Candy Cane Christmas Lights

The service was self-checked, so it was good. They have a good selection of merchandise. The value that I paid for today was good.

Stopped by this store to return an item I bought at Issaquah store since I'm in the hood. The clerk helped me was very patience and the lady he paged to help was also very nice and kind. Pam even found a same item I wanted thats in working condition and it was 5$ less than Issaquah store. This is the first time I've had this kind, patience and very helpful people in stores like this. They were nice when I needed assistance but today was exceptional and I feel the need to acknowledge both Pam and the nice clerk.

Curbside pickup line. The purple/green panels have handwritten instructions for drivers.

Descent place for craft items. When not on sale, prices are too steep.

And I like this location because it's across the street from JoAnn Fabrics, so if I can't find something at Michael's, I can check right next door.

The New Knittery - Come to visit the yarn wall. Stay to knit.

The New Knittery

I've been a customer at the Knittery since the prior owner was only a clerk/knitting instructor…read more The rich history of this place being purchased by employees from the retiring owner makes it a must-stop place to shop, no matter where they've been located. From the old, old shopping center in the 80s by JC Penny, to the small location by IKEA and then this one, I've been a customer and followed them, literally, since 1986, and learned how to read a pattern through classes that were worth the 30 minute drive to get there, even with a houseful of babies. Got a question? I encourage you to call and ask. You won't be disappointed. I've been told "we'd love to see you but we don't have that in stock right now." The honesty is refreshing. Do they seem busy? Speak up; they're just waiting to hear what you need and will get to you as soon as they can. The best experience is to allow ample time to browse. You'll won't be nagged while deciding on the perfect pattern, and they'll gladly help you choose the perfect yarn to make it, if you can't decide which yarn on your own. I'm treating myself to a special trip just for yarn tomorrow; my birthday present to myself. I can't wait! I'll probably still miss Wynne, but I hope I'm still around to see these ladies retire and pass the store on to the employees who will buy it in the future.

I took in a skein of yarn that had been munched on by moths (thankfully they were long gone post feast) and Shannon, one of the lovely gals who works there, spent over two hours unravelling, hand winding and then winding the little balls into one beautiful cake. I highly recommend this space if you are looking for some very nice folks to help you find what you need and provide classes of all kinds.

I'm so glad we live in a world where concepts like this exist…read more I've never knitted or crochet, but I've recently picked up sewing and it's grown my appreciation and curiosity for hand crafting. Needles & Hooks is stocked with more yarn than I previously thought existed on planet earth. They have every color/pattern you could imagine and all the accessories to go along with it. I also love the art pieces scattered throughout the shop, giving it a whimsical feel. I truly couldn't pick a favorite.. but gun to my head? I loved the hand knitted frogs. Whether you're an experienced knitter or just looking to breathe in all the crafty air, this is a great place to spend your weekend. I felt my body instantly gravitate to this store and left feeling inspired to create.

Needles and Hooks was just a nice as the last time I went. The yarn here is more expensive than a Michaels but most if not all yarn will have natural fibers. The person who helped me out is really nice and helped verify my yarn color choices. If you buy a hank of yarn, they'll offer to cake it. I've taken the offer before and it turns out nice. I didn't during this visit. There is a decent amount of people who come to knit on Thursdays but I was there to shop. Shopping during that hour is a bit less popular since people are crafting. Parking is great and I will still mourn the fact they had to move inside the mall from their spot outside with a nice window.
