Standard TJX store. Luckily this location never harasses me about signing up for the credit card lol. I always find something cute here or whatever was on my list. Very cramped store with tons of product to look at. Friendly cashiers and easy parking in the lot. I like the location of this store with it being so close to Trader Joe's and target!

One of these sets of kitchen towels came home with me

HomeGoods shares the same parent company of TJX as Marshall's and TJMaxx. This is handy to know as gift cards can be used across these 3 chains of stores. This HomeGoods is in a 2-stories mini-mall with REI and Trader Joe's. There are plenty of parking; the only tricky thing to learn is some of the exits are right turn only. Not a big deal. As the name implies, HomeGoods have home related goods. (Haha) They have daily use items - kitchen, bath, deco including wall art (want a Van Gogh knockoff?), area rugs, etc. They also have seasonal items - Halloween, Christmas, and the like. My favorite is their food department where there are international sourced items, especially Italian pastas, sauces, and olive oil. I don't come regularly just to wander because I'm afraid of what extra things I might bring home, usually from the food department. When I come looking for something straightforward, it's a very good chance that I'll find what I need/what. The most recent being kitchen hand towels (+ Italian chocolates and Italian pastas, yikes). Anyway, I definitely recommend trying a place like HomeGoods before going to full price retailers. Side note: According to a staff member, many of their older employees decided to retire instead of dealing with the unruly public due to COVID regulations. On a weekday, the store is thinly staffed until the part time high schoolers arrive to start their shift at 5pm. Expect a wait at the registers if you go before 5pm. And please be kind.

Can you see the stain that was worth treating a very good customer like a criminal and embarrassing me?

I'm still shocked from how I was treated at the Bellevue store last night. I'm an interior designer who spends at least 10,000 per year at HomeGoods. I just finished styling my latest design project and had 4 items to return, that were purchased at various HG locations. I had all the receipts and it was within the 30 day return policy. One of a items was a rug. One employee told me that they would need to look at the rug to make sure there was no damage. That seemed reasonable, but her tone make me little uncomfortable. Moments later another clerk came to the register and told me that she would not return it because there were stains on it. I told her that the rug had not been unrolled since I purchased it, and that it must have been stained when I purchased it. Frankly, it is hard to tell if a rug has a stain when it is hanging 10 feet in the air on their racks. I explained that I was a designer who does a lot of business with them and had no reason to lie about the condition of the rug. I asked if I could see what "stains" she was talking about. I walked over to the front of the store where she had it unrolled and had 3 other employees standing there examining the rug. The rug is a 100% wool rug with a gray and cream pattern, it did look like there was a few barely noticeable spots, that would have been impossible for me to see while it was hanging on the rack. I told her again that the rug had been rolled up in my house. It was my back up rug in case I didn't find the jute chenille rug that I landed up finding and using instead. She said well, I'm not returning it and taking a loss on it. I felt like a criminal! I had never been treated like I was a liar or trying to return something that I had damaged. I told her, that she would take a loss because I would never shop at the Bellevue HomeGoods again! Maybe she was having a bad day, maybe Covid is wearing on her, they were slammed, but last time I I checked, customers should not be treated like criminals. And if they are having issues with people using rugs, staining them and trying to return them, they need to come up with a better way to ensure that doesn't happen.

Always such a pleasure, Let's get into this Over the weekend we stepped in to pick up some goods for our apartment, although we did not find what we were looking for today they always have lots of great things here. The staff is very helpful The place is clean and organized They usually have some goods you can't find anywhere else There is something for everyone. They had some items here I would have love to have gotten but were not needed so we did not make a purchase today however don't let that stop you from coming to take a look. I do strongly recommend this place for what ever you may want. Have fun looking around COVID update, they are limiting the number of people entering and they are following all guidelines so be prepared to wait in a line and have your mask.

Lots of home goods as the name implies...

I'm surprised at some of the low ratings for this location as well as the content of the reviews. Not sure if most people realize that the merchandise that is at home goods, marshals, and TJ Maxx can be factory rejects or old stock that was not sold at regular retail. It's a discount store, people - expect some imperfections in the merchandise. You are not paying full retail. Anyways, end of rant. This location is a lot better organized compared to the Fed Way store. There's also a lot more selection (probably due to the higher median income of the area). I was greeted by quite a number of smiles from the employees and checkout was fast and easy. Plenty of parking. It's a little funky to get to because it's in the same complex as REI and Trader Joe's.

I used to come down here often but now it takes 20 minutes to get there instead of five in the old days. The window display grabbed my attention because it had a lot of cute new jellycats. Went inside and they had a small section of new Jellycats, picked up two of the Valentine's Day macaroons and looked at a couple others. They had several great sale items at 70% off. Overall, the store is super cute and the owner and the person that were working there were super nice and friendly. I find the other reviews hard to believe but maybe they've changed over the years. No "hello," no acknowledgment nothing. Almost immediately after, another white customer came in and she greeted her and began helping her right away. The difference in treatment was very noticeable. Throughout the time we were in the store, she kept looking at me in a strange and uncomfortable way. It felt like we were being judged rather than welcomed as paying customers. There was no effort to assist us, check on us, or make us feel comfortable in the space. Customer service should be equal and respectful to everyone who walks through the door. Instead, I left feeling ignored and singled out. I don't take accusations like this lightly, but the experience genuinely felt discriminatory. I hope management takes this seriously and evaluates how customers are being treated. No one should feel unwelcome in a business because of how they look.

They were EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNARKY. We were the only minority in the shop and they followed us the whole time making passive aggressive comments. Other customers (non-POC) were clearly looking around and they weren't constantly disrupted and being pressured to buy things. The funny part we were the only customer that bought something (maybe her harassment tactics work lol) since I thought the item was cute. When I opened my item I noticed that it was damaged. However, the employee there made us so uncomfortable that I'll count this as a loss with my defective item since I'm non-confrontational. Normally I wouldn't jump to conclusions about racial issues unless it feels HEAVILY targeted as such (nothing differentiate us from the other customers other than we were non-white, i.e our attire and mannerisms were no different than the other customers). Something was off about her and clearly whatever issues she internally had was projected on to us. Definitely won't be back, nor recommend. **Update** I went to google to post my review there also because my experience was that bad. But before I posted I saw other people's reviews and SHOCKER (not really) the majority of people that posted bad reviews on customer's experience and feeling very dismissed/mistreated were MINORITIES. There are whimsical small items priced as small as $40! I've been greeted and so has whoever's been with me whenever I've walked around in here, whether I had any intention to buy or not. Brands that I've seen sold here are Ralph Lauren Home, Marge Carson, Baker and Hickory White. Besides interior design services, there are art pieces, home decor items and even coffee table books for purchase. The last time I visited, I dragged a friend in with me as she was intimidated by what she saw staged in front. I knew once she got over herself and looked around she would be taken aback by the beauty of the pieces. We came across this lamp that she gasped at, and an employee saw her. He came over and offered to help us out. He got a light bulb as there wasn't one in it and placed it in the lamp then plugged it in. The base was made of rock and was a pure stunner, even more so with the light on. Just fabulous. My friend collects crystals and rocks, so she went off on a tangent asking questions, and the sales agent indulged her and didn't BS her when she asked things he didn't know, and he offered to find out. They have several full, decorated Christmas trees during the holidays that you can buy and have transported home so you don't have to do any decorating yourself. During Halloween, they have some really cool decorations. I saw this killer art deco, black villianesque desk that I just LOVED.
