (since he owns the house). He gave me the . After a week or so, my Dad and I made an appt with Joe to stop by at the showroom to pick out the cabinets and countertops. I have to say that by going with Choice Granite was a great choice for us! Joe made things easy for us. Whenever I had a question, I just sent him an email or a quick text. When I was going back/forth with the backsplash. I found this place back in 2020 by searching locally and it had great reviews. After meeting Joe and his great customer service and prices, I knew I was going to go with him. He was very helpful and informative from start to finish. He helped me pick out quartz in my price range and even let me take samples home. His crew came and installed the countertops all in one day! I went with Fairy White it didn't have too much veining and I wanted something bright since I have a small kitchen and L shaped countertops. They did a waterfall which looks killer! His team did great job. They are good at what they do and it shows that they care cause they were a perfectionist in the install. I hugely recommend and would use them again for sure! Don't buy from this company. They run an unethical business, Greg and Joe do not care about their customers. We hired them to do our kitchen and we have had issues from their workers not showing up, to hiding damage, cutting counters the wrong size, leaving gaps, even spitting on our counters after we had caught that them trying to paint over a chip they had made during install all during COVID, leaving our kitchen unfinished after Multiple attempts to reach them and get them to do the ethical thing, and no response. This company does not finish work, their workers are not monitored. Do yourself the favor and hire another company. After going through several quotes with other places, we decided to go with Choice Granite. The price as low compared to other places and Joe was a pleasure to work with. He gave us so many ideas and options throughout the process until we finally came to an agreement. We wanted to extend our center kitchen island to expand the seating area. This is the third job for which we have used Choice Granite. I have read some of the negative reviews and was shocked. Joe communicated with us every step of the way. If there was a delay, it was because of rain. The finished product far exceeded my expectations. They also worked on one of my rentals and were great with coordinating with my tenant. They made the process so smooth that we had very little involvement (we live a distance from the property where the work was done) Joe took several trips to measure and then remeasure to ensure a proper installation. I got a good vibe when Greg came over for the initial estimate and it was nothing but smooth sailing afterwards. One thing that immediately impressed me was that he wasn't there just to make his company money. He had a grasp of what I was looking to do based on the questionnaire I filled out and our emails, and he worked to fulfill my vision. He explained what wasn't possible or a good idea based on my kitchen's layout and offered plenty of good suggestions. Once the work started, the professionalism, communication and consistency continued. Workers reached my home when they said they would and actually worked full days. I was asked plenty of questions for clarity along the way, Greg got back to me in a timely manner if there was a question/issue and time and care were put into the work (i.e. custom drawers I had installed behind the sink/dishwasher). We bought a house and were wanting to renovate the kitchen counters before moving in. My mother and I found several granite places on Yelp. She had gone and spoken to Joe and in the end, she said "well, he seemed like a nice guy, let's give him a try." I should've paid more attention to all the "nice guy, shit work" reviews because that was my experience. They were able to fit us into their schedule within 3-4 days. They came, ripped out the old tiles in the kitchen and installed Black Galaxy granite into counters and island. We had asked for a kitchen sink as well. Rojelio (or Rogelio, however you spell his name) was the granite installer and said he had nothing about a kitchen sink on his order. After several calls, we got a hold of Joe and he told us he had "forgotten" to add the sink. Okay, fine, human error, minor oversight, a guy went and got the sink and installed it, no biggie. 3 days later, when our handyman (who is a retired contractor and a family friend) was putting the faucet on the sink, he noticed a crack in the island (see pic). We hadn't moved into the house, it wasn't something we would've noticed because we weren't there. My mom called and texted Joe, sent him pictures of this crack and asked what happened. Joe said "the plumber must have put a lot of pressure on the island, they wouldn't leave it like that." Bullshit. 1. There was no plumber. 2. If I sit on these granite counters and they break, there's a problem, wtf does he mean "put pressure." 