WARNING: DON'T EXPECT YOUR QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED…read more I called 3 minutes after opening and Frank was still on his way to the store and told me he would call me back, which is fine and I did appreciate the follow up and call back 10 minutes later. Since we have a small family room, the first question I asked was if a specific measurement range for sofas were available to make and/or try at the store. The second question I asked was regarding the fabric material and if it pils. My third question I asked was regarding the material of the cushion/if it was made of memory foam. As soon as I asked this third question, I was told that I asked too many questions and advised to go to La-Z-Boy or come in person to his store, not to mention that he quickly hung up on me. I did not realize that asking three questions, let alone shortly after opening hours, was considered too many questions. Instead of taking ownership of not knowing the answer to my third question, I was gaslit into thinking that I was in the wrong for asking that question and turned away as a potential customer. I wanted to be supportive of a local business but it seems like customer service is much better in larger chain retailers. The only positive was that I didn't waste my time driving there and experience the worst customer service in person.

Asked a salesperson named Gail to sell us chairs that we could on their website. Total would have been about $2k, over and done in ten minutes. Gail derided them as "imports" (even though most of the stuff in the showroom is made overseas), showed us nearly everything else in the store, and ultimately pressed us to buy chairs that were literally 10x more expensive than the ones we asked about. Every time we asked about the ones we wanted she told us about something far more expensive. As we left, she offered to print out data sheets about both chairs. She gave us the sheet for the super-expensive chairs, but somehow forgot to include the sheet for our first choice. I have zero faith that any deal with these people would go as expected and I'll never buy anything from them.

There it was sitting atop another table, the Holy Grail of my coffee table crusade. It was a true Danish piece, it was teak, it was vintage, and most importantly it wasn't ridiculously over-priced like a lot of tables on eBay or Craigslist. I must have had a completely different experience then some of the other reviewers at Antique Importers. The owner, Chris I believe his name is, was very friendly the entire time I was in the store. He never followed me around with his arms crossed, scowling, or treating me like a potential criminal, and yes, I do fall into the 25-30 year old looking age range. Actually, he was quite helpful and answered several questions that I had regarding the table and even took $10 off the delivery cost for me as I didn't live too far away from the store. Oh, and they even delivered the table on a Sunday evening after they closed! How many places have service like that these days? None of this "we'll be around sometime between 1pm-4pm on a Wednesday" b.s. that most places stick you with. If you're looking for larger furniture pieces, tables, chairs, sideboards etc, then you should check out Antique Importers for sure. If you're looking for smaller, more decorative items, then this might not be the best place, but there are more then a few of those shops close by in Pioneer Square.

I have never even stepped foot in a Lazy Boy store -- but I wanted to get reclining movie theater seats in a lush leather fabric so we strolled in -- and that's when our lives UPGRADED! I HIGHLY you don't just go in a browse -- it's too overwhelming. Instead I recommend you work with Margaret -- who is the designer for the store. I told her, "I am not really a lazy boy person!" She said, "I get you! What's your favorite furniture store? What's your style?" I said, "Z- Gallery. I like fancy and sparkly!" She said, "I can make Lazy Boy look like ANYTHING! Let me make your living room in Lazy Boy but it will feel like a Z-Gallery experience!" I thought, ok, whatev -- it's free. Let's see what she's got. OMG! SHE DID NOT DISSAPOINT!! She came to our house, measured our rooms and went back to her store and created a 3-D design for us. When we saw her 3-D concept for our living room -- our JAWS HIT THE FLOOR! It wasn't pretty... it was BREATHTAKING! Her services are free! Complimentary!!! She found all the pieces - according to our tastes (leather, shimmer, sparkle and velvet) and worked well with the considerations for both my husband's and my preferences. She helped us find agreements when we were wanting different things. I am good with design and color -- but I am NOWHERE nearly as talented as Margaret! WORK WITH HER! She will show you what you don't know and can't see! I cannot wait for our items to be delivered. I will write a follow up review at that time. I went Looking for a local, small business and found The Memory Mender. They came out to give us a quote and it was such a great price to do the entire refinishing job, I hired him on the spot! He showed up on time for the quote and for the work. It only took him 1.5 days. He did the job without taking off the cabinets doors, so I did not need to unpack the contents. I walked in here with no planned intention but ended up buying an entire DOOA glass and light setup. it's definitely not cheap (~$300 for the set I bought. just glass, metal arm, light, 2 rocks) but what made it worth it is the fact that Adam from this shop was SO kind and beyond helpful. he gave suggestions and advice on what I would need to get my setup working properly, down to the type of substrate for certain plants. when I was picking out a few rocks for my glass, Adam had such an aesthetic eye for which one would look nice in the environment. I'm typically so picky about achieving a certain look for tank builds, but the two rocks Adam pointed out I immediately loved and got (they even have a sand dojo area for you to play around with layout). He sees the vision and helps you execute. This type of expertise and willingness to help is absolutely what lead me to buy an entire setup on a whim! But truly, cares for your build like he would his own and he doesn't try to *sell* you anything, rather he wants the plant to thrive in the environment created, and he's happy to give advice and his time to bring you to success. I was fascinated by the mysterious water landscape. They have classes. An aquascape allows you to create your own landscape within your aquarium.
