Absolutely bad service! I was so disappointed visiting this store for the first time and it is going to be last! I was so desperately looking everywhere to buy trifold project board for my son's presentation following day. I looked for stores in Bellevue and Redmond roaming over an hour. My spouse called in this store to check if they have and they confirmed they have it. I rushed from Walgreens Bellevue to this store at Crossroads 5min before store closing. Store manager did not allow me in at all, simply sighing they are closed. There was a couple inside who cane out exact 9pm that's when sliding doors opened. I went in requesting to grab the board, explaining they made me wait outside until it passed 9pm and the store manager simply mentioned we were closed. I told that it was not fair to not allow a customer who made it 5min before store closed but she showed not courtesy! I felt so bad! The two other persons working in the store watched helplessly! Shouldn't a customer be allowed in 5 min before closing? I understand people may be tired etc. but small courtesy would have made huge difference :( read more

Looks and smells like a Home Depot but for crafts. Immediately upon walking in my nostrils were slapped with a mixture of craft paints, wood, and potpourri scents. I wasn't too thrilled about the concoction of smells. Items here are heavily overpriced. Never pay full price. Always wait and use coupons. Online shopping will save you slightly more. I found it funny that one item was 25% off online but in store it was listed as "buy one get one 50% off" which works out to be literally 25% off one---but if you buy it in the store they force you to get two and "technically" spend more money haha. I do like the fact that they carry some items here that other craft stores don't but the pricing can be a bit ridiculous. read more

I have just about had it with the sale dupes throughout the store. Called to see if there were spring blossoms on sale and was told yes. 50% off on all Ashland blossoms. As I live in another town, I drove in. Half the blossoms were on sale...same brand...depended on the color of the sticker...and they were all blossoms. The ones I needed were not on sale. Happens all the time here. Heard the same from other customers. When the manager came...she offered nothing but a complaint that she had just had to work 16 hours straight. A clerk even admitted they get a lot of complaints from people trying to figure out their pricing. Would not recommend shopping here. read more

This is a great Michaels, with lots and lots of items, perfect for your crafting needs and more! Located in the Crossroads Mall, there is an entrance with its own private lot right in the front, so parking is super easy and accessible. But I'm always impressed by how much stock they have, especially compared to other locations. I really enjoy coming here for craft supplies and Christmas decor, which they never run out of. Plus, most everything in the store is always, always, always on sale! I don't think I've ever purchased anything here full price, making it especially nice to stock up on my art supplies and such. Also, compared to other locations, this Michaels seems to have many employees on the sales floor or at the registers. Checking out is always fast and quick no matter how busy it gets, and there's always someone around to ask questions or look up stock on the floor. In more particular, I've had a few items custom-framed here, and the employees were super helpful, assisting me with different frames, layouts, glassware, etc... They also didn't push me to get anything out of my price range, by asking how much I was willing to spend and only providing those options. Hallelujah! Overall, this is my go-to store for crafts, party supplies and seasonal decor. There's always a ton of stock with helpful and friendly employees, willing to assist you. Great store! read more

(Covid-19 lock down period review) Our go to place for all things craft. Today I picked up some paint and canvases for a fun project with my daughter this long weekend. Ordered online and drive by for curbside pickup, which apparently is the only way you can pickup. The confirmation email made me believe I could walk by and call them or something like that, but that's not the case. When you get there there are hand written panels in front of the entrance and usually a line of cars to the side. The panels say that you have to call first, get a pick-up stall number (there are only 3 stalls) and only when that's free you can pull up to the stall and wait. Seems to be working okay, except people driving can't really see the panels and go directly to the stalls (I did it). The panels are too small, and they should be placed also at the back of the line. Anyway, at the end it works out and it's a great service, I appreciate them being open trying their best to make things safe for all. read more

This is a crafter's/artist's/ hobbyist's heaven. I've been a Michaels fan since I first walked into a store. It has everything for any craft from scrapbooking to calligraphy and even baking. While the items are more market priced there are always coupons to use with each visit. Pro tip download the michaels app and you can get easier access to coupons! I particularly love how this Michaels is set up. They have two different areas for checking out during the day when it's busier. The store is large and organized well. During the holidays, there's a HUGE section of decor. I was able to get some beautiful fall decor for the inside and outside of my apartment and for 40% of its retail price. This location also has an area for crafting classes to take place which is a nice way to get those creative juices flowing. read more

