Steven was an absolute rockstar; he was very patient, attentive, and didn't make us feel pressured whatsoever. One of the concerns we had was related to transporting of the couch itself as we had originally intended to pick it up by SUV. In expressing our concerns to Steven, he went out of his way to request that his supervisor locate the exact dimensions of the sofa as it would be delivered in the two separate boxes (H x W x D) as well as the weight of each box for the delivery. Moreover, despite the couch being sold out online, Steven went out of his way to coordinate with his manager an timely delivery date that fell within our work availabilities much earlier than we had anticipated given the online estimate. We had been sofa shopping for a few weekends before we decided to go to Ashley. We went to a few chain stores and had no luck and high-pressure sales tactics. When we walked into Ashley, we were initially expecting the same. We were greeted by Kiet who asked exactly what we were looking for (high back, high arm rests, removable seat, covers, within our budget, and high-performance fabric to hold up to our cat!) and took us to the area of the store that had items with our exact specifications. Within just a few minutes, we found our couch! It hasn't been delivered yet, but I just wanted to take a minute to give this place a shout out. Large store full of beautiful furniture. They have everything from couches to dining tables, side tables, office desks, rugs and much more. I love that they place sets together that seem to go with each other. It really helped me visualize what our living room might look like. When we entered we were greeted by a nice sales rep who gave us the layout of the space and let us look around ourselves. We bought a whole recliner set for our living room like almost 2 years ago. like two months ago one of them broke down. We bought a 5 yr warranty, which we paid couple hundred dollars. We called them, they took down the recliner model and serial number, then 2-3 weeks later someone finally comes down to check- they take the parts that need repairs and told us new ones will be shipped to our house. Another 2-3 weeks go by nothing, so we called again and they said give them till end of the month so we again waited. 2 months have gone by and still no repair, they keep giving us the runaround about third party and started asking us for the recliner information again. Just few days ago, we had to pay more money to actually have someone come home and fix the issues. We find out that one of the parts they took wasn't even bad and it was only a switch. As soon as I called up to see if I could return, they said there was nothing they were going to do and that since we didn't reject it upon delivery, there was nothing way for return. So no, you can't return anything that doesn't work for you. The carpet ended up being a different color than we originally thought it was. It didn't fit the decor we had. I wanted to go back to see if we could get a different color just to get a better look in my house. But no. Now I'm paying for a carpet I don't even like. That's what gets me the most. My wife and I decided to purchase a Sectional from Ashley's for a couple of reasons. #1 reason that so many of us Americans can relate to is the Terms in regards to Financing through synchrony bank. Our purchase was around $4,200 Of Course we all know is over priced but what can you do they are one of the few companies again to offer financing. Our sales rep was polite & professional no complaints there. As far as the stores Customer service department & General Store Manager who hide behind closed doors not wanting to introduce herself to my wife was unprofessional & down right rude. We made the purchase my wife was more than qualified and approved for the purchase, unfortunately when the first bill came in the mail I noticed it was only the 12 months defer payment thus making it a $350 a month payment to have it covered in 12 months... that's a car payment. Online, via commercials they brag about the 12,24,36,48,60 & even 72 months payment wow !!! I then called the store the lady said "Sorry but once the product is delivered and you signed for it that's a done deal" Hmm excuse me but since when does Defer finance have anything to do with the product and the sale. Either way your getting your money and then some on a couch that was clearly made for a price range of about $700-$1,000 in materials and labor let's be real. We all know watching shark tank on tv that everyone Marks up 300%. I then contacted both Corp & Synchrony Bank. Mind you both on "Recored lines" and they said " all the store has to do is submit a code and change the defer interest months" simple.... Nope we will never ever buy from Ashley store again & I'm going to recommend that no one buys from them. I rarely leave reviews but don't buy any Ashley furniture. Their wholesale and retail divisions have entirely different inventory and they do not communicate with each other. I've spent months trying to find replacement cushions for my outdoor Ashley sectional and nobody at Ashley can tell me what the sofa is despite my having tags from cushions and sending photos/measurements. Their cushions have 2 different tags that are needed for them to identify the type. I thought the outside cushion tag that says "Made for Ashley" with a product code would be sufficient however there is apparently also a tag inside the cushion that is needed from cushions that are now thrown away. I now have an outdoor sectional that I will need to throw away because Ashley cannot help me locate the type of cushions I need to purchase for it. