This is belated by about two years now. But after a pleasant experience working with Joe and Choice Granite for a first project at my parents' house in 2020, we consulted Joe a second time for our newly built condo in 2021. Our builder only offered and pre-installed an assortment of granite countertops, but we strongly believed in the durability and aesthetic versatility of quartz. I had several criteria for a marble-look quartz countertop: a pure white color, a calacatta look, and a reasonable price point. Joe helped us narrow down our options, and we ultimately settled on Vena Grigio. We ran with this one, using it as a slab backsplash and even a waterfall (mitered edge) on the kitchen peninsula. What an upgrade this provided for an otherwise builder-grade kitchen! We recently sold our condo after a beautiful two years, having our eyes set on a new single-family residence. Amongst the upgrades and designer elements we put into the condo, our countertops in our kitchen undoubtedly were paramount in attracting buyers. All in all, we owe a lot to Joe; he was patient and informative as always in guiding us through our renovation. We are already in the talks of a third project through Choice Granite for next home, and we are confident that he and his team will deliver top-notch service and quality of work. Thank you!

I have been wanting to remodel our kitchen for a very long time. Finally decided to bite the bullet and just go for it. So I started out searching for kitchen remodel online and Choice Granite popped up. Went into their website and Yelp. Read the reviews. Yes there were some bad ones, but there were also a lot of good reviews. So I have decided to give them a shot. Went back to their website and requested for an estimate. I told them I wanted to remodel my kitchen, but I was also on a very tight budget. Lol. The response was fairly quick cause I received a response from Greg, Joe's brother, which Joe was cc'd on the email. Joe works here at their Diamond Bar office. So I sent Joe an email and requested for an estimate. Joe stopped by after 2 weeks and took measurements of my kitchen. I told Joe I was in badly need of storage. The layout of my kitchen is a U shape and it small. No walls were being removed. He asked me what color cabinets I wanted, told him white cabinets on top and blue on the bottom. After he took measurements he wrote things down on his pad. He told me that he will be sending me the drawings in a few days. Just like Joe promised, received the 3D picture along with the price. I loved what I saw, but especially the price! So I showed my dad (since he owns the house). He gave me the . After a week or so, my Dad and I made an appt with Joe to stop by at the showroom to pick out the cabinets and countertops. I have to say that by going with Choice Granite was a great choice for us! Joe made things easy for us. Whenever I had a question, I just sent him an email or a quick text. When I was going back/forth with the backsplash. Whether to go with the full height or the 6 inch (trying to save $). He sent me revised 3D of what it would look like. Finally decided to go with the full height. So I stopped by the showroom to look at some backsplashes. He also mentioned that I could buy the tiles from other stores if they were cheaper. Which I did. Bought the tiles from Floor & Decor. When I saw the tiles I liked, I sent Joe the links, sent me 3D pictures of what they would look like. Also gave me the info on how many I needed to purchase. Overall, I am very happy how the kitchen turned out! Working with Joe and his crews was a great experience for me and my dad. We are soooo happy we went with Choice Granite. We will DEFINITELY hire them again....trying to convince my dad to remodel his bathroom. Lol. I would DEFINITELY recommend Choice Granite to anyone. You can't go wrong with Joe.

I found this place back in 2020 by searching locally and it had great reviews. After meeting Joe and his great customer service and prices, I knew I was going to go with him. He was very helpful and informative from start to finish. He helped me pick out quartz in my price range and even let me take samples home. His crew came and installed the countertops all in one day! I went with Fairy White it didn't have too much veining and I wanted something bright since I have a small kitchen and L shaped countertops. They did a waterfall which looks killer! His team did great job. They are good at what they do and it shows that they care cause they were a perfectionist in the install. I hugely recommend and would use them again for sure! Very pleased and happy customer.

I hired Choice Granite & Kitchen Cabinets after considering a couple other candidates to build and install two custom bathroom vanities and cabinets for the laundry room. The quoted price was fair and reasonable and my communications with the owner, Joe, was excellent from start to finish. Everything went as expected and the install dates were right on schedule. Superb build quality and workmanship and would definitely recommend and hire again for future cabinetry projects!