MASSIVE Goodness... for the crafting junkie! You walk in, that BOOM, it's like a visual overload... aisles and walls, all covered in creativity and what... it's all stacked up ready for the taking. You must be asking yourself, after reading this next section in quotes "Why is this fine and manly man, going to a Michaels?" I would answer, because "I was sent here for work." I was sent here on a mission, to find the ultimate awesomeness which was rubber stamps for a event... bouncer style stamps. And behold, an entire side of an aisle COVERED in stamps, stamp pads, stamp making tools, stamp ink, stamp rollers, stamp plastic cutouts, stamp sets, stamp sets.. did I mention they have stamps.. yup I was literally overwhelmed.. but wait!!! Walking down the walkway, just answering questions like a muse of Athenian heritage, she was throwing it down, and when I got my answer out into the air, like a balloon, she took it, and just make it into a balloon animal, in goodness and knowledge. BEWARE OF RACIAL PROFILING IF YOU'RE A PERSON OF COLOR. My sister came to the store exactly at opening on a Sunday 10am. The door was locked, so she waited, then another customer came (white woman) & the employee (white woman) unlocked the door for only her, closed the door on my sister face & said "NOT YET." The white woman that went in was also NOT an employee, she was just a customer. So my sister told the employee "THAT'S NOT FAIR." And the employee just looked at her weird, like she didn't do anything wrong & acted like she's never seen an Asian person speak up before! Michael's employees needs a lesson to not discriminate their customers! I am so sick of this unfair treatment, we all just want to have fun crafting too! To be brutally honest, I am NOT an arts & crafts type of girl... If need be, I can do it, but it's not something that I absolutely have to do (putting together photo albums, creating invitations, mattes for framing, etc). When the occasion arises, I have found that Michaels can be quite a useful resource. I just recently visited Michaels again in Bellevue to pick up a few things to put together a photo album. What I like about this place is that the store is pretty well layed out and I don't have to go searching around once I've found the spot with the specific items I am looking for (ie go to the opposite side of the store to get additional pages for a photobook or what have you). Add into that they seem to have a wide selection of things to choose from for what I have gone for (spray paint, photo albums, different colored paper, mattes, etc). In regards to customer service when asking questions, it can be good and can be bad, sometimes I've had to go searching for someone to ask a question. Think it just depends on the day and the amount of people within the store also asking for assistance. I have never left Michaels without getting what I needed / wanted for whatever arts and craft project I've decided to attempt. read more

I wish I could write two reviews for this place. One for the store and one for the classes/instructors. The store in itself is great, clean, accessible and well arranged so 5 stars to the store. But then I take 2 stars out because I have tried to contact Dana Courtright, one of the instructor for her classes 'n' number of times via emails and phone calls but she never did once respond. The store is clueless as to her class schedule and just pass on her contact details, but then you never get the information as all the phone calls go to a voice machine and you can forget about hearing back from her. Here's what I LOVE about this place: it seems there is ALWAYS a sale on pretty much whatever I'm looking for :D Today I went in to get some frames for oddly sized pictures (and Michael's does have a GREAT selection of frames) and I thought they were going to be $15 each but they were a part of a 40% off sale so I ended up getting each frame for under $8! Score! Another reason I love this spot -- they have a GREAT selection of art supplies (and everything else!). They have supplies for paints, pencil, pastel, etc. Wonderful! They have a really large selection of yarn (for knitting types) and lots of craft items for small children and generally have seasonal items on a sale even before the holiday they items are for (Easter items are on sale pre-Easter!). Lots of scrap-booking items, baking items (including lots of decorative items), faux flowers, etc. etc. etc. Bonus: it smells good in the shop too ;) I haven't really needed help with anything in the store before so I can't really speak (er, type) to how helpful employees are. The ladies at the register are always friendly (I have not ever checked out with a male cashier here). When we did a custom framing here (60% off and an additional $10 off - WIN!), the employee who assisted us was helpful and even recommended some good matting colors to facilitate our final decision. The custom framed piece only took 2 weeks to complete and it was really well done too. I haven't attended any of the classes offered here, but I have seen them in action at times. Weekend lines are treacherous. Go during the week. Yet, this location is mysterious to me, and I am always confused. There are check out stands in two completely different locations in this Michaels and the lines are always stacked up at the front stands. Further, there is no definitive "line" pattern at the front stands because there are way too many last-minute bins to identify what register you're supposed to commit to. Thus, the one line gets backed up down into the scrapbooking aisle. I've deduced the bin strategy is a way to get people to spend more money; heck, I've even fallen into this trap myself. Get stuck waiting, buy more from the bins. Great. Just great. Depending on what I need on my list, I go back and forth between this Michaels and the one in Kirkland. Each time I think one has the leg up on the other, I find reason to discount its reputability in my mind...and so the vicious circle goes. read more