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could This store is a scam! I came in to shop for a few things I needed for my home late may. My intention was never to buy my mattress here, but since I was already there I decided to put my trust into this store and purchase my mattress with the adjusting frame. I spent a few thousand dollars here, and my intention was to go back and buy my dining room set next month. However, I had called this store early June because as I was changing my mattress cover, I noticed threads that were unraveling. I immediately let them know because I have only had this mattress for a few weeks. The rep told me everything will be figured out and that they were going to send a technician to my home to inspect the mattress. Mind you, I sleep alone. I do not have animals, pets nothing which I communicated with the rep and he understood. It was simply a defect. I told the rep I would tape it for the time being so the holes don't get any bigger. He said that is fine and to not worry about anything. They scheduled my inspection for 2 weeks!!! They claimed that was the soonest they had. 2 days before the inspection, the inspection was cancelled due to "a thorough inspection" they decided that the "damage" was not covered under my warranty. This is crazy!!! What thorough inspection?? They cancelled the inspection!!!! They refused to keep this appointment for the inspection, so now I'm stuck with a mattress with holes future bed bugs and bacteria that will seep into the mattress. For two weeks I was stuck waiting for this inspection with holes in my mattress, how is it okay to let your customer sleep on a mattress with holes which will attract bacteria to seep in. I spent thousands in this store to get a defected product and no help from the store to remedy this issue!!! They are a complete scam! I should have went to sit n sleep down the street from Ashley. They don't want to answer my calls nor transfer me to a manager. I was put on hold a few times and was hung up on several times. We purchased a white 5-piece sectional, and what was delivered was dirty, torn, and clearly used. This was not a minor issue -- the furniture looked as though it had already been in someone else's home. This situation has now dragged on for over THREE MONTHS. We have repeatedly tried to resolve this, only to be told there is no management available, no corporate address, and no corporate phone number to contact. We were assured that someone from the "escalation department" would reach out to us -- that has not happened. Instead, we've been given false promises, passed around, and completely ignored. The amount of time and effort wasted trying to correct a problem that never should have occurred is unbelievable. We have photos documenting the condition of the couch at delivery. Buyer beware of the reguard 5 year protection plan. I purchased a sectional sofa equipped with 3 recliners. The salesperson told me that they offered a 5 year protection plan that cost $389.00 but it would protect the recliners if anything went wrong and also among several other things it covered damage from human or pet accidents. The salesperson seemed to really push the protection plan and because it had recliners and I have dogs I decided to purchase the plan. Well we received the sofa as planned . 6 months after purchase my dog urinated on the sofa. I was pretty upset because of the new sofa but I was thankful i purchased the protection plan. When I called to file the claim I got the run around. They asked for pictures of the serial number which are located underneath the sofa and because it's a sectional it has 3 different serial numbers difficult to locate and photograph . The sectional is very heavy and they required photos. Well we managed to photograph the serial #'s using a scope and sent in the information . They took over 2 weeks to reply only after I kept calling and they said they decided to mail me a cleaning kit so I could clean it myself and not a professional cleaning service. I could of saved the $389 and bought a can myself. I hope I never need the protection plan because it seems to be a fraudulent policy. I still had to wait 10 days to receive my kit. Might of got a great deal on a couch, but not worth the hassle. No accommodations were made to help deliver to our home or with loading. Before arrival, I called the store to ask if the couch would be wrapped for loading so we could be prepared. They told yes, that would be taken care of. Then when we arrived, to my surprise the couch was not wrapped - leading me to run to target & purchase material of my own. I have no problem providing my own supplies but it could have been avoided if they were all on the same page. Not only that, but then I ask at the store if they have any wrapping & they tell me no. Then a few minutes later, someone from the sales floor comes out & says "I have wrap, but it's mine.. I'll give it to you for $20". Walked in knowing exactly what I wanted, twin adjustable frame & cooling temp mattress. Greated as I walked in and told the associate exactly what I wanted. Giving this a 3 because I had 2 experiences, one a 5 & one a 1. First experience was store visit - bought a Labor Day sale couch & loveseat. Was told it would be delivered in October. Checked on order 10 days after I purchased. I was given a phone number to check on order but it was an offshore call center. Took forever to get an agent & when I did they said order had been cancelled. Why? They couldn't tell me. I asked for US based supervisor which doesn't exist. The overseas supervisor told me that it item was no longer available but I never got any notification. Then I made a purchase online. Took only a few days to receive furniture & the delivery team of Miguel Macias was amazing! They were on time, polite, & helped me get the furniture into my house when they didn't need to. Cannot stress this enough, but make an appointment with Nelson or whichever sales associate you prefer! Made the mistake of assuming Nelson will be there when we arrive, so we did not make an appointment, and boy was that a mistake... As soon as we walked in, we were helped by Luis and initially it was great, he showed us the sofa we were looking at the last time we were here with Nelson and we already knew what mattress we wanted to purchase. He told us that he could give us the sofa for 50% off the original price if we were to purchase the luxury tempur-pedic hybrid mattress, which was a whopping $2000-$3000+. We declined, since we already had chosen a memory foam mattress that was out front, and he kept trying to talk us into buying the more expensive mattress with all these functions such as massaging, which we honestly do not need. When we decided to purchase the items, my mom wanted to know the total estimate including tax for the sofa and the mattress and Luis kept on trying to push us to purchasing for the delivery option, when we already mentioned that we are fine picking it up and assembling the sofa ourselves. (Note, the difference with the delivery/expert assembly was nearly a $400 difference.) We told him that we understand that there is some assembly required