Don't buy from this company. They run an unethical business, Greg and Joe do not care about their customers. We hired them to do our kitchen and we have had issues from their workers not showing up, to hiding damage, cutting counters the wrong size, leaving gaps, even spitting on our counters after we had caught that them trying to paint over a chip they had made during install all during COVID, leaving our kitchen unfinished after Multiple attempts to reach them and get them to do the ethical thing, and no response. This company does not finish work, their workers are not monitored. Do yourself the favor and hire another company. We will be reporting them to all city as business authorities, as well as taking them to court. If you don't want this to potentially happen to you just find another company to hire. Your company is a joke your response is a joke - you have all the emails and Joe you refused to respond until I posted on Yelp and Facebook - your obligation is to finish the work not your employees - by the way you had 2 crews - get your facts straight - Charlie and your quartz crew which was a team of three workers - In every email you apologized and took ownership of the fact that you failed. Proof is pictures Joe and videos - we never once said anything to your employees only caught them hiding and lying and calling us racially slurs in Spanish - how dare you try to lie - I will do you a favor I'll just file claims - You can try and fool the public but proof is proof and we all know the truth - and as a favor I'll update the posts with your apologies so people can see your true nature - Learn to be better and have ethics - take responsibility for your failures as a license holder By the way a woman can speak for herself - my husband does not speak for me, and his professionalism has nothing to do with your lack of delivery. He has never once brought his law license into us hiring your company. I have freedom of speech to say that I am unhappy with the service you provided - deflection is not a good quality. Anyone reading this post look at all the other negative reviews where people say this company tries to silence or disrepute their concerns. I'm not the only one

After going through several quotes with other places, we decided to go with Choice Granite. The price as low compared to other places and Joe was a pleasure to work with. He gave us so many ideas and options throughout the process until we finally came to an agreement. We wanted to extend our center kitchen island to expand the seating area. So many quartz to choose from in their showroom and we were able to match almost exactly to what we currently have. Extremely pleased with how everything turned out. I just wished it was a 1 day demo and install, as it was completed in two days for two weekends. But the demo and installers were very professional and did a great job!

I choose the best quality for the best price thats why I choose this Choice Granite. the owner Joseph was very patient with me for any changes that comes to my mind regarding the plan for kitchen updates. My family were amazed with their job from demolition of kitchen to installation of cabinets and installation of quartz were great!

Joe's crew has done a great job in putting the tiles and laminate flooring at my house. He also had done a great job on our bathrooms renovation in couple years back. Very satisfied with the quality of the service and also the materials that he provided. Joe is a very honest owner who always provides reasonable price, down to earth advice, no hidden fees even if you are not expert in this field. Very recommended!!

Crack in Granite, Joe blamed this on "the plumber putting pressure"
    Cheshire C.

We bought a house and were wanting to renovate the kitchen counters before moving in. My mother and I found several granite places on Yelp. She had gone and spoken to Joe and in the end, she said "well, he seemed like a nice guy, let's give him a try." I should've paid more attention to all the "nice guy, shit work" reviews because that was my experience. They were able to fit us into their schedule within 3-4 days. They came, ripped out the old tiles in the kitchen and installed Black Galaxy granite into counters and island. We had asked for a kitchen sink as well. Rojelio (or Rogelio, however you spell his name) was the granite installer and said he had nothing about a kitchen sink on his order. After several calls, we got a hold of Joe and he told us he had "forgotten" to add the sink. Okay, fine, human error, minor oversight, a guy went and got the sink and installed it, no biggie. 3 days later, when our handyman (who is a retired contractor and a family friend) was putting the faucet on the sink, he noticed a crack in the island (see pic). We hadn't moved into the house, it wasn't something we would've noticed because we weren't there. My mom called and texted Joe, sent him pictures of this crack and asked what happened. Joe said "the plumber must have put a lot of pressure on the island, they wouldn't leave it like that." Bullshit. 1. There was no plumber. 2. If I sit on these granite counters and they break, there's a problem, wtf does he mean "put pressure." 3. Crack was nowhere near the faucets side. Anyway, lots of back and forth texts and complaining, finally, he sends Rojelio back to re-do the island. At this point, we've moved into the house and the dust and crap we were hoping to avoid is now everywhere. Whatever, we dealt with it. Then we notice that the granite is beautifully glassy clear and polished on the surface and the bullnose is this a matte, dull, rippled finish. Again, my mom spoke to Joe, nicely telling him this is a concern, this isn't our first go-around with Granite in a house, please polish this. For 3 weeks, Joe gives her this 'I'm working on it" or "I'm getting in touch with Rojelio so he can come polish the bullnose" or "I'm asking Rojelio" or "Rojelio is going to get back to me with his schedule" run around. Finally, it's not until I go and get angry that he does something about this. After he complains to my mother that I yelled at him, he sends Rojelio out, who now suddenly can't speak a lick of English (he could before) and has brought some translator with him who tells my mom that this is as good as it ever gets. She disagrees and they leave without even the slightest effort. We try again with Joe. Two months of this back and forth nonsense with Joe now claiming that the bullnose came cut from the factory like that (then wtf were they cutting in our drive way? Why was the Island measured and why were we told he was going to cut it if it came pre-cut?) So we told him, "then get someone from the factory out here. It's not our first time with Granite in a house, this is NOT what it looks like." It's not until my mom coincidentally got in touch with Joe's father, that HE got a factory worker to come out and polish the bullnose. It's still not perfect, it still has ripples and bumps in it and it's still more dull than the top. Not to mention, Rojelio had left large cracks in the seam areas on the counter where two granite slabs join. Just be wary, he will kiss your ass and be all cloying and smiley but his workers do shit work and then don't own up to it. I'm thankful to his father (I think his name was Martin) for the effort he made; we're still not satisfied but after seeing the pictures, at least he owned up verbally that this isn't what a finished job is supposed to look like. I wouldn't recommend Joe or Choice Granite to anyone. If your work isn't done right the first time, don't expect these people to fix it. They give you the same BS about "we stand by our work and our product"...standing by shitty work and shitty products is nothing to be proud of, in my opinion. Pictures attached.

