As I am a fan of World Market, this is of course a five star review. They have a bit of everything at very good price points. Small gift items, jewelry, household goods, things you didn't even know you needed in the kitchen, foods, snacks. It's just a very fun store to wander and find the things you can't find any where else. Stop in, look around. Enjoy a moment of leisurely browsing. The shopping plaza is big and there is lots of parking but you may end up in a parking spot away from your destination so wear your comfy shoes. You'll want those for shopping anyhow. read more

I frequently visit the store On the landing. today Was my son's first time ever visiting the store We were made to Feel very uncomfortable My son and I both are African American. We were followed throughout the whole store. It was so bad that we didn't even purchase anything and he was there. Specifically to purchase incenses and oils because I raved about them. I work at LA fitness I spend a lot of time in the store shopping and walking around. This was the first time I was made to feel discriminated against. Love shopping here! Always something new to see. Staff are so helpful and friendly! The only downside to this store is the parking, as selfish and entitled people tie up the parking and go to LA Fitness! Since they want to "work out" park further and walk in! It turns out I have a furniture guardian angel and her name is Nicole and she happens to work at this Cost Plus. I found the perfect chair at the Southcenter store only to find out it's sold out everywhere. I bought one online from the Lynwood location and called Renton to see if they had another. Turns out they didn't. Nicole was really kind on the phone and patiently explained that they can't sell me the floor model. Keep reading, it gets good... later, Nicole was working in the stock room and found one! She used the caller ID to find my phone number and call me! I had the chair in 15 minutes- she had also brought it to the front of the store for when I came to get it. I worked with another gal there and she was also extra helpful and kind: there was a discount with with being an online member and she helped me find my account to get that. Sadly, my order was cancelled on Lynwood so I have one chair but need two. I hope I can find another send I don't have to return the one I have- it has such a feel-good story attached to it. read more

Patience has to be had with World Market these days since their name is indicative of their business model. And when your business model is sourcing from the world and the country is experiencing some of the worst supply chain issues since ever what is in stock and out of stock is constantly in flux. World Market, though, is adapting. The store expands and contrasts sections depending on availability. Some times I go in and they have a robust furniture selection. Other times it has been only a couple of tables. Some times I see a variety of plates and utensils and other times it is limited to a rack. Lately they've been having a lot of different food items. Before the food was only in the back but lately it has spread throughout the store. They have Asian snacks, Scandinavian pickled meats and fish, Italian pasta, and flashback soda I didn't know was still made. The staff often doesn't know if an item will be back in stock which isn't surprising considering they're still a corporation and they just don't have the information. I still go because I like the variety and I enjoy the quality having purchased unique furniture from them in the past. read more

Cost Plus is a fave store of mine. Have you ever done that game while out at happy hour or on a date where you ask certain questions to find out the tastes of your friends or date? (Can't remember it right now.) My point is that Cost Plus is often one of my three stores I give as my answer when I'm asked if I could have a credit card with no limit to any store, which one would it be. This location is slightly bigger than the one in Southcenter but smaller than the one in Bellevue. i came in to buy things for Easter for my friends and found exactly what I wanted. They always have the greatest things for holidays. I also love the selection of chocolate here. Ritter Sport in every flavor they have can be found here along with many other chocolates and candies you can't buy anywhere else in the states. Perugina, Brix and Mo's are all great and sold here. The cashier that helped me was great and friendly. Checkout the flyers that come in the mail for their ads along with coupons. You can also sign up for their emails. Hi, I was denied entrance to the store 50 mins before 8pm the time it says renton landing store closes. There were 3 women working in the store. They're were also 4 other people try to get in to the store as the manager said they closed threw the glass doors. Which is so rude to not even open the doors to speak to people. I've missed you World Market, and it's been awhile since I've paid you a visit! Yesterday I fell in love with you all over again!!! ---Ran in to grab something for a last minute themed bridal shower gift and wasn't expecting to find much. My budget was far from large but I found a complete basket worth of goodies for around $30!! 3 types of pasta, 2 sauces, cheese, sparkling lemonade, a card and a basket!!! Nicole was EXTREMELY helpful and was willing to offer suggestions and even wrapped my basket beautifully...........for FREE!!!! I was beyond happy with the fact that I've left the store spending under $50, that I practiced self restraint and got nothing for myself, tasted an awesome local apple cider and banana beer, got free gift wrapping and had plenty of time to spare before the start of the party. ---Thank you Nicole!!! I definitely spent a fair amount of time simply wandering the place, pondering how modestly I wanted to fill my new studio home. If I had a "house", how sweet would it be to fill it up with sweet nicknacks, paddiwacks and thingamajigs?! The Asian associate, Nena(?), was very friendly & helpful when chatting and with a question I had on the clearance shelf. The other gals I spoke with were nice with some minor brain farts. :) I came away with some unique silverware, kitchen and bath basics. I forgot if there's a diverse map of sourced goods but everything seemed of great quality. What just happened? I spent an HOUR in this store. My first time in. I can only imagine what my future visits will be like. This place is huge. It reminds me of like Pier 1 combined with Fuego and Bed Bath & Beyond. Tons of just random gifts and gadgets, food, wine, household items. They have so much stuff. A lot of it is really unique items that you can't find other places too. I came in for one thing, and ended up buying four other items too. Anyways, a lot of things I found include: kitchenware, blankets, unique foods from other countries, coffees, teas, games, wine, holiday decor, gift sets, pet stuff. So much to look at. I literally circled the store 3 times to make sure I wasn't missing anything. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Make sure you sign up for their membership club online - you get a 15% off coupon when you sign up, and every $200 you spend you get a reward. They also have member only prices on wine. I am so excited to come back again when I get a house and buy all the dorky little things for my kitchen! Pretty inexpensive too! read more