and that we are fine with doing it ourselves, but he kept going on about how complicated it is and by paying a little more, they will assemble it for us. Eventually he gave us the total price, with the delivery fee...? We had to ask again to give us the estimate without the delivery fee, so we can compare the two prices with and without delivery/assembly. I was on a time crunch and had to leave soon, but he kept explaining that we need it delivered and having them assemble it for us is the best option. Finally, the manager who was by the front gave us the cost without delivery/assembly, which was a more reasonable price for us. Although Luis was friendly, he made it feel like we were purchasing a car, with all the pressure he was trying to put on us to purchase a more expensive option and adding things we did not want to have.. My mom and I definitely preferred Nelson, since he did not once try to push us into purchasing a more expensive option during our first visit. Unfortunately for us, we saw Nelson while we were at the front trying to get the estimate, so we didn't want to be rude to Luis and change sales associate right when we were preparing to purchase our furniture. Soooo many choices for every room of your home or apartment. Every item on display was perfectly displayed, clean and well organized. Prices was amazing! So many items were on sale offering huge discounts and Black Friday specials one week after the official Black Friday. Our sales Rep, Angel was AWESOME!! The only reason this isn't a one star review is because our sales associate, David, was very helpful. He wasn't pushy, gave me space to look around, ready with a tape measure and to help me figure out which sofas worked for our space. Our order was unique-we were debating having two sofas or a sofa and loveseat option. Since all sales are final once the item arrives we chose to have our pieces delivered one at a time. We would call Ashley to let them know the choice we made (both products were the same cost) and then set up the delivery for the second item after. This plan was discussed with David and his manager. We go through the plan exactly as discussed. I called Ashley furniture to confirm we wanted the loveseat and they told me it would be delivered on such a date. When the date arrives I have to reach out to Ashley to ask for the delivery time. They tell me it's scheduled for pickup from their warehouse and not for delivery. I went through online chat, over the phone, spoke with David when the store opened. The collective summary is "someone messed up, when do you want it delivered?" Did they attempt to have it delivered today? Probably not. Did they offer anything to make things right for their mistake? No. Just business as usual. It's one thing to make a mistake, but it's another to not have any real means to correct it. End table I ordered was delivered broken had to send another one took a week. Drawer on the bottom of the bed was also broken. Had to send technician out to "fix" it. A week later I removed the mattress to clean the bottom of the bed and I found the bottom of the frame broken. They need to send the replacement parts out and a technician to "fit" it. Came to the store and I was suggested to purchase a Bunkie Board to help evenly distribute the weight on the bed. I was given this at cost and store manager Victor said. I went into the store and Jose Velasquez sales person sold me 2 sectionals 1 dining table with 6 chairs and a king size bed all totaled more than $12,000 he and the store manager at that time His name was Victor assured me that if the sectional didn't fit right there would be absolutely no problem exchanging them, I called and I spoke to Jose Velasquez and he denied he ever told me that and after having a heated argument with him he literally hung up on me. So he is a liar and brushed off the $12,000 I spent there. The store manager is racism. He discriminate us because we are Chinese. Our bed came with big damage and dressers have a lot cracks. We have no where to sleep because the damaged furniture cannot be installed. I have to take my two babies out for hotel. The customer service said we could ask local store for compensations because a lot of people do that. Also we did get compensation from them several years ago for a damage sofa. It was my aunt called them shes white people. But I came today, the manager said they won't do the compensation for us with very bad attitude. It's so unfair to be discriminated. most of the customers are Chinese people cuz we are rich. That's why you guys hire these Chinese sales. Shame on you the store manager read more

Walked into Ashley Furniture with my girl, and not a single worker offered help or even said a word to us. We were passed by multiple employees who completely ignored us. Do NOT purchase the protection plan from this store. It's a complete rip off. The "leather" couch we bought from them is coming apart at the seams and the one time we wiped it off with water it started to fade in color. I contacted the protection plan company and they came back with this... "Based on the Terms and Conditions of your Protection Plan, and all relevant documentation received, the damage that you are reporting is non-warranted. Damaged Item: Reclining Power Sofa Damaged Area: Seat Cushion Type of Damage: Color Loss / Seam Separation" Interesting since if you read the policy they .pdf'd (f'd being strangely appropriate!) to me it clearly states "rips, tears or punchures as well as dye transfer" are covered. So which is it?!!! I should add I called last year and was told someone would come out to evaluate and fix it and never got another reply! This is my second attempt to get service. Horrible! We came into the store looking for a new sofa that also converts to a pullout. As we walked into the store, we were greeted by a smiley woman name Andrea. She asked us if we needed help with anything. We told her what we were looking for and she directed us to the sofas & showed us which ones also converted to a pullout bed. We found what we were looking for & love our new sofa/pullout bed. As we were leaving as asked her to show me some Cal-king bed frames. I just wanted to look at them & see what was the price range. Luckily we found a Cal-king bedframe on CLEARANCE! We weren't looking for anything specific. We just needed a Cal-king bedframe & bought one. It was a perfect Sunday for shopping!