My new granite countertop. I chose their black & white granite option.

The whole process couldn't have been any easier. I just purchased a home and the kitchen needed an update. Everything was in good shape, it just had that "old" look to it. I first got an estimate from Home Depot. They wanted to refinish the whole kitchen for an ridiculous price! My wife and I decided to make the countertops the priority, since a whole kitchen remodel is out of our budget. I got another estimate from a local carpenter who quoted us an affordable price for laminate. Thinking granite would be out of our price range, I tried to get an estimate, just to see. I found Choice Granite on Yelp. Filled out their info page on their website. Greg replied within a few minutes. I sent him a picture of my countertop as well as a drawing with the layout and dimensions. By the end of the day, Greg sent me a quote that was well below what I expected to pay. My wife and I ended up going to their showroom in Diamond Bar because we wanted to see other granite options. Greg couldn't meet us, but his brother, Joe, was very knowledgeable and helpful. We did choose a granite upgrade, but still within the price we wanted. I told Greg we need it installed by the end of the month. He came through and had his workers start the Monday after Thanksgiving. It's Wednesday and I have brand new, beautiful kitchen countertops!! My wife is very happy with their work and I'm happy with their prices and customer service. I've already recommended them to my co-workers!!

Before the granite was installed, the drawer wouldn't open all the way because it was hitting the handle of the other drawer.

I should have heeded all the negative reviews and used a different company. My experience dealing with Choice Granite was terrible due to poor cabinet installation and their refusal to correct their mistakes. 1) A drawer will not open all the way. When I first observed this prior to granite countertop installation, I requested them to move the peninsula down so the drawer can be opened all the way but they refused. 2) Then I learned that the peninsula was installed out of square which means it's skewed inwards. I have a U shaped kitchen layout. At the beginning of the peninsula, the distance is 63 3/4" but at the end of the peninsula, the distance is only 63". The mistake affected tile installation all around the peninsula. The tile installer had to cut and install angled tiles to accommodate the skewed peninsula. See photos. When I asked Joe to fix it, instead of acknowledging the mistake and fixing it he inferred that it was because my walls were out of square. His claim was false. The expert from the contractor board have confirmed that the cabinets were installed out of square. Despite his claim, the installer never asked to add a spacer prior to cabinet installation. If his claim was true, why did the installer refuse to move the peninsula down to correct the problem prior to granite countertop installation as I instructed? His claim that the issues have been corrected and the cabinets are "perfect" is false. Five months later, the peninsula is still skewed inwards and a drawer still won't open all the way. See photos. Furthermore, he never came by to see the problem for himself despite my requests.

Thank you, Joe, from Choice Granite for remodeling my kitchen. I love it and so does my dog.

