The design is smart and sturdy, and it is simple and fast to disassemble and re-assemble, even simpler than smaller items like chairs and coffee tables I have purchased from competitors. During my last move, the movers lost some of the hardware for the bed. I called these guys up (16 years later, mind you), and they knew exactly what bed I had and sent me the missing hardware via first class mail to my home in California so I could get back to reassembling the bed and settling in to my new house! Compare this to the experience folks are used to these days with fly-by-night online sellers who may not be in existence a few months later, much less answering the phones and supporting their products after nearly two decades. This level of stability and integrity is how business was done in the old days, and this experience has not only drawn me back to Epoch's product line, but encouraged me to think critically about where I source my other products. Our experience was extremely frustrating. After hearing multiple admonitions about picking up my item after the 45 day consignment period was up,I returned on the 46th day to retrieve it. After searching the shop for about 30 minutes and not finding my item, the owner arrived and said "let's see if it was sold". She looked on the computer and discovered it had been sold a month ago. (Why the employee could not have done such a search when I arrived was never explained.). The owner then explained that items were "settled" on the 10th of the month following the sale. So, they have known the item was sold (and my money) for many days but could not bother to call or email me to save me a trip.

I found a great deal of a set of knives for just $26, and it was a steal! Some things were even locked up which was surprising, like literally blankets or bed sheets were needed for assistance. The place itself was MESSY. There was boxes on the ground that workers were unloading (i'd assume they unload after people leave/before the store opens) but no they were doing it right in the middle of a section, pretty inconvenient and messy. There were also random carts full of stuff from workers that were left abandoned and took SO much space. Home goods is already small and squished, no need for random carts to be in the middle of things.