This Michael's would be perfect if all you needed was frames or floral arrangements for your dust bunnies to live in. I think Michael's has a great selection of crafts, but their customer service is terrible. I had to go around the store to find someone to help me and when I finally did, the lady sort of yelled at me like I was stupid and expected me to know where the items were. Then on top of that, she gave me the wrong aisle numbers so I had to wander around the store for over 45 minutes looking for them. I stopped and asked about 3 other workers for help, and none of them bothered to guide me to the right aisle. I work in retail so I know how it's like to have customers ask a lot of questions, but never once have I disrespected a customer. read more

I LOVE MICHAELS! Well, I love craft stores in general but my friend told me about their '40% off one item' coupons and now I think that I'll be hooked! They have tons of great baking stuff! MUHAHAHAHA Then there were some cute Valentine stuff and when I got to the register, the cashier told me that they were on sale for half off! How awesome is that?! I bought a silicone baking pan (heart design) for $7 or $8 and a cute lil heart muffin ceramic dish for $1. Yayyyyyy! They also had tons of dollar deals but I was starving and couldn't last more than 30 minutes looking around. This location is HUGE. Which is exactly why I made the extra trip from Kingsgate out there. I needed some baking supplies and I knew the one in Juanita Village didn't have it. This place had about 2x as much supplies by Wilton and lucky for me all of it was BOGO and I had the APP coupon. If you dont have the app you have to get it. Good bye coupon clipping! I was looking for a specific cookie cutter set and when I didn't see it I asked. The sales lady actually told me to go next door to Joann fabric. REALLY? But aren't they just fabric? lol. A store the size of Safeway's dedicated to all things arts, craft and home decor. You can literally find anything and everything here to help with your designing projects...and at much more reasonable prices than Joann right across the street. I bought six 48x36 in. picture frames here recently, which were significantly cheaper than the exact same item at Target or Walmart. The staff here are really knowledgable and take the extra effort to make sure you are satisfied with what you are looking for. I used to come here to get all my supplies for art and science projects throughout high school and college....Never been disappointed. read more

Uuuuuugh Michael's is just the worst place in the world. When I was in school and taking art classes, I had to make a LOT of trips to Michael's. And every time was a huge headache. No one there has a CLUE what's going on, what they're selling, or where anything is. I swear, I never got a correct answer when asking the location of an item, and god help you if you have a question about any of the products. They are also insanely overpriced. It's only worth it to go if you have ONE item you need, you have the 40-50% off coupon, and you plan on talking to NO ONE. You still run the risk of standing in line for 40 minutes, since there is no chance of Michael's ever having more than one person at the checkout. Just had a bad experience at Michael's in Bellevue. A short gal with black hair in a pony tail, running the register, while, granted, in a big hurry, was literally SLAMMING my merchandise down onto the counter after scanning each item. Including a glass necklace pendant. Finally I said "You might not want to slam things down, they could break" and she just said "slam what down"? and I said "nevermind" and she replied "ok" sarcastically. Then I think she got worried that a coworker might hear and so I got an insincere apology and a little "huff" sound. Anyway, yeah, that is NOT good customer service. AVOID THE FRAME DEPARTMENT!!!!!! My husband dropped off a painting here, and we were shocked with the price, so later in the same day I called to let them know not to start because we decided to take it to Jo-Ann for half the price. Within a week my husband went to pick it up and drop it off at Jo-Ann. Later, I was looking at my credit card report and saw that they charged us for the frame and never refunded it, so I called them up again to find out that we would have to come to the store again to get refunded. It is rediculous that no one let my husband know when he picked it up that they needed to see his CC to do the refund. Also, both times I attempted to call them, I ended up on hold forever for the frame department and had to recall to keep getting reconnected to the frame department. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I am just hoping I actually get my refund with no further difficulty when I attempt to visit the store for my refund in the next couple weeks. RIP OFF & POOR SERVICE! read more

Why is it that every time I come here which lately has been at least once a week I have to wait in line for 10 minutes?! The people that work the registers are not friendly at all and barely make eye contact with you. It's terrible.