The shelves collapsed because of loose screws from lazy installers at Taranto Construction, Inc. It's infuriating to have to pay someone to come solve an issue that goes back to completely loose screws in the hardware that would've taken an extra 5 seconds to properly tighten at the initial install. But they know people won't see it, so they cut corners. DO NOT EVER USE TARANTO CONSTRUCTION INC in Claremont CA for a kitchen install, or any Lowe's in the surrounding area, as this is who they refer the work to. After spending a short amount of time with Walter, it's clear he knows what he is doing and is a professional. He even tightened and adjusted other cabinet doors in our kitchen he noticed issues with that had nothing to do with the cabinet shelves he came to fix. Walter worked with us to pick the right product and colors. We went with Shinnoki real wood veneer panels. They are beautiful and durable. Once they got the veneer up, they routed then hand-filed all of the openings. Then that meticulously painted the face frames to match the veneer. They even painted around the drawers where you can see very little of the painting they did. That shows a lot of pride! Walter also gave us the look of frameless cabinets even though we would have had to replace the cabinet boxes in order to make them frameless. That's a lot of extra work. We got a custom job for less than the price of a non-custom job. In the photos you can see the detail I'm talking about. I've included before and after pictures. The before pictures are all dark, ugly drawers and doors. The after pictures are the modern, two-tone look. In one photo in which I have a drawer pulled out with hot pads in it, Walter designed that and made it fit. There was not a drawer in there before because it's under the stove and the gas line was in the way. But Walter moved it. Walter's very conscientious and not afraid to tell you if he thinks something is not going to look good. He'll do whatever you want, but we learned that he knows what he's talking about. The flooring is peeling throughout the house, including at the edge of our stairs, which is both disappointing and concerning. When I noticed the damage, I searched online and saw that the same product, Los Angeles Collection, Hancock Park was still listed on their website. I called ahead to confirm availability, and the sales associate told me they had 100 pieces in stock. Based on that, I went into the store and purchased two pieces. After the purchase, I was told the product wasn't in that warehouse and I would need to wait 30 minutes while they checked another location. Thirty minutes later, I was then told the item was discontinued and no longer available anywhere. This was incredibly frustrating, especially since the product is still listed on their website and still shows as in stock in their system, which is how I was able to purchase it in the first place. Even the sales associate was unaware it had been discontinued. Long story short: the product quality is poor, and even more troubling is the lack of organization, communication, and accuracy in their inventory and business practices. Our installation team of David, Alex, Eduardo, and Jose O were incredible. We are not the easiest customers because we are super picky but also know very little about this stuff, so it took us a lot of time to research every detail and figure out exactly what we wanted and they were so patient with us through the entire process! We began in August with a stop by their beautiful showroom after a recommendation from my Aunt who had used them recently. From the moment we walked in the door, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful and we wasted no time in scheduling an appointment for a free in-home estimate. Design Consultant, Juan, came out to do preliminary measurements, discuss what we wanted, and give us a quote. He spent a few hours in our home going over options and answering our questions and was so professional and helpful! We were thankful he wasn't pushy in any way, and after learning they custom build everything, so there would be no wasted space with fillers that other companies use with prefabricated cabinets, we knew this was the right choice for us! Juan sent us a preliminary rendering, 8 oversized 11x17" pages and then there was lots of back and forth by email and phone and in-person meetings in their showroom as we figured out exactly what we wanted. I think we had a total of 5 revisions! Juan was very responsive, helpful, & patient throughout this process that took about two months because of US! The next step was to have even more precise measurements done by Surveyor, Nathan. Again, very professional, helpful, and patient! He came to our home to do this, which was followed with lots of back and forth emails, calls, and meetings to answer our questions and help us finalize our design. This took almost an additional three months and about 10 sets of revisions to drawings because we went through each set with a fine tooth comb, as we figured out exactly what we wanted and didn't. By the time we signed off on everything in December, we were confident with the design and excited for them to begin production and schedule the demo/installation! In the meantime, they sent us to meet with the tile company they work with to choose our backsplash. (I will write a separate review, but also extremely happy with them! Kelli, Erica, & Jen in the shop really helped me so much and saved me from making some really bad choices. Super friendly and really know their stuff! Excellent installer, Edvin, & field supervisor, Claude)! Next, three full days of DEMO by team of very hard workers: Ruben (Lead), Miguel, Alfredo, & Fausto! These men did such an excellent job in every way! They were professional, friendly, & highly skilled, and by the time they finished, our kitchen was a blank canvas with new electrical outlets, wiring, and updated plumbing finishes. Next we had a planned work stop to remove old wallpaper and address a separate plumbing issue and it was during this time that Mr. Cabinet Care delivered our cabinets! It felt like Christmas morning! An entire truck full that filled our garage! Armani was very skilled at unloading and fitting everything in the limited space we have! Meanwhile, Mr. Cabinet Care was able to source the quartz slab we fell in love with and had our heart set on, even though it was on back order. Now it was time for the installation team: Ruben (same as for the Demo days) with Rommy, Saul, & Jose. These guys are also extremely professional, friendly, & skilled and worked so hard for 4 full days! They installed all the cabinets/drawers, knobs/pulls hardware, under-cabinet lighting, & sink! During this time, they sent the stone vendor to our home to create a template for our quartz countertop. (Very happy with this company as well & will write a separate review). By now, our kitchen is almost complete, but my husband basically went over everything with a magnifying glass and had a few things he wanted addressed so Field Supervisor, Fausto, returned to take care of every last thing! Fausto is a SUPER STAR! Next, the counter and backsplash were installed. Field Supervisor, Claude, delivered the supplies in advance and confirmed plans with us. Then, Edvin, spent two full days, installing the backsplash perfectly! It's time for the final touches! Mr. Cabinet Care sent Jose & Alex out for a full day (along with Supervisor, Fausto) to install kitchen sink, potfiller, all our appliances, custom drawer inserts, etc. These guys worked so hard! We are so close now! But there's just one thing I don't love so Fausto comes up with a genius way to finish off the sink design with a custom trim that he creates a template for and then returns to install. Now we can honestly say our kitchen is PERFECT and we absolutely LOVE it! Thank you to everyone at Mr. CC for creating our DREAM KITCHEN! Your whole team is the ABSOLUTE BEST! Worth every penny!

