Made in Washington is a wonderful shop with all items made locally in ... drumroll ... Washington! Most items lean towards higher end, especially at this location since Bellevue is a higher income area. I have also observed regular rotation of new items and displays. During today's visit, they have a new dried fruit tea corner, with glass pot and glass simmer bottle. There's also a fantastic custom glass decor display. See photo. Another new find is the small batch lotions in glass containers. I have been seeing these more so in high end boutiques; it's nice to see MinW also carrying some. Their reliable regulars remain to be artistic Seattle souvenirs, salmon filets, and chocolates! I won't dismiss the other comments that same or similar items are commonly more expensive at this store. I think there's a convenience value to a wonderful selection of locally made items vs. hunt-and-pick myself. For some items, I would instead go to a local drugstore to buy (chocolate bars). But if they gave me the idea for the product, I'll buy it from them instelad.

Such a cute store in Bellevue Square. Yes, items might be a little expensive, but if you're looking for a unique gift from Seattle, you'll have a good selection here. I purchased some Seattle chocolates as a birthday gift for a person who is extremely difficult to buy for ("if I can't eat it or wear it, I don't want it" type of person), and since I didn't have time to go to the source of these chocolates, this store saved me!

Lots of random little knick-knacks and souvenirs. It was a cute store overall! They also have chocolates for souvenirs here in case.

I used to come down here often but now it takes 20 minutes to get there instead of five in the old days. The window display grabbed my attention because it had a lot of cute new jellycats. Went inside and they had a small section of new Jellycats, picked up two of the Valentine's Day macaroons and looked at a couple others. They had several great sale items at 70% off. Overall, the store is super cute and the owner and the person that were working there were super nice and friendly. I find the other reviews hard to believe but maybe they've changed over the years. Would definitely stop in here again if I was looking for a gift or the latest in JellyCats..

No "hello," no acknowledgment nothing. Almost immediately after, another white customer came in and she greeted her and began helping her right away. The difference in treatment was very noticeable. Throughout the time we were in the store, she kept looking at me in a strange and uncomfortable way. It felt like we were being judged rather than welcomed as paying customers. There was no effort to assist us, check on us, or make us feel comfortable in the space. Customer service should be equal and respectful to everyone who walks through the door. Instead, I left feeling ignored and singled out. I don't take accusations like this lightly, but the experience genuinely felt discriminatory. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates how customers are being treated. No one should feel unwelcome in a business because of how they look.

They were EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNARKY. We were the only minority in the shop and they followed us the whole time making passive aggressive comments. Other customers (non-POC) were clearly looking around and they weren't constantly disrupted and being pressured to buy things. The funny part we were the only customer that bought something (maybe her harassment tactics work lol) since I thought the item was cute. When I opened my item I noticed that it was damaged. However, the employee there made us so uncomfortable that I'll count this as a loss with my defective item since I'm non-confrontational. Normally I wouldn't jump to conclusions about racial issues unless it feels HEAVILY targeted as such (nothing differentiate us from the other customers other than we were non-white, i.e our attire and mannerisms were no different than the other customers). Something was off about her and clearly whatever issues she internally had was projected on to us. Definitely won't be back, nor recommend. **Update** I went to google to post my review there also because my experience was that bad. But before I posted I saw other people's reviews and SHOCKER (not really) the majority of people that posted bad reviews on customer's experience and feeling very dismissed/mistreated were MINORITIES. Where there's smoke there's fire....... My spidey senses are picking up that it's probably the same employee and she clearly does not like ANY melanin...

You never know what you'll find, but there's always a lot to look at and be inspired by. Big ticket items aside (and there are plenty), there are also so many stylish and reasonably priced smaller pieces. I especially love checking out the unique children's items they carry because finding cool stuff for kids that isn't ordinary big box store brands can be really difficult. Also, they GO OFF with holiday decor. I don't even like seasonal decor, but their art and decorations are just different. We called ahead to make an appointment and it was super clean and seemed like we were the only customers there, which made it feel less stressful with Covid. I ended up getting a really cute stuffed animal and blanket for my niece, and a Jonathan Adler candle for myself. Downside is parking at the mall, and distance from Seattle being in Bellevue, but the curated selection is worth the drive to know you're going to find something unique.

I received an automated response first asking for the order number even though it was already included, and then another response saying they cannot assist through email and redirecting me back to phone, live chat, or text. This confirms the issue: no one is taking ownership. I am still requesting supervisor escalation, guaranteed delivery with the correct crew, replacement of the damaged headboard, and meaningful compensation for the repeated failed deliveries, damaged item, lost time, and inconvenience Original review: 1/5 -- Extremely disappointing experience with Crate & Barrel. We purchased a bed and dresser for around $6,000 from Crate & Barrel on May 25, expecting a premium product and smooth delivery experience. The problems started in the store. We were encouraged to apply for a Crate & Barrel store card for financing and were told it would commonly support a much higher financing amount. We applied, received only a $1,000 limit, and were told to accept it and that the issue would be corrected later. It was not corrected, but the application still affected my credit score. Then came the delivery issues. Our delivery was scheduled for June 3. The team brought in part of the bed, opened the headboard, and found a large crack. They said it had to be returned. We asked them to at least bring in the dresser, but they said they only had two people and it was too heavy. Customer service did not take meaningful ownership. We explained that we had guests coming for a housewarming and needed the bedroom completed urgently, but we were told nothing could be done and had to wait another week. On June 10, the rescheduled delivery failed again. The driver called and said they did not have enough people to bring the furniture in, canceled the delivery, and then stopped answering calls. We paid premium pricing, lost multiple days waiting at home, received damaged furniture, and still do not have the furniture delivered. Our bedroom is unusable right before guests arrive. This has been the worst shopping and delivery experience we have had at this price level. Crate & Barrel needs to take responsibility, deliver with the correct crew, and provide real compensation for the failed deliveries, damaged item, and wasted time.

Service was fine at Woods Coffee and The Container Store; not great, not bad. I was happy that Woods Coffee had Kombuchas for sale, and my Kombucha that I bought there was pretty good. The price was decent for it too, Kombuchas are not super cheap even when buying them at the grocery store, so for a coffee shop in a mall-like area I was satisfied with the price for it. I drink Kombucha often. I love the Container Store, and I could spend hours in there. The selection was excellent. However, despite my enjoyable browsing, I just bought a load of white cardboard boxes that I had pre-ordered to make a maze/playhouse for my cat. I thought his maze/playhouse would look much nicer if I used white cardboard boxes that do not have labels all over them, rather than brown cardboard amazon boxes. Service and selection at the Paper Source were both outstanding. That was my favorite store that I visited here. I bought several items there, and felt super relaxed and welcome while in that store. Very nice area, I would return for sure.
