I called about a wild baby duck that I saved from the highway that I couldn't take care of and asked if I could give them to tractor supply because they have baby ducks. Justin told me he would make a few calls to people who owned ducks after I got off the phone with him. A few minutes later I got a call from a duck farmer. Absolutely no shelter or wildlife sanctuary was answering the phone but Justin did!!! The baby duck (I named Jumpy) would NOT be alive today if it wasn't for him. Thank you so much Justin!! We have been shopping at this Tractor Supply for the past few years and have been so happy with the customer service. There is always someone willing to help find or explain a product: new employees and those with years of experience. Today was another one of those days where we needed a bit of extra help. Sure enough, Stan, a manager at this location, was able to find a solution to our fencing dilemma. Part of the issue was the length advertised by the fencing supplier being slightly off. With a little extra time and a lot of help from Stan, we are all set to move forward on our project. We could not be more grateful for his outstanding customer service. I've kept chickens for years and always used straw bedding, when I went to grab straw the store was out and an employee recommended cedar shavings bedding as the only in stock alternative. Unfortunately, I was naive to how deadly cedar bedding can be to even adult chickens and lost some of my best layers to respiratory illnesses that vet RX helped with but couldn't cure. I should have looked into it before trusting their suggestion and now i'm out not only my good layers, but the money and time it will cost to raise new chickens. I went to Tractor Supply in Puyallup to purchase a 5x8 gate trailer. Jen, the manager, was super helpful and made it happen. However, two days after I got it the wheel fell off, luckily in a parking lot so not catastrophic, and Jen was on it! It wasn't the fault of the store but the manufacturer as the cotter pin wasn't installed at the factory. Jen helped make sure the Carry-on Trailer company didn't screw me and made sure I got my repair reimbursement. She didn't have to do that as it wasn't Tractor Supply's fault, but she was all about customer service. This place is pretty okay. They have a fairly large selection of farming supplies (surprise?!), including items to care for your animals, as well as fencing those animals in, and farming equipment. They also have a surprisingly large selection of home supplies - various cutesy trinkets, toys, things of that nature. I came in for animal supplies and ended up wandering through the whole store. Animal supplies here are more expensive than other places, but not outrageously so. read more

I ordered cat and dog food online. They sent the wrong cat food. The can of dog food arrived quite damaged. All the cans were so smashed and dented, they didn't stand up right. Just went to this Tractor Supply today. Usually buy a couple of hundred dollars every month from the company. Don't usually go to this store but was in the area so dropped by to pick-up some hay. This store doesn't load your hay into your truck. I usually go to the Puyallup, Olympia, and Chehalis stores and they all load your hay. And when I complained the fork lift operator basically said "Too Bad". And when I asked how much each bale weighed neither the cashier, the manager or the fork lift operator knew. I've been buying hay for over 50 years and have always bought hay based on weight. Some feed stores even post the weight of the bales that they sell. I really miss Del's. Del's wasn't perfect but at least they knew what livestock owners needed and trained their employees. read more

The staff in Port Orchard is pretty helpful and friendly. Do NOT sign up for their "no fee" credit card, even with the free trailer rental. It's not free, and they are quick to ding your credit. read more

Tractor Supply bought out Dels and so when Del's reopened as TS & at a location closer to me I said sure & checked it out a few times. I've been 5 or more times now spread that out over a few months and am always disappointed. When they first opened as TS they didn't know which brands they would carry over from Dels, turns out they dont carry any of my old brands. TS seems to have a agreement with Dupont so they push those brands as being top shelf even though they aren't the same quality as others. They actually sold me a bag of feed in 2016 that had been milled in 2011, it was so old and grey the pellets had most turned into powder. I was appalled. The store is on the larger side but its mostly filled with what I would describe as yuppy junk. Home furnishings, cute signs or statues, cards, hobby farm magazines & books, 'cowboy' boots & shirts. The sort of lifestyle stuff you really dont need but they want to sell to you to maybe make up for not really being a decent feed store so instead they are more of a lifestyle store I think. They almost never have 50# bags of organic chicken feed in stock. They will try to sell you 25# bags at a super huge markup. I dont think they carry soy & corn free feed if that matters to you. They brought in a manager from TS to run things and he comes off as arrogant and unwilling to help when I tried to get clarification on when they would get stock of items they claimed to carry. They do have three redeeming qualities. 1. They are open late & 7 days a week so if you schedule doesn't allow you to get to one of the other better feed stores you could go here in a bad (it'd have to reeealy bad) pinch. 2. They have a locked in price on hay year round at $7 and change. 3. They have a good selection of welded wires, panels, gates, electric fencing etc but still you could get this at another feed store. read more

I'd like to give zero stars. Very disappointed in the store- selections are great prices good. However customer service is terrible and the customer service center there is a joke, two young ladies working not one of them looked up to offer assistance. Checkers one instance very rude on another occasion offered unsolicited advise that was in fact not correct information. COASTAL HAS MY BUSINESS! Hello I recently visited your location today looking for a stock tank filter. I went to the customer service located in the center of the store. I was greeted by Karen she had pig tails. Once she greeted I started to ask my question. 1 word in a other one of your workers started to talk to Karen. Karen then shifted all her attention to the worker. Okay she said looked at me and said one moment please and walked away. After 5-8 mins of standing at the customer service Karen returned. I said I was looking for a stock tank filter. She then looked at an item on the counter and said is this your online order ? You can use this computer here to search for what your looking for and if we Carry it. She then flipped the computer to my face and was like here you can search ! Why would I use a computer to search when I asked you Karen ? After clicking the screen she walked away from the counter. Behind the counter was the stock tank supply's. I then told her again what I was looking for. Nah this is it all we have. I then explained what it was. She said okay I'll look. Not even 2 mins into helping me she said I'll be back with you in a moment. She was then yet again helping another online order. Even tho I had been now in the store for 20 mins looking myself And with Karen's so called " help " ! I walked to the register to purchase my bag of Horse stall deodorizer. She looked at me then kept helping others. If this is the service you give I won't ever be back. Sad to say this is only my second visit to tractor supply. I can't speak about the farming supplies there as when I was researching online I was mainly looking for Shleich toys and saw that Tractor Supply carried some (as most feed/farm supply stores do nowadays). I was greeted by the cashier when i first walked in, Natasha. She even went out of her way to ask what I was looking for and even directed me to another aisle that had more toys.
