You see, I went in to return a pair of work/tactile boots and some of the workers looked at me a little weird. Aside from that the older gentleman accused me of coming in regularly to return things and this would be the last time I can do this. So, I said in reasonable defense "I have not ever done this, this is only the first time I returned anything at big 5. Anyway, he said well, someone who looks like you keeps doing this. (By the way, I'm a black woman). So he reluctantly does the return and warned him not to judge anyone this way, but he just kept arguing with me. And the other employees were just standing there just simply not caring. I'm writing this review in the hope that NO ONE, especially a person of color has this experience.

I checked the receipt and it had a $17 shipping charge. I called their (seemingly offshore) customer support and explained that I thought I had been incorrectly charged. The customer service agent said they would discuss the refund with their supervisor. I also sent an email to their customer service email address and heard nothing back. Absent any refund or response, I filed a dispute with my credit card company and Classic Accessories can enjoy the charge back fee. The cover is still sitting in its box ready to be returned. I'll never buy anything from this company directly again and will simply buy another brand or buy through Home Depot who actually honor their shipping and refund policies.

Justin told me he would make a few calls to people who owned ducks after I got off the phone with him. A few minutes later I got a call from a duck farmer. Due to an unfortunate circumstance with one of my bindings I was unable to ride the board I rented, causing me to rent another board on the mountain. Moxie and Yvette were very compassionate of the circumstance and offered to let me rent again in the future free of charge for the time I missed using their rental. Highly recommend this shop as they treat you like family from the moment you walk in and not just another dollar in their pocket. Merry Christmas!

One guy would be helping then walk away then another would come over. It seems a bit disorganized. Also, I was told someone would call when my background check came back, but based on the reviews, I decided to call and found out I had passed with no notification. I reached out by email to someone about another issue, which I later realized was not an issue and my husband made a mistake, but they were very good at reaching out and trying to rectify the situation, which I appreciated. Bottom line, there needs to be better training for the guys at the gun counter. Most of them are knowledgeable and helpful, but definitely a lot of disorganization with helping of customers and getting/communicating information.