3. Crack was nowhere near the faucets side. Anyway, lots of back and forth texts and complaining, finally, he sends Rojelio back to re-do the island. At this point, we've moved into the house and the dust and crap we were hoping to avoid is now everywhere. Whatever, we dealt with it. Then we notice that the granite is beautifully glassy clear and polished on the surface and the bullnose is this a matte, dull, rippled finish. Again, my mom spoke to Joe, nicely telling him this is a concern, this isn't our first go-around with Granite in a house, please polish this. For 3 weeks, Joe gives her this 'I'm working on it" or "I'm getting in touch with Rojelio so he can come polish the bullnose" or "I'm asking Rojelio" or "Rojelio is going to get back to me with his schedule" run around. Finally, it's not until I go and get angry that he does something about this. After he complains to my mother that I yelled at him, he sends Rojelio out, who now suddenly can't speak a lick of English (he could before) and has brought some translator with him who tells my mom that this is as good as it ever gets. She disagrees and they leave without even the slightest effort. We try again with Joe. Two months of this back and forth nonsense with Joe now claiming that the bullnose came cut from the factory like that (then wtf were they cutting in our drive way? Why was the Island measured and why were we told he was going to cut it if it came pre-cut?) So we told him, "then get someone from the factory out here. It's not our first time with Granite in a house, this is NOT what it looks like." It's not until my mom coincidentally got in touch with Joe's father, that HE got a factory worker to come out and polish the bullnose. It's still not perfect, it still has ripples and bumps in it and it's still more dull than the top. Not to mention, Rojelio had left large cracks in the seam areas on the counter where two granite slabs join. Just be wary, he will kiss your ass and be all cloying and smiley but his workers do shit work and then don't own up to it. I'm thankful to his father (I think his name was Martin) for the effort he made; we're still not satisfied but after seeing the pictures, at least he owned up verbally that this isn't what a finished job is supposed to look like. I wouldn't recommend Joe or Choice Granite to anyone. If your work isn't done right the first time, don't expect these people to fix it. They give you the same BS about "we stand by our work and our product"...standing by shitty work and shitty products is nothing to be proud of, in my opinion. Pictures attached. read more

The whole process couldn't have been any easier. I just purchased a home and the kitchen needed an update. Everything was in good shape, it just had that "old" look to it. I first got an estimate from Home Depot. They wanted to refinish the whole kitchen for an ridiculous price! My wife and I decided to make the countertops the priority, since a whole kitchen remodel is out of our budget. I got another estimate from a local carpenter who quoted us an affordable price for laminate. Thinking granite would be out of our price range, I tried to get an estimate, just to see. I found Choice Granite on Yelp. Filled out their info page on their website. Greg replied within a few minutes. I sent him a picture of my countertop as well as a drawing with the layout and dimensions. By the end of the day, Greg sent me a quote that was well below what I expected to pay. My wife and I ended up going to their showroom in Diamond Bar because we wanted to see other granite options. Greg couldn't meet us, but his brother, Joe, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did choose a granite upgrade, but still within the price we wanted. I told Greg we need it installed by the end of the month. He came through and had his workers start the Monday after Thanksgiving. It's Wednesday and I have brand new, beautiful kitchen countertops!! I should have heeded all the negative reviews and used a different company. My experience dealing with Choice Granite was terrible due to poor cabinet installation and their refusal to correct their mistakes. 1) A drawer will not open all the way. When I first observed this prior to granite countertop installation, I requested them to move the peninsula down so the drawer can be opened all the way but they refused. 2) Then I learned that the peninsula was installed out of square which means it's skewed inwards. I have a U shaped kitchen layout. At the beginning of the peninsula, the distance is 63 3/4" but at the end of the peninsula, the distance is only 63". The mistake affected tile installation all around the peninsula. The tile installer had to cut and install angled tiles to accommodate the skewed peninsula. See photos. When I asked Joe to fix it, instead of acknowledging the mistake and fixing it he inferred that it was because my walls were out of square. His claim was false. The expert from the contractor board have confirmed that the cabinets were installed out of square. Despite his claim, the installer never asked to add a spacer prior to cabinet installation. If his claim was true, why did the installer refuse to move the peninsula down to correct the problem prior to granite countertop installation as I instructed? His claim that the issues have been corrected and the cabinets are "perfect" is false. Five months later, the peninsula is still skewed inwards and a drawer still won't open all the way. See photos. Phenomenal remodel of our kitchen. After considering and visiting a few kitchen remodel businesses, deciding on Choice Granite wasn't hard. It was extremely smooth and stress free right from the beginning. We sent out kitchen pictures and measurements to Joe, he sent us the 3-D rendering in no time. That gave a solid idea about the finished product. The entire process: demolition, and new installations was done within the promised time. Joe was very cooperative and was happy to work with our work schedule.. like tiles backsplash was done after a week, on a Saturday, as the tiles we liked were back ordered. Joseph is very professional and knowledgeable in his business. He's honest and trustworthy. He's the nicest guy. Charlie proved himself as a pro as the cabinets he installed turned out beautifully. The countertops are just what we wanted. Everyone who sees our new kitchen love the way it turned out. There were a few glitches that were not fixed at first, but Joseph saw to it that they were taken care of in a timely manner. The only complaint we have is that the old countertop wood that we had in the patio was not removed. My husband had to cut it up and trash it. So I am the first reviewer who's going to give Choice Granite a negative review. I agree with everyone on here, Greg is a nice guy and with grade A customer service skills. But this review is based on everything, from the many hours of waiting around only to be flaked on by him and his contractors, the extra 6-7 weeks it took to finish up the kitchen, the redo's because the contractor was incapable of correctly installing the stainless steel backsplash, etc. To me, he is too nice of a guy... to his workers who gave himself and his business a bad name. At least to us. No I did not have to cough up the $15k spent on remodeling the kitchen even though I will be using the term "WE" a lot... I am writing this review because I was the one who found Choice Granite on Yelp, read all of the great reviews, encourages and pushed someone who needed total remodeling, to go with them, instead of Home Depot and another local Kitchen remodeling company. First off, the design was done by Home Depot who really did a great job. We took the design to Greg, hoping he would be able to give us a better deal. We were told that the whole process would take about a week... 8 weeks later, for the amount that we would have paid Home Depot, we have a kitchen with the finish, backsplash, counter top and missing extras perks on cabinets. It is a good looking kitchen if you don't look at it too closely and for the amount, we were hoping to get exactly what we wanted. Now, this is not entirely Greg's fault but the false promises and the length of time it took was just frustrating and disappointing. A quick run down of the issues. 1. First appointment with Greg for a consultation. He stood us up and he could not be reached. Maybe it was a sign? I still had high hope for Greg so we gave him another chance. 2. After the deposit, Greg told us that the cabinets that we chose (espresso with slow close drawers) were no longer available. We ended up having to get a cheaper version which the contractor insisted we change because it was "hard to put together." Were we going to go with a color we hated? Changing the material was annoying enough and on top of that, this particular brand did not come with slow close. YES, we requested the deposit back but Greg said he had paid the contractors wanted us to give him a chance... 3. On the day that the countertop was suppose to be delivered, they told us the one we chose was unavailable. We were forced to choose one that matched the new cabinets. Twice. 4. The cabinet contractor did not put covers on our furniture or put up plastic sheets around the kitchen. After demolition, everything... EVERYTHING was covered in dust. The backyard was a mess. The pool had particles and trash in it. Paint and mixtures on the cement. No respect for the property. 5. The quartz does not have a smooth appearance. They also installed it incorrectly so another contractor (Armondo) had to come and fix it. 6. The back splash contractors (Carlos) flaked on us about 3 times and could not get the stainless steel back splashed on correctly. They were dented, crooked, jagged, etc... Greg had them come twice and it still was not applied properly. On top of that, they opened up chips that I had purchased and had their way with it... There is still scraps of their work in the backyard. Again, no respect for the property... There were a hand full of appointments we made with this contractor and they flaked on us. We were beyond frustrated at this point. Greg apologized a number of times but did we get what we wanted? No. 7. Because we were fed up with the back splash, we chose a different one that should have been easier to apply. Upon closer inspection, it is still not great. But at the point, its just easier to look away. 8. They demolished the upper cabinets but did not fix or paint the celling after the range hood contractor replaced it with the new range hood... we are expected to pay someone else to fix and paint an area that they took apart... Did you notice that we had to work with three contractos for one job? It was such a headache and a traumatizing experience for me. In the future if I ever have to remodel, I am going with a bigger company like Home Depot, even though it may take months, I'll at least get what I am paying for. Again, Greg is a nice guy but these reviews should be based on the overall experience with the business, not just on the niceness of an individual. read more

Our kitchen cabinets were damaged by a water leak and the insurance gave us a budget to work with. We with with Choice and they did a GREAT job and stayed within our budget. We were very happy with their work and even when one of the cabinet doors showed a small hairline crack months later they came back and replaced it for free. read more