Not only was she very quick and responsive, she also went out of her way to get answers with regard to led lighting, delivery stock, etc. I have called in before and i spoke to someone who couldn't provide any answers related to my order and continued to note that there was no way of knowing if they have my order. I even asked what do you know? Do i have half my orders? Is it in stock currently? I am picking up the order tomorrow, what can you tell me? And i was constantly provided with unhelpful non answers. Had we had to deal with this individual, we would not rate cabinet city so highly as there was not even a let me check with warehouse (right across in the adjacent building). There was basically a lack of knowledge or willingness to help (instead of saying i am not sure but i will find out, i get it there is no way of knowing). I am thankful Sherry was our go to person and i am also thankful to the warehouse staff who stepped up to help while the person behind the desk was ignoring customers and not even informing of a wait or someone going on break. Instead someone from the warehouse who picked my order came to me directly to help without me asking. Although every place has their pros and cons, i would say that this place is very lucky to have people like Sherry and the warehouse operators. In terms of product, i am not yet able to comment on the received materials as they are still in their boxes, but my wife and i do love the options at cabinet city especially compared to other companies out there. Pricing is more than fair as well. Picking up the order was also very straightforward and easy. So overall, the positives simply outweigh the negatives. I will post any updates if there is anything new on my end once the cabinets are assembled.

A long overdue review for CustomBuilt-Ins…read more We can't thank Doug and Eric enough for everything they did for us. We had a water leak in our kitchen Memorial Day of 2025. Repipe complete, then the builder came in. The project was to replace the island, lower cabinets of one wall, and repaint the kitchen. They took our check and started. Then virtually no progress in June, July, August, September, and October. I eventually drove to their shop to get my cabinets as they were unable to return them. We reached out to Doug at the beginning of November and he said they could help us out. They custom built and installed our island. They rebuilt our custom kitchen cabinets, and finished the kitchen painting. We were asking them to come in and finish a project that they had no history or familiarity with what we wanted, right before Thanksgiving. Doug and Eric spent time talking and working with us so we were all on the same page. Schedules made, notification messages of arrivals, and we always had a clear understanding of what will be done each day. We hope to have them back for other projects, and have recommended them to friends and family. THANK YOU CustomBuilt-ins !!

Doug was friendly, thorough in explaining everything, responsive and accommodating to requests and problem issues during the entire process. The foreman, Erik, is a master craftsman carpenter. He is detail-oriented and skilled at what he does. We also had another closet that just needed to be re-balanced, and Erik fixed that like it was a piece of cake. He went above and beyond to make sure all of the drawers were straightened and drawer pulls were tightened in that closet as well. The entire team knew exactly what we wanted and how to execute the project from beginning to end. We are hoping to do more projects with them in the future!