This location is awesome. It is never super busy and I can always find a neat gift for just about anyone. Great selection of beer and wine and the prices are reasonable. If you are a member of their passport club they always have special discounts on different items in the store. They have everything from furniture, to bathroom decor, lotions, potions, jewelry, candles and just about anything you can think of in here. I love the seasonal stuff they get in. They're the only place where I can find my Violet Crumble bars from Australia! They are a bit on the pricy side for a candy bar $3.99 but I guess you have to keep in mind about the export costs and middle man and all that. I usually buy 3 at a time just to get my Violet Crumble fix. Keep a look out for their sales and coupons in the paper. They're scarves, jewelry and candles are surprisingly really nice and you can usually find them on sale. They have the cutest organizational things too and when you can catch them on sale with a coupon (usually 20% off or $10 off $40), it makes the items worth it even more! The staff is friendly and really helpful. The only problem I ever had was the last time I went in--the cashier took about 10 minutes to ring me up (that's a really long time to ring up 3 candy bars and 3 scarves) since he couldn't figure out how to give me gift receipts. He had to void transactions and return things and didn't figure out my coupon situation, so it just took longer than necessary. On top of that, he ended up giving me the wrong receipt back so I had to go back in ask for the right one they put in their recycle pile. Good thing I wasn't in a rush. Other than that, I've never had any other issues and will continue to stop by here for my Violet Crumble and anything else that may catch my eye! read more

This store is very organized. Spacious and filled wonderful imports from candy to wine as well as decorum like furniture. I love the large selection of wine here. They are carefully labeled and organized so that customers can clearly figure out which wine they should buy based on the helpful descriptions and display of recommendations. In general, I enjoy World Market shopping - the fun little snacks, cards, accessories, housewares. This one is especially great, mostly due to the staff. Amy and Sam are particularly helpful and kind, often making good recommendations and maintaining such an upbeat and calm environment. Yesterday, on Christmas Eve, I was having a particularly challenging time due to a perfect storm of both weather and circumstances and several mishaps and miscommunication throughout the day. I ended up stranded at closing time, waiting for my son to come pick me up, while juggling several heavy bags and am artwork. I was near tears and getting distraught, and these women were all kind, comforting, and reassuring - staying late on Christmas Eve to ensure I would be safe. I am so grateful! Thank you! read more

This was my second stop at a Cost Plus this fateful weekend and it was only slightly better than the Southcenter/Tukwila location. I was sent here due to Southcenter not having inventory on a specific table we wanted. The reason I'm dinging them stars is for the below: * When I called from Southcenter to ask if they could confirm the floor model was still there and sellable; they put me on hold for 10 mins after they found it to 'check more inventory'. Southcenter had showed me the inventory and that they wouldn't get more in stock until early February. I wasn't asking about 'more' inventory; I was asking if I could buy that one off the floor * When we showed up to buy the table (15 mins later), they had moved it to the back (which was fine) but got weird when we asked if we could see it first to confirm that it wasn't too beat up. Floor models are usually ok but you never know. * The table was brought out and then and only then did the clerk mention that there was a huge scratch in the wood on the top and that he'd offer us 10% off. I appreciate the 10% off discount for the scratch but the gentlemen at the front had wanted us to pay upfront. It seemed sketchy with how it 'was' damaged. We paid and then were told to drive our car to the rear of the store and they would help us load it. Since it was a floor model, it was already setup and we didn't need to deal with assembly when we got home. The process of loading was fairly quick and only took about 5 mins. The table fits in our entryway and it's a solid table. I know this store might be still fairly new (as in the sign for 'now open' was still flying outside) so perhaps they will work out some of these kinks in the coming months. read more

I love this place! All of the staff are super friendly. One of the employees even helped me to sign up for a FREE membership to their program so I could get 10% percent when I went to check out. Ultimately I ended up saving about $24. The size of this World Market is a little smaller than most others, but they still have a lot of the same great things.