Very professional service and great prices... how can you go wrong? You can't go wrong. I combed a long list of cabinet and granite counter top companies. Choice Granite had some of the best deals out there. Plus, they have showrooms in several areas. I was able to visit their showroom in Long Beach/Lakewood. That allowed me to carefully pick out the counter top that I wanted. Then, I was able to work out great pricing on installation. It turned out to be a 2 half day project. The first day, they came out and removed existing tile work. I was happy to see that go. Then, they prepared the area for the granite by cleaning and re-enforcing the existing cabinets. When they returned the next day, the workmen methodically and carefully cut and placed the granite counter tops in the kitchen. When all was said and done, a beautiful kitchen was the end result. Full Kitchen remodel just finished. And WOW!!! I'm in love.... Choice Granite more specifically Joseph went above and beyond our expectations. This company does all in one and that is what we wanted. We didn't want to piece work it and get a counter guy, a cabinet guy and a tile guy. It was just to much work researching and trying to hire the best one. Both Joseph and Greg (from Pasadena Location) were easy and pleasant to work with. The made things smooth and gave great recommendations when needed. The installation process was a breeze. First guy came in and installed the cabinets, he worked long and hard and did a phenomenal job all by himself. Second guy ( counter top) came a week later and installed the quartz counter top. All the cuts and corners were perfect and completed nicely. Last guy (tiled backsplash) finished off with our beautiful Arabesque tiles. The price we could not beat. For everything we choose, we think the money was very fair. If we would of gone somewhere else it would of been twice the price. Choice Granite & Cabinets are great people to work with. Kevin and I have terrible luck with the color green: our starter house had vomit green carpet (as if the girl from Exorcist happened in there) and by some serious misfortune, so did our new one. A quick Yelp search resulted with Choice Granite on my radar but my hopes were low as I was looking for floors and they obviously appear to specialize in granite. Turns out, I was in for a pleasant surprise! We popped in the Diamond Bar showroom for a consult with Joe and afterwards, we were pretty much prepared to move forward with every project we discussed. Somehow, kitchen upgrades and a full bathroom remodel got mixed in with the simple floor replacement. Things that I need in this life include a white farmhouse sink and I just couldn't resist especially since the prices were so reasonable. So reasonable, in fact, that haggling was not required... And I'm Chinese, haggling is ALWAYS required! So far, I've got the floors done and they're a beautiful deep cocoa wood that I'm simply in love with. Ok fine, they're laminate but who's keeping track! Joe is awesome to deal with...I'm a huge stickler for prompt responses and he is definitely on his game. His crew has been punctual, super nice and damn, are they fast on their feet! They did meticulous work on the baseboards especially when a 400sqft add-on proved to be a problematic pain in the ass, and they even brought in my many oversized UPS deliveries and stacked them neatly in the house. Not only would I recommend Choice Granite to anyone that needs work done in their home, but they will certainly be my first call should I have future remodeling needs. We shopped around and found Choice Granite based on all the good Yelp reviews. We initially contacted Greg, but ultimately worked with Joe out of the Diamond Bar location. The communication was excellent during the whole process. When we met with Joe he was forth coming and laid out the process and showed us samples of cabinets and tiles. Joe always returned emails and text messages promptly and if things didn't go as initially planned, he worked diligently to make it right. The contractors he sent to do our kitchen did excellent work, however; they all ran into hiccups with the scheduling process and delayed the process a tad longer. Joe apologized for the delays and made certain they came to finalize the details. That was extremely frustrating but Joe was professional through the whole ordeal. We truly love our new kitchen! Choice Granite performed the demo, tiled the kitchen, pantry, laundry room and downstairs bathroom floors. They installed new antique white cabinets with moldings, black galaxy granite, and travertine tile backsplash. The quality of the materials and craftsmanship are great! If it wasn't for the scheduling hiccups, Choice Granite would have received the 5 star rating. We would definitely recommend them and will definitely use them for our master bath renno in the future. We were very happy with our countertops and the quality of service we received. We chose Choice granite after getting several estimates. Greg was able to educate us in the different options available as well as the ability of going with a pre-fab top. This was a significant savings over the other bids. Greg also had great customer service. We were not happy with the island as it was cut too small and didn't look right.
